I love all of these books. They kept me sane while I was working metal in a warehouse. I’m here for all the Eragon Reviews
I listened to Paolini's interview about this book, and he actually was planning on having Eragon kill Sloan! But when he got to the scene he just realized it wasn't something Eragon would do as a character. He did say if Saphira had been there she would have eaten Sloan lol.
Im watching all four of these and the situation with sloan i actually wanted to comment on. I think death was too kind. Sloans actions resulted in death, and not just one death either. He did everything he did over katrina, and punishing him by removing her entirely is torturous. Its meant to hurt him. And he gives him an opportunity to fix his eyes and his personality, become a better person
Along with that, the sword making scene is done how it is due to the magic system. You cannot lie in the ancient language, and she took an oath to never forge a weapon again is said language. She cannot break that oath, so using eragon was a loophole
Excellent review I enjoyed it very much! I will say it felt like you were dogging on the whole book and then 50 mins in "I like more things than I disliked". Maybe say that towards the beginning!
Sloans curse uses sloans energy as the rings use the wearers its said in the book. You can make a spell drain the energy from rhe person it affects.
Your wrong on slashing. 100 was the common punishment by 1845. Rhoan pnly got 50 half of what was common. You 17:57 don't get how monarchy works. You forgot Roan agreed to die. 27:54 thise dwarfs also hate dragon's. 41:32 are you fantasy virgins.The magic system is took strieght out of the EarthSea novels and the force. 43:53 You forget that Eragon will feel them die if he did that. He is not a socialpath. 44:51 That man was bound by magic. Eragon had no choice he could not let him live. 47:11 Bron made her swear and oath in the anchient lanuage. Bron did not want him to be distracted, or to give that info to gabatorix as Bron was the one who Eragons mother cheated with. 48:56 The heart vault in book 4. Bron is a closed person. 52:57 That is like teaching a kid how to summon monsters and not summon a sexy succubus demon that will try to kill you.
