Kraken sent me. That is one awesome trailer you had. I like your new one as well. We have a enclosed cargo trailer. I will be watching your video on how trailer a bike. Thanks. 👍
I live in Michigan, not far from the Klinger "factory" and a few years ago purchased a new trailer from them. Adrian is spot on with his comments. It's an incredible trailer. And no, I have no connection with Klinger.
Heck yes. One of the Harley's on it, a black V-Rod is mine, and you don't feel the 600+ lbs much when the motor is doing the pushing, but as soon as she starts over heating and you gotta leave her on the side of the road and come back later and start pushing, you feel all that weight. Knowing I could easily just come pick it up later myself saved me from risking damaging the motor by trying to make it all the way home on my bike.
It's great, especially with having an old dog, she's 12, I don't know how much time she has left, so being able to bring her along for adventures, set up camp or unpack at a cottage, drop off the doggo, and still be able to go out riding around back roads for a few hours before dinner... it's great :)
I have a 5x8 utility trailer that I'm going to sell. I absolutely dislike it as the tailgait/ramp on the back acts like a sail going down the road. I'll be looking at your trailer series for a good solution. Another well done video. Eric
Thanks brother. The guys who make it are out of Paw Paw, Michigan. Klinger Trailers is the name. My 3x8 was great. I think Spotsy's a little more roomy than Toronto is, so you could probably go with the 4x8 model to give yourself a little more space. If I bought a new one today I would think about getting it rubber coated like people do with their truck beds, but that's because we use salt on the roads over here.
I have a Razor which operates the same way. It has hauled my motorcycles all over the country. Guy in Georgia makes them. Mine has a heavy duty manual wench.
Nice! Honestly the electric which was the weakest link in the whole thing and frequently had issues so a manual winch is probably a good idea especially if you'll be getting a lot of use out of it. Thanks for checking out my channel!
It was money well spent. After everything, really only cost me a couple hundred bucks. Kind of pays for itself if it saves you needing to have to have a motorcycle towed to the shop. When I had my V-Rod start overheating (thermostat failed) I didn't sweat leaving it on the side of the road instead of trying to force it to run hot and risking damaging my motor because I knew once I got home I could just get the trailer out and easily pick my baby up again. Loading and unloading is an easy one man job.
Hahaha. No complaints from me :) Whenever I had any questions I could pick up the phone and call up the Klingers and they were always willing to offer me helpful advice. That's all a guy can ask for!
@@YouMotorcycle I did.... they hung up on me.... Kidding!!! 😉. I would probably have get a beefier vehicle for that rig. My Spyder alone is over 1000 lbs dry. But you never know, this whole COVID thing has changed our travel picture markedly. Cheers Adrian keep up the videos they are informative.
That truck bed hauler is incredible. And btw, I've had my car trailer ran into about 4 times when its empty. Been thinking I need to add some flags or something so people notice it.
The company that made mine is no longer in business, but there is another company making a very similar setup. I interviewed someone from there, you can check it out here: youmotorcycle.com/an-interview-with-ameridecks-josh-oertly.html
Pricey but if you can find them used like I did, worth every penny. You don't really lose money on them either. I paid $1,100 ish, sold for $1,200 ish, and spent a couple hundred on a new jack, winch, battery, and strap. So maybe at the end of several years and many trips it only worked out to a couple hundred bucks.
I don't know. I bought mine used years and years ago, and sold this one even more used a couple years ago. Did you contact them? Have you heard back from them yet?
Thanks, and now things have changed again! No more A-Frame trailer. That was a very COVID-inspired purchase haha. I take a month off each year to go ride in Italy.
So many better people to learn this from then me! lol All of my first wheelies were done by accident just twisting the heck out of the throttle on an inline four lol
@@sdefiel3719 I don't know if you're going to find something wide enough to fit them side by side because the tri-glide's width is almost enough to occupy a trailer's width on it's own. You're probably going to have to get something long enough that you can fit both. Maybe one of the bikes you can tow perpendicular to the tri glide to save some space.
@@YouMotorcycle Thank you for your prompt reply. Yeah, I thought as much. Leave the Harley bike and take the wee KTM and somehow tie it down sideways. The wife needs her trike. S
A covered trailer wouldn't work well for what I do. I use the trailer for loading in underground condo parking lots. A covered trailer wouldn't fit. For everywhere else I can just use my truck

First of all, great name! 😂 Secondly, thank you! 🙏
I HAVE A WELKER 3 PLACE TRAILER MADE IN 1986. IT LOOKS AND OPERATES JUST LIKE YOURS. IT IS ONE OF THE BEST MOTORCYCLE TRAILERS I HAVE EVER OWNED.
Very cool. You should upload a clip of it I would love to see if!

I just bought one but I need to tow 2 bikes and the lay flat ones are typically for one bike
Klinger makes a two bike drop down trailer!
Looks ideal for the bigger, heavier bikes... I'll take a little bump up over a ramp any day ! Great to see you bro !

I definitely like that truck bed lift. Got your bike and the camper at one time. 🤘👍

Lmao. That'll probably be the funniest thing I read today. Thanks for starting my day off right *visor tap to you*
Interesting trailer for a single user. do they make one for hauling two bikes? will have to check this out. thanks for sharing
Yup. Klinger Trailers. They have options and can even custom make something
This looks Great. !!

Got it so it's not just drivers in my area that are completely oblivious 😂🤦🏻♂️
Where ca I buy a truck lift like yours I’m cal. I would like to know prices new or use thanks in advance

Dammit that’s a nice trailer! I already have one but it’s not like that. I just ride mine up the tailgate. Definitely a nice one ☝️

How much is this new? I don't see prices on their website
I don't know. I bought mine used years and years ago, and sold this one even more used a couple years ago. Did you contact them? Have you heard back from them yet?
It is a great video indeed but knowing you have a pop up camper, you can’t tow the two at the same time. (and now you can) Cheers

How big are they?

That guy was cluless, but alllll the girls loved him! 😂
I want real bad for my Harley,,, but I live in the Philippines Iloilo iloilo
Cool! I wonder if a welder over there could manufacture one for you.
