Thank you. Straight, to-the-point, but not so fast that it looks like you're only here to impress yourself 🙂
The opposite of that is the donut guy. Once he became famous, his tutorials have become incredibly long-winded (like 20 hours that could be edited down to 6 - maybe I should do that just to prove I do video editing in my portfolio ;-)
I finished up this part 1 and added a camera rotation
I know how to do this since I saw blenderboi's better tutorial
@CG Fast Track whenever i click shadding it just closes blender any ideai?
From making donuts to sabotaging ancient ruins. Blender!!! Here I come.
LITERALLY ONE OF THE BEST TUTORIAL EVER!!!! most of the blender tutorials are so boring that i gave up in mid way . this push me to go through .
exactly 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
well you ain't gonna go far
@@bossmen6665 wow, team player

@@grimjk5707 thanks for the view. Means a lot to me
I like the way he draws the smiley face it makes me feel like i am progresss
ikr lol
I am progress too, feel gooo :D
@@jollyredninja5998he might not be a native speaker, making fun of his is a little mean :)
I agree with you brother :D
All other tutorials do not explain this well. I am impressed.
I know. Every other tutorial jumps way too far way too fast and i'm like wait, you just modeled the whole world in 5 seconds. Thanks so much!!!
then tell me how to not have exploding cubes in motion ?
Anyone looking to get into blender, this is THE tutorial to do first! Literally could not be more beginner friendly, and when I went to remake it by myself after following along with the tutorial I did the whole thing without forgetting a step in 15 minutes - tyvm for the fantastic resource! 🙏🏽
i just picked up blender, and found this literal masterpiece of a tutorial.
i've never had so much fun learning
Who else came here after modeling a donut lol
I'm 😊
How did you know!?
me
I nearly did but I got focused on geo nodes
bro same
Robby, I'm new to Blender, I've tried other tutorials, but your course is setting the standard for me. You're a great teacher!
Feel like I’m taking a highschool class. 10/10 best tutorial I’ve found so excited to keep learning😊
my high school classes sucked, but this guy is realistic and can teach. Thank you I learn so much every day in blender!
Finished the old one a couple of weeks ago and the new one is already available ! You guys rule ! Thank you so much :)
Most of the time when I try to follow a tutorial, it's too fast, or too confusing. You were one of the first blender tutorial channels where I could actually understand what I was doing and how to do it. Thanks for the video :D
I really appreciate that you have your resolution scale set so that your video is easy for me to see and read. The way you use the red lines to highlight the important details as well as the onscreen keyboard (when appropriate). These key details make your videos the easiest to watch and follow. Thank you very much!
You're an excellent teacher. I've watched quite a few tutorials on various specific skills, and while they almost always walk you through the process, they rarely give an explanation of WHY you do particular things. If something goes wrong and a glitch gets introduced into my project, I don't know how to fix it because I don't know why I was doing what I was doing. Your emphasis on clear explanation and developing specific muscle memory skills helped SO MUCH. I hope this tutorial series blows up because the work and skill and patience you put into it is unmatched. Thank you for this.
I've just started this and I love the pacing. Enough to help you hit the ground running but not so much that you feel overwhelmed and wondering what you would even do with everything you've learned. Some tutorials throw too much at you and are very long and/or in depth. There is so much to 3D modeling that I think tutorials like this are better to let you learn just enough to decide which path you want to get started with.
I already have a decent amount of experience with blender, but I've never really found an in depth tutorial as good as this one! Thank you so much for making this clear and helping me review the basics!
Just came here after finishing the Donut tutorial. Donut was great, I got to make something pretty, but I don't feel like I retained a lot of the concepts. I went away and tried to apply what I learned there to make a cupcake, and did OK, but not as good as when I followed the video step by step.
I feel like you really helped in reinforcing and retaining the basic concepts and core skills. I like how you tell us to not just follow you, but to listen, then repeat. I'd recommend people come here first before going to Donut. Looking forward to the next part.
100%
I agree, I think the donut tutorial is for experienced 3d artists new to Blender, this is a great tutorial for new 3d artist
I figured it out, its duplicates not sure how I got random duplicates
Also here after the donut tutorial! Kudos to everyone learning Blender.
SAME! i agree 100% this was so helpful
this is SO much better than any other tutorials I've seen. You really focus in on the basics and i feel like i'm actually retaining the information. definitely going to finish this series and join your premium stuff
THIS IS THE BEST TUTORIAL EVER, SO HANDS ON AND DETAILED.
I've been trying to learn Blender on and off for a couple of years with little to no progress. I struggle to learn and retain information. This is the most progress I've even done and it actually brought tears to my eyes.
This is hands down the best tutorial I've ever seen. Not saying all the others are rubbish but this one was so straight forward, I was smiling all through it.
Thank you so much.
Its so refreshing to find this tutorial after looking at some of the other "beginner tutorials" out there that while interesting and somewhat followable are not really beginner friendly. This far and away the most beginner friendly and well explained tutorial I have seen.
I've been scouring intro tutorials and this is by far the best. 15 minutes in and I feel I have a great grasp of the basics. Thank you kind sir and well done!
My favorite beginner series, I've recommended this many times since first learning blender 3 years ago!
So nice to see your tutorials again. I finished your first one and the old donuts tutorial years ago. Now when I decided to back to blender, both of you released tutorials of new version of blender.
Im glad I followed this tutorial. I saw the comments and gave it a try. I can't speak on other tutorials but this one is complete beginner as he explains very well each component of blender as your building in the project. I've recommended this to already to my friends and they want to give it a go, seeing my results from this one and part 2+3. Well worth it.
This is an AMAZING tutorial. I had so much fun making this project. All of the other videos I've watched were so boring and confusing, but this one is a masterpiece. Thank you ,CG Fast Track, for this tutorial!
Fantastic tutorial. Thanks a lot for your work!
