- This video is the follow up video off the slug power kit tune i did earlier .
In this video i am showing the accuracy on paper of the tune i did for the JSB MKI knock out slugs out off the FX Impact MKII with 600 mm barrel .

When you change the power settings ,you seem to get a flyer just after ,maybe you should shoot a pellet off safely ,then start your group , ?
Indeed wel noticed, it can happen that there is a high or lower FPS shot after changing the setting . To counter that I shot a second target and see at what setting I got similar results

Great video!! But don't forget about running threw the half on the hammer wheel,,. A B C D E. The real the valve in a half urn and do it again,, it would really help everyone to see how tuning really works,,. Then maybe up five in the reg and down five in the reg. Complete the education🙂. Tweaking the air and speed around the best group velocity and knode wave

@@Airbuks maybe just buy a decent air rifle, choose the best pellet and enjoy. All this pissfarting around is ridiculous, not to mention expensive.
Don’t forget slugs, slug liners, pellet liners, x barrels, stx barrels, the list goes on. FX must be laughing all the way to the bank.

Wicked brother! Nothing like an adjustable air rifle, there’s absolutely nothing like it on the planet. Satisfying, and instant gratification whole heartedly... I love it. This is the main thing besides accuracy and power that I love about my LCS Air Arms SK-19 .25 & .22 cal. In just a few moments I can dial the gun the exactly what I want, need, and desire in seconds. The future of airgun technology is “Adjustability” my friend. FX has this feature in spades as well. Thanks for this video and all you share with us and your hard work. God bless.
Nice shooting. Your groups are very similar to what I have achieved with my 600mm Impact MKII shooting .217 JSB knockouts. My setup is slug probe only from the power kit, Huma dual port, superior liner. Early days but around 907 seems to work best for mine. I have yet to revisit the .216 along with other slugs. The best part of it is that I can still shoot 18gr pellets on the lower settings with the same tune.
I will also test some other slugs when my jar is finished 😂 .
It’s always nice to have such a hybrid tune , but for these slugs I am using the heavy liner and the accuracy for pellets seems to better with the regular superior one 👍

Every time you change the power setting, it can take a couple shots to settle in...
I take a couple shots before I start declaring my groups... that’s just me.
Yes I am aware off that , but I guess if I repeat the process 2 times and there is one clear group that’s the best it will also be oké . But you have a point that in some groups it could eliminate that flyer 👍
Awesome video Awesome shooting man its hard to get good groups with any kind of slugs I've shot a bunch of different types and weights... my gun likes the 33.5 nsa at 905 to 930 fps so I just stick with that .... thanks for sharing your info stay safe
Thx 🙏🏻 , slugs tend to be difficult indeed . Pellets give better accuracy down to about 75m but slugs are holding group size better at longer ranges

@@Airbuks Try to repeat that with proper groups (10shot or more) and we are talking. 3-5shot groups are as useful as that shotgun pattern at 75m

It will surely be a good video, if I could try the fx and get help from them it would be a dream for me; but already I managed to afford the MAVERICK and I am more than satisfied with it; fx really makes good rifles

@@Airbuks I took a lot of video and made my sauce on one of my videos; and my setting is very good for me depending on the distances and weight of the lead, I just have to adjust the power of my hammer / first at 170bars and second at 120 bars

Good show Airbuks! Just love the in depth analysis 👍💪 Did you use the 216 or 217 knockouts? Have had both of them for some time but only got around testing the 216's as the 217's were released later from JSB! My bedst group was actually also nr. 4 at 960, but using Humas pellet probe and using Humas hammer spring instead of the stock PP hammer spring and just the superior standard liner! Another thing is also you shooting in the cold and also time between shots has quite some impact on both fps and POI. But again, that is on my gun and setup! Thanks once again 👍🙌💪

The MKI jsb knock-out slugs I am shooting are the .216 . I maybe forgot to mention it in this video , I mentioned it in the first one 🙈

Hi and thx for the support 👍 with the standaard superior liner you can shoot pellets and light weight slugs like the FX Hybrids but it’s trail and error testing to see which slug like the superior liner and which one the heavy liner 🤷♂️
New to pcp when I switch from slugs to heavy pellets do i have to tune it again?? Probably but i thought I'd ask
You can be lucky that you don’t have to do anything, but in most cases you will have to tune it again .
Before you retune it check at every power setting and maybe you can find a good speed like that aswel
Yet another great video. As a new to be Maverick owner I would like to see if you could develop a tune that would cope with the 25gr and 34gr JSB and also a mid weight slug such as JSB, NSA and Patriot. Keep up the good work.
Thx mate , I could try to figure out a tune like that 🤔 for the Maverick but I don’t think the javelin slugs exist in 25cal 😉 so I will leave those out

Can you experiment with different suppressors? My Tanto 5.5 mm makes similar groups. But when I do hugget improves and even with a suppressor of FX origin it makes groups better than Tanto. It looks like my inner holes are not perfectly aligned. Then he says if it was just me who was unlucky ;) It could be Karma.
With Donny fl silencer always use the next size up. So if your shooting .22 use a .25 Donny. Shooting .25 use a .30 donny
Indeed I also use one size bigger then the caliber I am shooting. In my testing I had better groups with the Donny moderators. I am planning to test different one in the future

Do you use superior(pellets) or superior heavy?
I have been using the superior(pellet)liner with standard mk2 pp .22 700mm and i cannot group jsb mk1 .216 any where at 2 inches at 40 yards
Superior liner use .218
This barrel is for slugs and pellets.

