For deck ratings, think first before deciding to work on a bunker ship. Especially in the operating area in Singapore... there are several companies that have issued regulations where on every ship operation, every crew member on duty is prohibited from entering the accommodation. The crew on duty must stand by on deck while the ship is carrying out oil loading and unloading activities, in whatever conditions, be it hot, rainy or stormy, the crew must remain on duty on deck. One of the reasons why this rule is implemented is none other than to ensure operations run smoothly. So I suggest you think about it first before deciding to work on a bunker ship...
