This was a fantastic tutorial! Just such a beautiful painting and great teaching by Ginger. She makes all of the steps so clear and understandable. Besides these lessons are always fun!!!
This tutorial was certainly titled correctly. You sure did teach us how to capture that WOW factor. This was such an awesome lesson and the end result was so incredible. It just makes me want to run and paint. You taught this in a way that I feel that I can do it! Such a fun time watching you paint. It is obvious that you love what you do. Many thanks to you and Jon.
I just finished watching Double Q #10 & scrolled thru your tutorials & decided to rewatch this & kapow...does the brilliance just smack you right in your face. It's almost 10pm so I wont start this tonite...but you better believe that I will be thinking about it all nite long til I can get to it tomorrow...so glad to have you as a teacher! This painting has gone on & on w little touches here & there...ea making it more fabulous...IT IS WAYYYYY BETTER THAN ORIGINAL! I can't believe the colors!!! I would love to try this on a 11x14...16x20...I want this on my wall!!!
The painting is genius, when I looked at the original dead guy painting online I was stunned. How did you take that dull old thing and turn it into this masterpiece... AND teach us all how to do it in the simplest clearest way possible.... AND make it so much fu! Wow factor, indeed!!!!!!!!!
I loved watching this for technique purposes; I am not fond of this painting though. That being said, all of Ginger's tutorials are worth watching just to learn (& hammer into my brain!) specific acrylic techniques so that they become a habit. Thanks again Ginger & Jon for a great learning experience!
This is STUNNUNG Ginger. It's a rainy blah day here in NJ. I'm doing this one today. Thank you. Thanks for always making me laugh. You guys are "something else." Have a great day!
This is absolutely stunning! added to my list of must do! thank you Ginger and Jon for another valuable video! We are so blessed to have you share such content with us! Love the academy! wish you could all join!
Just loved this! Wasn’t sure I would like it at first but watching you layer was magical. Love how it all popped and gained perspective. Thank you for the inspiration!
Beautiful rendition of this painting. I always learn so much from watching Ginger paint and she sure didn’t let us down tonight. she also taught us some key color theory and new brushstrokes. Thanks so much Ginger and Jon for another valuable lesson.
Just love Monday’s well Tuesday here in Tasmania (Australia) not only do I love watching you paint Ginger but absolutely love listening to you and John !
do you not love that you live so far away yet we can still have a painting tutorial that is watchable where you live. I love the tech we have today. art hugs from Houston.
I love how easily Ginger sets color down next to other colors and it works so beautifully! I want to learn how to do just that and have it turn out beautiful, too! The vase is a perfect example of what I am talking about. Her's is just plain beautiful!
Great tutorial as usual Ginger and Jon. The method you have used for the background is a great way to paint reflections on water. If you look at the painting sideways you'll see what I mean.
I was mesmerized while watching all the little brush strokes! I love all the colors ! Thank you Ginger and Jon for giving us another awesome show and I loved the surprise ending! Hee hee 👩🎨🤗💗
Ginger Cook Thank you so much Ginger! It made me so happy to be able to complete that one ! The selfie challenge is amazing. Fantastic painting Ginger!! So love the vibrant colors in your painting!! I think your painting is so much better than the ODG's! Thanks for sharing Ginger and Jon!! Artsy hugs!!
I love this tutorial. Beautiful colors and strokes. Don’t like the Yoda ears and wish the other one was different also. I’ll paint mine without them and see what happens. Love the ODGs. I’m so glad you paint their works.
WOW, Thank you GINGER - absolutely LOVE your colors so much better, as well as the style you painted this in. Can't wait to try it, my list is growing so long LOL. - Barb
Love the new technique. I agree with the Joda ears, you definitely made it into a awesome painting, made me open my mind to play with colours. Greetings from Anna Ankiewicz Cape Town South Africa
Don't know if I commented before. This is sooo stunning, and I'm thinking a 36x36 on the new chrysanthemums painting (same background) with a matching 15x30 of this hanging next to it. Hopefully I can make it work on that narrow size? Hmmm......
Thanks so much Kathy, art hugs from Jon and I. You can probably make that work really well if paint them at the same time and do the back grounds with the same colors,
