It's only "competition" if people who always buy Lego start to buy the other brands instead of Lego, causing the other company to make profit and Causing Lego to lose profit. And although I don't know it for fact, I imagine that most people who r into Lego, r Lego purists (other than custom figs printed on real lego) or at least die hard collectors that rarely stray from The Lego name brand.
Pantasy was my first dip into non-LEGO sets and I am impressed with the quality. I support you branching out with this company. BTW Chopin = “show pan.” 😊
You know whenever you make pantasy videos I don’t really care but now after seeing these sets I’m gonna rewatch all your pantasy videos I’m definitely picking one up
That gramophone set is awesome! I love that you're reviewing other brands. Lego isn't the end all, be all in brick built sets. Incredible how these companies can produce these sets with no stickers and shiny gold pieces at a very good price and yet Lego still makes us apply cheesy stickers and would charge an exorbitant price for the gold pieces. Makes you wonder.
Because the Lego brand adds value people pay more than they should just because it says Lego therefore companies like Pantasy have to sell sets for significantly below the Lego equivalent in order for people to buy them.
Last I checked these were also sponsored videos😂 Edit: he literally says this is a sponsored video. Ya some of the LAN members are being too generous with their opinions I agree
@@FabuBrik Also, ask that same question about LAN tubers. Would they buy half the sets that they get for free with their own money? Of course not 😂 They're just in it for clout and free stuff.
I know these don’t get as much love as official LEGO but they’re really doin great things. All the printed elements show LEGO has no excuse to use stickers.
@@codeless6648 I bought a few of the Mega Pokémon sets and as much as I do not like LEGOs decision making the Mega bricks are not the same quality. Their color variation are more noticeable than LEGO bricks.
These sets literally make Lego look like …..they don’t know what they’re doing now. These are pretty amazing with the extreme details and printed parts! Lego really really needs to step it up or take some notes from these or something.
I never heard about Pantasy, yet they PRINT everything LEGO would just use STICKERS for... really makes you think about all that "only the best is good enough"...
its not 100% but probably 95% so its really good quality there are no issues with clutch etc on pantasy and the parts also feel good Id say its compareable to Lego also some companies like Cobi already surpased Legos brick quality^^
I like that you can appreciate and enjoy sets outside your typical wheelhouse...I'm looking at you gramaphone. Well done With age typically comes a greater appreciation of a wider variety of worldly things.
Not really interested in non-Lego “Lego” sets. But I hope companies like these are successful so they can provide some competition to Lego. Other companies pushing Lego can only benefit us Lego fans.
I’m very loyal to Lego so I don’t know how I feel about making videos about competitors, but these sets do look really cool, especially the Kung Fu panda set. I also like the food truck a lot, and I think it’s great that all the details are printed, no stickers.
Why care if its lego or not? Lego isnt focused on customer satisfaction anymore, they are progressively ripping us off more and more by releasing sub-par sets that are way too overpriced just so they can make their shareholders unneeded amounts of money while we suffer the financial burden. These knock off brands provide way better detail for 1/4-1/2 the price.
The whole time you were talking about the gramophone I had Michael Scott and Jim Halpert in my head when Jim shows up wearing a tuxedo and Michael learns what is “truly fancy.”
I thought I’d never be interested in non-Lego companies. But you are really doing them justice. I will definitely be getting some of their sets at some point.
I know you have other people build these sets for you (understandably so), but it would be super helpful if you brought in some of their insight from the build experience. Some of the main things I’m curious about on these off brand sets are build techniques (good and bad), piece quality, and durability. You cover durability a bit but I feel like I need a bit more info on the other things before I pull the trigger on one of these
Possible ask Mandr question: do you think it is worth buying 2007 sets (ideally the smaller ones which are cheap) in the hcance of getting the C3PO chrome gold?
