Hi everyone! Let me know what you think about D5 Version 2.3 here! :)
Its very nice !more tutorial please 👍👌
thanks
Hi ,I HAVE PROBELM IN SKETCHUP TO INCREASE GRID PATTERN SPACING IN SANDBOX EXTENTION . WHY DOES IT IS NOT CHANGING I MEAN EVERY TIME I DRAW FROM SCRATCH SPACING IS ALWAYS 3 METER EVEN I CAHNG? PLEASE ANY ONE HELP ME
Its Great, please add more videos and tutorials.
💜Thanks for the great video! Hope you enjoy the updates! ( btw rounded corners can also be helpful! :D
D5 is amazing. I’ve been using D5 for interiors and Lumion for exteriors and am very happy. Once D5 gives us some of the exterior features of Lumion (mainly better grass) I could go full D5. Doing large amounts of grass in D5 really slowed render time for me but I absolutely love the results from D5.
One of the best if not the best sketchup, cray and d5 instructor I am truly grateful you are in this platform.
You accompanied me through all of my years in interior design school, and still learning from your videos.
Keep going, thank you 🙇🏻♂️
this is neat thanks!👊😀
The integration of the 3ds Max file is the best part of it..which are missing in other rendering software I have tons of models in 3ds max. and I can import and export in a breeze... sync both sketchup and 3ds max.. Its weirdly good...
Fantastic!
My Goodness! Why have I not subscribed yet to this channel! Subscribing!
Have you tried the VR headset connection? I tried it last week, worked with Oculus for a day then it hasn't connected since, I know the VR widget is currently in Beta so it may be unstable. A video on that would be good.
Do you plan to release video about V-Ray 6 for sketchup. (there is beta to download)
Can we import skp models into this software and if yes performance wise is this one better than lumion?
Using the free version right now. Love it. It's amazing. Took me about 3 renders to get the hang of it. Compared to the other render programs I've used before, and they were good, this is stunning.
Hello.. Which is a best grapgic card for lumion and v ray
Thanks.
Does the cloud loop, if ever i render half minute video?
No mention of parallax materials???
We need more progs like this as competition is great for consumers (for us a user) so overpriced softwares like Lumion will know theyre not the only ones who knows how to create rendering softwares.
You didn’t mention parallax interiors? It’s a great feature!
What are they for? They're easy to miss when the new feature list is 53 items long :)
Single plane that acts as a full 3d interior with furniture for shop fronts etc. Very handy!
Grab one from bottom of models & have a look… awesome feature
@@TheRenderingEssentials Blender has an addon for that

As a lighting designer I have had a real problem getting any rendering program to accurately render IES files for linear or asymmetric lighting fixtures. Is anyone getting accurate results with any particular rendering program? I've suspected that the coders are "chopping" the candlepower curves to minimal data points so that the renders will run faster, but with asymmetric or linear fixtures the candlepower beams lose their detail and the lighting effects fall apart. IES symmetric round downlights always look better than the generic versions from the rendering program because the falloff is more realistic and accurate, but once the beam becomes asymmetric - like linear lighting, wall grazing, or wall washing - they're usually a hot mess.
It would be great to get peoples opinions on this. I’ve tried using IES files in V-ray, Lumion, Enscape and D5, and none of the softwares performed accurately to what the lights would perform like in real life, even after inputting the exact lighting spec like luminance, voltage, temperature and so on. I’ve found that I’ve had to place many ‘fake’ lights to make the image look partially accurate in terms of overall luminance and ambient light, and found that this was needed especially for a daytime render.
@@dianaallaham2801 did you try Unreal ?
@@dianaallaham2801 I use Lighting Analysts AGI32, which is still a benchmark program for lighting analysis, but it's lacking when it comes to rendering. It's really slow and not realistic, but I believe it does the best job at displaying correct IES file performance. It just takes a long time and the renders are not realistic. It's not in the discussion as a rendering program, but I use it to calibrate fixtures for use in Enscape because I don't know what in the he** I'm actually getting in Enscape from file to file. Trying to aim an asymmetric fixture is impossible and the results are very random. I haven't tried Unreal, but I suspect anything raytracing fast is doing the same shortcutting.
I just learned vray 5 and this pooped out like bruh.
the real time tracing is insane it feels like a loading screen in game.
the only disadvantage is for user that didn't have RTX to use the full potential of the software.
D5 is very impressive, especially when you consider that it's not a 'heavyweight' in the industry like Chaos Group or Twinmotion/Unreal Engine. Do you think you might be able to advise which of the render softwares has the largest vegetation asset library?
I think Lumion has the largest but I could be wrong, but D5 also have allot of vegetation the last time a say in the free version
@@glenn3646 I agree, Lumion has the most, but I can't afford that so I'm trying to see who is next 😊
No whatsup guys?!
If I leave it off every now and then it keeps you guys guessing ;p
1st to like ... 🙂😁🙂
Feels like they're straight up copying Lumion, nice haha, not very innovative though.
