Whats the point of using a quadcopter for this kind of low altitude shoot? Might as well shoot from inside your car with a hand held camera. Makes no sense at all. Kind of stupid.

I used to walk around Skid Row at night and the people you see sleeping on the sidewalks, rats are ALL around them. If you want non taxed cigarettes, weed, drugs, or to sell your foodstamps, it's all done in Skid Row on the same block as the police station. It's a real shit hole!!
I can buy foodstamps inside my local grocery store (Yes I get approached all the time while I am shopping) right here in the capital city, Suckramento.. Why would I venture to whats basically a 3rd world s hole inside my own state to pay the same 35-50 cents on the dollar?? You Silly goose. PS, My taxes shouldnt go to these people so I have no problem buying my own tax money back, least I turn around and spend them back ON FOOD.

Let me tell you something: the only thing that separates you or me or anyone else from living on skid row is pure luck. It has nothing to do with "personal responsibility" or "morality." You are one car crash, head injury, terrible illness, or natural disaster away from joining their ranks. Don't believe me? Go down there and listen to their stories. The San Lazaro mission is a great place to volunteer on weekends. It is a humbling experience.

Living in LA i always thought the homeless wanted to get out of their situation. One day i was on skidrow (Long story) and asked a homeless guy why there were so many. He told me, they all end up like this because they have a problem with authority. Basically they don't want people telling them they can't do drugs. The rest of them are not mentally stable and need mental care and treatment. Currently (2018) The mayor of LA wants to spend 3 million dollars for trailers to house 60 homeless. I did the math (54,000 homeless in LA city) and basically to house every homeless person would cost taxpayers 2.7 billion...so that they can do drugs in a trailers instead. I am not anti homeless, i want them to get help, but the right kind. Just so you know I've been homeless. It sucks.

Those people were all waiting for the bus to take them to work. All can afford fancy cars, but being from California, they are concerned about the environment, so they use public transportation to improve air quality. Also, they were running towards the drone so they could return it promptly to it's rightful owner. They are all honest and law abiding citizens in that area. Cut them some slack!

It’s a controlled area. Undercover cops carry cameras that can ID felony warrant jumpers. They allow the activities to go on, but they sweep out the trash every few months to the Twin Towers and Men’s jail. These creeps are living on borrowed time. LAPD Central division a block away is like a bunker with huge garages of Swat trucks, black fire engines for high tech and landing pad on the roof for choppers with night vision. I’ve seen cops ride horseback two by two with Western type cowboy hats and side arms in broad daylight just to remind everyone who’s Boss.

Skid Row is a containment zone. Better that the homeless concentrate there than spread out evenly throughout all of downtown.
Trivia; The term Skid Road originated in Vancouver on Dunlevy Ave. between False Creek and Burrard Inlet when Dunlevy was an actual skid road used for hauling logs to Hasting's Mill. Men would hang out on 'Skid Row' waiting for work at the mill after tying one on. The area is now home to the infamous East Hastings street.