Week two of Ask MandR: hey there! Love the videos! In April I went to a Lego convention. It seemed very official because it had good reviews by lots of people. However, when I was there, it was in a very small area. There moc’s were made out of fake figures. Also, all the prices were very overpriced, they had a rancor for $250. They also had the UCS Republic Gunship, which at the time wasn’t retired, for $450! I was wondering if this is like all conventions or just the one. Anyway, keep up the good work Edit: whoops, I will go put this on the ask MandR
Paladin is a 90s RPG that was very popular in China/Taiwan. I guess you can think of it as a local Final Fantasy equivalents. It has a spinoff drama and several sequel. But yea, its mostly not known outside of Asia.
Ok, Lego would set an already crazy Minifigure scene on fire if they started to introduce special rotating torsos! Course, the price would be crazy too...
it may surprise you but the quality is way better than lego. its insane how good the quality is if you compare the prices lego demands and the prices that other brands like pantasy, bluebrixx or cada want. i recommend you to try some other brands.
Thanx Ryan I was wanting to get the gramophone ever since the previewed it on instagram, so I just used your code and it’s now preordered and it was even free shipping to Canada. I hope you get a bit from me using your code and hope Pantasy continues to send you sets to review. Take care
People forget Lego basically stole the idea and made it their own. Lego is going to lose sales in years with their crazy prices. Dumb strategy for them . Lego is only doing good because of Star Wars once that’s gone it’s over.
My kid picks the fake Lego at the dollar tree(faygos) over us going to Target sometimes to get him a real Lego lol. Idk why but it’s funny and saves me a couple bucks.
I don't like how it was sponsored and he didn't have a single bad thing to say except the qr codes could be executed better. I don't think he built any of these sets so he had nothing to say about how the bricks felt or the build process overall. I do like seeing him review other brands but I feel like we can't really trust this review. He is so much more harsh with LEGO reviews and he always tells us exactly what is good and bad about a set, and I really didn't see that here. He almost seems like he's trying to hold back anything negative in fear of losing the sponsorship. I can't be the only one felling this way, right?
Im usually pretty skeptical too but ive built a few Pantasy sets myself including the kung fu panda one and i can vouch for pretty much everything he says in this video, theyre quality products
Well said. He probably did pay someone else to build these which just feels disingenuous to me. The most important consideration is not even details or design but quality of bricks and build experience. Hard to say how well these hold up over time too. Obviously he’s free to do whatever the F he wants to on his channel but this feels like a cash grab and really like his recent hate for LEGO as a company has blinded him.
Yo Mandr I went to the Seminole town center mall and found Florida man’s toys. They said that u went there, that’s so cool, just shows how famous u are lol
Personally think that some of the designs are a little lazy on these sets. Kung fu panda should have had a brick built head and stomach, and the base should have been brick built as well. The gramophone I kind of get making the horn part of it with one off pieces because it would not be easy to build something stable enough to not fall apart and it just looks better than any other way they could have done it. The record should have been something that was built though and I think it still could have looked really good. The whole point is to build so this just seems lazy on the part of the designers, and they even just use printed backgrounds which has to be the biggest cop out of all to the building community. There are definitely some cools designs here but I feel like this company still has some work to be done before they can compete anywhere near LEGO's (proper use) level.

Lego would relese the foodtruck for 200$ instead of 80 and with stickers 💀
So true 😔
They would have made it brick red aswell
These third party brands are really improving. Hoping LEGO improves their product now they have more competition
Ong
Or reduces their prices significantly.
Yeah seeing all these items and shelving detail is really nice. It adds so much more reality. Lego gotta step it up or do some roll backs lol

I’m surprised how good these companies are, thanks for reviewing this can’t wait to get to it!
Having a gym on top of a bakery is hilarious to me.. imagine walking in the bakery and you will be greeted with the smell of sweat and sweets. 😅

There's megaconstrux pokemon which has a lot of them and even mega evo or Kelley who has a lot of anime in brick style
