Jack Grealish has scored the grand total of 2 more goals than Almiron this season, having played 200 more minutes than Almiron, in a title-winning side that scored exactly twice the amount of goals that Newcastle did.
Obviously Grealish doesn’t rate Miguel Almiron. I don’t particularly rate Almiron. I do however think Almiron would have contributed about the same if not more to that Man City side than Grealish did. A £100m cheerleader.

Im a Newcastle fan and id happily admit Almiron isnt great at all and would probably be on my list of players to sell this summer. But what you can say about him is hes one of the most humble, hard working and down to earth players in the league, whos worked hard to get where he is today. Some in the PL could take note of him and his attitude. To slag him off behind his back when youre a fellow proffesional and not remotely mates with him is a disgrace.
He should be more worried about scoring an open goal against madrid. Had he done that then city wouldn't have beeen on the emd of an Embarrassing collapse

The first thing I did after seeing the tweet was to look up whether they had some previous beef. That's why this is disappointing. With banter, there's an understanding that I'm going to talk crap about you because we're friends and that's how we get on or we're rivals/enemies and I say crap and you say crap.
This was neither. Miggy was just a bystander in all this. As someone who has the unique distinction of being both an Atlanta United founding member and a Newcastle United supporter, I can say without a shadow of a doubt that there hasn't been a nicer guy in the sport than Miguel Almiron over my 5 years of following his career. He didn't deserve to be so publicly maligned like this.
Grealish is definitely talented, but about as bright as an eclipse.

To say your teammate played like a player from another team, by name, after a performance that you think is poor, is disrespectful and unprofessional. These two adjectives can go hand in hand with the truth because it's not about merit, but about decorum and the line of discipline that constitutes professionalism and its conduct.
If you look at Almiron, he's a man with seemingly lesser talent than Grealish; meaning he's limited. Ergo, Grealish by virtue of being more talented is the poorer player. Not just for a game, but for the entire season.
This is a man with a history of being unprofessional off the pitch, which is a far more damning reflection of the word poor. He's also been well below par on the pitch. For a man deemed world class, he's been substandard in his output and contributions throughout his career. He just played in a team where he was the talisman because he had more talent than most of his teammates.
Thus, whether that comment is in jest or not, it certainly is in poor taste and smacks of an utter lack of self awareness - all of which Grealish is synonymous with.
Having the choice of words is fine in the confines of the liberty you have. If it was as normal as you said, we'd see more instances of it. It isn't, because we don't.
Your cavalier attitude to excuse Grealish's behaviour and corroboration of it as a lesson for Almiron to take a positive learning from is all well and good if free speech is all you care about. It's also hypocritical and considering Grealish isn't even jokingly holding a guy to the same standards he holds himself to.
These people get paid to be professionals and part of that is basic decorum. On and off the pitch. Grealish is a failure in both. So no, the point doesn't apply to him.
If anything, Grealish should be more understanding of the circumstances Almiron finds himself in, since he was part of a similar team for years. He, unlike Almiron, was also infamous for his partying antics, including one instance where he got sent to the reserves for partying after a 4-0 defeat, in a season they got relegated in.
It's also classless, because class is beyond needing petty jibes in jest for the sake of getting a chuckle. All real world concepts that seem to elude Grealish, and by your explanation, you too in some extent.

Three yrs ago, man city players celebrated their title by singing about Kompany injuring Salah n a Liverpool supporter who got assaulted by Napoli supporters (battered in the street), whom btw, ended up in serious brain injury.