I just finished this tutorial series. I've been working on it over the past three days, and I'm amazed at how engaging and easy to follow it was! I could follow along in real time without having to do a lot of pausing and backtracking. I've looked into the full course, and I'm definitely getting it! I am a graphic designer and product photographer, and I've been using Blender to build product models for my clients. I enjoy it and want to bring my skills to the next level. Based on what I experienced with this tutorial and what I saw in the trailers in the course, I believe I will jump to several levels ahead. I'm really excited to learn more, and I want to thank CG Fast Track for making this one available for free!
This is the guy! Like seriously, many of the youtube tutorials I've followed are nothing compared to this. I like it when someone teaches me and not himself- I mean the speed. I'm learning this stuff really first and I've downloaded all the series on my PC for reference during my practice.
As somone that learned in their study only to use the "old ways", working with Maya, making the shift with your videos to Blender was a blessing ❤
Just want to say this is a fantastic primer. I'm a graphic and motion designer, graduating this fall, who just realized the limitless possibilities that Blender could offer me in my field. This was a great introduction to the software. Thank you!
I have been going crazy I still couldn’t do anything in blender. I’m gonna start from here. This looks fantastic just what I was looking for THANK YOU
can't wait for the rest of the tutorial...you are doing a great job for not only beginners but also intermediate....really appreciate your hard work...we need more like these..
Part 2 will be awesome! I'm learning blender so i can design and 3d print knives for templates before i go to the forge. So getting "hands on" with a sword model is just perfect
Idc what other tutorials did, but this one is the best for me! Before finding this I went to the blender tutorial sites different youtube channels even chat gpt! none worked and ut was so frustrating. I was so close on giving up glad i found this channel now atleast i can say m learning it! Thank you so much for explaning this so clearly!
straight to the point best blender tutorial on youtube
Thank you so much for this tuturial! I restarted Blender journey few days ago and I was lucky to find your tutorial! I think the most important skill for a beginner is to feel comfortable moving around in 3d space on 2d monitor. Following your newbie extercise finally I got confidence.
This video is excellent. Pacing is great, results fast and frequent yet with the right level of challenge for a new starter. Well done and thank you.
Hell yeah! Didnt realize you updated this series. Best starter tutorial series out there
I felt so stressed and overwhelmed this morning, this was so easy to follow and I feel like I got a leg up on things following this, thanks so much!
Great tutorial!
I never leave comments but your teaching is perfect, I’ve retained so much information from just one video that would have took me hours to get, literally almost shed a tear man. Love you and keep up the outstanding work.
We need more vids
hello im very new to pc in general let alone blender ive done some photoshop classes in highschool so im versed in that (ctl c and ctl v get used so much) your video has so far been very helpful and you dont make me feel stupid or like you're condescending which i greatly appriciate
Great Tutorial!
Why is this so underrated? It REALLY helped me. Thanks so much
I needed this ten years ago. Thanks for an AWESOME video. 👏👏👏👏👏
I am so happy I found this, i got stuck on the donut even though its a beginner project and it made me basically give up after few hours of trying to figure out whats wrong, but I really love the idea of 3d modelling, so seeing a guide that starts even simpler gave me hope and i wanna try again, fingers crossed and thanks!
That's so cool! I actually followed it completely and finished it and it works! Beautiful
Incredibly satisfying, couldn't have started any better. Done for the day can't wait to start part 2 tomorrow
Oh man the muscle memory part! Yeah I'm loving this!
Tysm! This tutorial helped me so much with blender, going to rebuild the project and watch part 2 after school!
HEY!!! THERE BACK AT IT AGAIN!! My favorite blender tutoral series. Was even better than the classic donut cuz it kept me motivated
I have watched 60 seconds and I now am hooked!! love it
DUDE THANK YOU SO MUCH a lot of these videos make me feel overwhelmed and stupid but being able to go at it my own pace and proactive moving and other things makes this feel a bit more real. even had fun. ill come back to finish as i have work in the morning but im excited to see more of these. THANKS!
This channel started my blender journey, thanks to this channel i'm now able to use blender at a decent level.
I love how thorough and clear you speak. Subscribed.
Decided to start blender and your tutorial is very very very helpful and very informative along with being extremely beginner, friendly!
One of the best blender tutorials. couple i've watched were very boring. this video actually help me so much. thank you so much!
Awesome, thorough, and well explained! Thank you!!
please continue this series, its great!
Just a heads up, if anyone gets a feeling all their blocks are being draw in by an invisible force it's because the objects origin is off. If you click on your object, it's highlighted orange but an orange dot is closer to the world origin then that's the cause. You'll need to select all the objects that are affected by this, right click, "Set Origin" & select "Origin to Geometry". If you do it & all your blocks move to the orange dot just ctrl+z & redo it just make sure to not select "Geometry to Origin".
Thank you this fixed my issue
This is a really good tutorial to have right after you finish your donut tutorial. It basically goes over the same stuff, but it's like there's a different workflow to it. Where he focused more on the shortcuts and getting through your first project, you go over the menu and some other things that he didn't really touch on. Because you use a different way of doing things, I can remember things better, and it solidified what I already learned. Which is exactly what I wanted from a tutorial.
I found this when I was about 5 videos deep into the donut tutorial and bookmarked it to watch afterwards. You're right it's an excellent one to pick up right afterwards! This video revisits some of the things that seemed a little more advanced and breaks it all down very well.
@@iamacheezit It's funny, this is exactly where I am now, 5 videos into the donut tutorial 🤣 saving this one to start on next
I’m here after donut tutorial
Finished the donut and I shall test this theory. If someone sees this in the future, ask me if it did work out or not. :)
i come from the future. i have to ask you if it worked out or not? @@anytng2077
Thanks.
I'm moving from C4D to Blender - finally - this was a great help.