Enjoyable as always. New Lelya owner here with a question please. How do you find the accuracy between the Lelya and other guns? I think my Lelya is as accurate if not more so and has the edge over my FX Impact. Would really appreciate your thoughts.
The Edgun’s are really good guns , but it’s difficult to say which one is more accurate. If the tune isn’t in harmony then no gun will be accurate. These days modern airguns are far more accurate then the shooter itself 😉
@@Airbuks Thanks for the reply. Maybe you could do a video of your experience seeing as you own both manufactures guns, that would be great. I personally think my Lelya is more accurate out of the box than the FX Impact Compact I had and I am not a professional shooter just a part timer.

As off a comparison 🤔 that is something I will not do . It’s not a fair comparison between the two , both guns are far more accurate then we are as a shooter. They are to different and can be setup in so many ways that I am never 100% sure they both are setup the best way if you understand what I mean 😉

Are your Knock Out slugs .216 or .217 ? My accuracy is better with .218 FX slug at 950 FPS .

@@Airbuks I found improvements with each step larger in diameter in my Impact MKII .22 cal , the .218 works best in my liner and has a tighter group . I’m going to try NSA , Javelin and H&N next in .218 in different grains . A speed of 950 is ok with me , the testing continues . Note: NSA offers a new 17.5 grain in .2175 .

FYI , I installed the Huma dual hole transfer port , I also installed the slug pellet probe ! In doing so I found the C 1 was almost out and the reason I had been getting inconsistent FPS , the speed I got and consistency improved dramatically ! I ordered a Huma single shot tray , I now find many of the different pellets that did not do well grouping , Even the .216 and .217 s ! What this tells me is much improvement can be made with the rotary cartridge from FX , maybe why their FX slugs do better , they designed the slug to feed well with their cartridge . Two things will happen by sticking to the single shot tray , your groups will close in dramatically on most of your slugs and you won’t waste time spending and chasing a problem that is caused by the FX rotary cartridge.

Hello, what slugs give the best accuracy for the MK2 rifle?
There is not really on particular brand it’s a question of finding the right tune for it .
But if I have to pick one it’s the jsb knockout 👍🏻 they where the easiest to get shooting well and are inexpensive
Is there any difference in air consumption after the install of slug power kit? After I did mine, it has been taking about 5 bars of air after each shot. Is that normal? My reg is set at 100 bars only pushing nsa 33.5 at 935 fps.
Yes , with the same tune the slug power kit spend up the valve just a bit longer letting more air flow true the valve , also the pin probe reduces the airflow restriction. This will result in more air released that is in the plenum
It just seems off when I shoot I can hear air releasing and filling the reg which I never noticed before the upgrade and I get about only 20 shots out of a full tank on the gun and have to fill. Before I use to get about 3 mags worth before a fill on pellets. Is that normal for it to use that much air for the slug upgrade? Before the upgrade my reg was at 115ish shooting jsb king .25 at about 950 fps and getting 3 mags on a full tank. Now, slug power kit, dual transfer port, slug liner and sleeve at 100 on the reg shooting nsa 33.5 at 935 fps and only getting less than 1 mag on a full tank.
@@jasonlee2512 sound like your impact is out of tune , try lowering the hammerspring settings properly the velocity will go up .
By adding the spacers on the hammer you basically increase the hammer weight and are over powering the valve stroke closing to quick

That all depends on the liner I have had 2 the same liners one prefers the 216 and the other 217 🤷♂️ it’s a matter of testing

Hey what speed should I shoot the hybrid slug at in 30 cal?
Depends on the liner twist rate you have .
The last test is did was with a 1:28 twist and got 1/2 inch groups at 50M with 915FPS
The 1:22 twist ( superior) I still have to test it but I guess around 940-960 FPS
I just ordered the new FX Superior liner for fx hybrid slugs 700mm 30 cal Utah airguns says it's for hybrid slugs
I got 11 boxes of hybrid slugs coming also.
But I have the slug power kit in my impact with 700mm barrel. Also got a huma transfer port. With my reg at 130 bar right now I'm shooting 44.75 jsb @ 960 fps
The Twist rate is 1 26 I just looked it up. The one that come.with my gun is 1 37

No not really, I like all calibers for there own reason. The reason I made this video is because I somehow ended up with a jar of 22 slugs , if that’s empty I will convert it to something else 🤷♂️

@@Airbuks At which power setting and range did you shoot more than one group. None of them were exceptional, barely adequate, no tiny clusters. What did it prove?Nothing.
@@stevenpurcell4292 did you watch the hole video ? At the end I shoot 4 groups 5 shots each at 75 M with a average of 17mm CC . The first target is used to determine what setting on the powerwheel gave me the best groupings at 50m
