      He was very kind and gentle with inner naturality, some how so warm as a lovely child. And at the same time serious

      Yes! I love this interview though I understand very little German. Maestro Arrau's beatific personality shines through here. Thank you for this gift!

    IS there a translation of this into English anywhere I could read it? Isn't music magic? It doesn't matter what language a person speaks when he/she plays music! Everyone understands the music! AND (I agree) his smile!

      Select the settings button and there you click the subtitles menu and there you can get an english translation, it is not very accurate but one can get the main idea of what they are talking about.

    Never knew he spoke German. Did he speak English? Such a titan at the piano.

      Arrau went to Germany when he was eight years old, together with his mother and sister, as he had a support of the chilean governement. In Berlin he was pupil of Martin Krause, a pupil of Franz Liszt. He stayed in Germany and lived in Berlin until 1941 as he went to the Uinetd States, where he stayed until his wifre died, in New York. After her passing away he went back to Germany and had just bought an apartement in Munich as he died in 1991.

      Para ser intérprete de. Música hay que aprender alemán francés,ruso.ingles.pues todos los grandes músicos de la historia europea se aprenden sus partituras.apuntes.libros.No se puede tocar sin conocer al intérprete.Ademas el vivía en Suiza

    como hacía Arrau para tocar sin partituras ???!!!! un absoluto genio!!!!

    • @lospazio
      @lospazio Год назад +1

      Arrau era un genio, pero no por eso. Todos los pianistas tocan sin partitura y no es nada importante. Es muy sencillo aprender las obras de memoria. Las dificultades están en otra parte.