There are some good tutorials out there, but the way you show everything in a Blender for Dummies approach is epic! Very motivated to do more modeling, so thanks!
I love the way his taking time to break down the process in pieces like it easy to do. I could follow along. 100%
Hey there ! Brand new Blender studiant here, so I start with the 4.1 version of the software. That's how I found your channel, and WOW !!!!!! Just what I needed to up my motivation up even more ! I can't wait to watch the second part, since I followed along this tutorial.
Of course I subscribed to the channel ;-)

Thanks boss! rlly quick and easy to follow
Great video!
bro this LITERALLY IS THE BEST TUTORIAL. LIke the other people would just build the shit, and would say now bulid. You really went into the depth of everything like explaining beginner stuff. Thanks man!
Thank you soo much i didn't knew how to use blender but after watching your video it was super easy literally best tutorial
awesome man
idk what it is about you but this has gotta be the first tutorial for blender i found that made blender actually fun instead of kinda annoying, ok tbh i did screw up a little, but idk if its your voice or the way you teach with he red pen but i love it, idk if it means anything but you gained me as a sub :D
Simple, straight to the point! Good teaching!
Wow, I was just about to take the 3.6 tutorial you guys put out, but you guys just released the 4.0 version. Thanks guys.
The three button mouse emulator might be good for some people, but personally, I was lucky with my computer in the sense that my trackpad can do everything my mouse can without turning the three button mouse emulator on. The way I use the trackpad for navigation is by using to fingers to rotate, shift + two fingers to pan, and spreading my two fingers in and out to zoom in. Although I must say, while the zoom in feature on my trackpad is pretty good, it takes forever to zoom back out.
You are good at being clear and concise. Keep it up.
YESSSSSS!!!
This is EXACTLY what I needed!
🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
super cool!!!
BRO UR THE BEST BLENDER EXPLAINER IVE EVER SEEN!!!!! I LOVE UR VIDS!!!
This is amazing, thank you.
Thanks for the informative video! Really learned alot :D

Hey that tutorial was crazy good. Its easy to see the care you take on preventing people to get confused/lost, and it totally works. Ty ^^

Nice, thanks with start, have fun!

Thank you for this, I am finding this tutorial to be very clear and done at a good pace for me to learn and actually take it all in! I can't wait to get started on the Sword!
this is actually such a great tutorial. It's like, we moved so fast, but not too fast. You gave us time to build muscle memory as well- a lot of tutorials just infodump but I actually felt like I learnt something here, tysm!
I'm having problems with ambient occlusion it's not the same 😢
