Thanks for the vid man, gonna cop a pair of the Hikari's for my gf's 2014 civic! Just some clarification for you guys Civic Sedan: HB4/9006 Civic Coupe: H11
@@eddiemcars No problem man! I know the body styling for Civic's change depending on if it's a sedan or coupe but I didn't know their headlight bulbs changed either!
FYI. There is an adjustment screw on that Civic that you can raise or lower your headlamp beam no matter what type of bulb you're using. I hope you find this helpful to adjust your beam to spec or exactly where you want it.
Thank you for the review. As someone who has tried multiple led bulbs from cheap to mid range, i wasted a ton of money when I should have really just spent 650 on a pair of retrofits. If you are really low on budget, this is a good option but leds are very blinding to oncoming drivers, especially on 2 lane roads. I advise everyone to try to save up and get projectors instead.
I agree. You cannot beat the beam and focus of projectors! I love the retrofitsource! When I had my Acura TL, I swapped out the stock fresnel projector lens with a clear lens from Infiniti FX replica. That helped achieve razor sharp cutoff, the best was when I added spacers to get the color band/ rainbow 🌈 at the top of the cutoff with Osrams CBI. I hate that you can’t do that with modern cars with LEDs.
Did you experience any hyperflashing after replacing the bulbs?? Im planning on installing some leds into my gf's civic and was worried it would hyperflash after installing the bulbs
Bought from the link you posted and didnt get the same product. It is slightly different and doesn't fit my 2014 honda civic. Hmm. Maybe they updated the bulb? Im not sure
I understand. A friend told me about the SL1 and assumed because of the price they had to be good. I’m sure they are but they don’t work well in the Civic application.
been doing research in comparison to the SL1s and im glad i found this video. thanks for the upload. are you still using them or have you moved onto something else?
They seem to penetrate through the road decently well the color temp being closer to 5500k can get lost on dark asphalt. I use my LED fog lights as well to help light up the road. If you’re interested I can see if I can get a good rain video.
I don’t know if I’m doing something wrong. I have a 2014 Honda Civic si coupe. When I install the Hikari led bulb they won’t turn on /: can you please help
Tyrel Craig, yes, they are. Excellent output, I have about an hour drive each way four days a week, and since I leave early morning and late evening, they’re on 90% of the time.
@@eddiemcars Nice! I just bought these and I'm looking to put them in this weekend. Did you change your DRL/high beams to LEDs too? I'm looking to do this but the only thing holding me back is complains about DRL dash lights or they're just not working right, without buying additional hardware.

Thanks for for that! I didn’t know the sedan and coupe have different bulbs.

@@Lamferd I pinned your comment for everyone to see. I’ll need to edit the links in my description too! Thanks for your help!

hey Lam!

what bulb size is the low beam?

Sir where can I find that adjustment screw? Mine is facing down too low and 1 side is brighter than the other one. Thank you.
mine are facing down and to the left 😂 just got it couple months ago haven't done much night driving so just noticed it lol

You know you can actually adjust the angle on your housing.
The housing of the bulb? Yes!
Great info and review.
You can rotate the collar on the SL1 as well. 🤔
Did you experience any hyperflashing after replacing the bulbs?? Im planning on installing some leds into my gf's civic and was worried it would hyperflash after installing the bulbs
Phillip Luzame no hyper flash. I’m thinking if I used it for the high beams it would flicker due to the DRL running high beam at low intensity.
What orientation did you clock then at? Currently I have mine at 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock
I can’t recall. It’s was while ago and I don’t have the car anymore.
Hey man, now that's been a few years, how long did these LEDs last?
When I sold the car, I didn’t have any problems with the lights.
Hi, I have the XHP50.2 LED ones and I cant get a good beam pattern. Should I have gotten a different model?
Can you rotate the base to fine tune your beam pattern?
Bought from the link you posted and didnt get the same product. It is slightly different and doesn't fit my 2014 honda civic. Hmm. Maybe they updated the bulb? Im not sure
Does the box say H11? I know mine took a little manipulation to get the notches to line up.
The box did not say H11. I know my headlights are 9005 but i couldnt just get it to fit at all. I just returned the item
Noustylz I just checked, my box says R3-9006. Link should reflect the correct bulb. amzn.to/2BgqrOA
Thank you!!!
Wish I saw this review before I bought myself a pair of SL1s.

I’m still using them! So far so good!
How do they perform when it’s raining? Does the light scatter or “disappear?”

Would you recommend the hikari provided in the link or the newer model hikari? I have 2015 honda civic lx.
Jared DaRocha I don’t have any experience with the newer model but I’m still pleased with the output and beam of the ones in the link.
Did you need a ballast with the Hikari led lights?
No ballast needed

Did you try and flip the connector?
Are these LED's still holding up?

@@eddiemcars Nice! Thanks for the quick response!
Any error lights/codes after installing these?
bymitten nope, not at all!

No I kept the halogen DRL/high beams for now. I think they would flicker if I tried it.
Horrible beam output.
