To get the most out of your stand up paddle board, it's important that you can competently and confidently move around on it. In this episode of Stand Up Paddling TV, Jimmy Blakeney looks at how to do just that.

Great clear informative video! I am new to paddle boarding and was wondering the best ways to be able to move my stance without giving up balance. Right now just basically able to feel comfortable with standard stance. I a see practicing your options to gain more confidence and feel more relaxed over time and experience. Genius using the paddle initially 😍

Got a Body Glove Performer 11 ISUP as a gift and took it out on Newport Dunes on Christmas Day for my first time.....Been kayaking for months now but have really wanted to paddle board and now I finally have my chance..The biggest issue for me was moving my feet around the board once I stood up and I did take a splash into the water while trying to move around on the board so this tip to use the paddle to stabilize while you move your feet is huge and I can't wait to try it next time.

@raven2k12 whats the correlation between a boring hobby for me and photography when you say "is boring too, then" ? Then boring for what?

You mention nearly everything except the MOST IMPORTANT thing that you are doing in every movement of your feet!!!
The crucial thing is that your feet are nearly on the middle of the board when moving them (exception the hop) Though, your video was instructive and I looked to see where you placed your feet when moving them about.
