The switching transistor is switched off for outputs higher than the intended output. The frequency is constant normally & only the high & low times of the transistor are changed as per the output conditions ( duty cycle is changed). Correct me if am wrong sir. Hlo friend... No hum directly DC ko T/F me nhi de sakte b/c In DC supply we cant get the alternating flux to be linked to the secondary. As the emf induced in secondary is directly proportional to the variation of flux in secondary. The core becomes saturated. So it cant be fed with DC supply.
High frequency me isliye work karte hn taki overall SMPS ka size reduce hojaye. As Frequency increases Transformer size reduces so overall SMPS size chota hojata hn.
Hlo friend, Friend if we connect T/F first to 220 volts AC supply the size of T/F will be very big & so the smps size will also become bulky. So we first convert it to DC and as we can not give DC voltage to T/F input, so we use chopper with technique of PWM to convert DC signal wave to Pulsating DC waveform and then we give it to T/F.
