I am honored to be compared to OccupyTheWeb! I haven't had the pleasure of meeting him yet, but he is a LEGEND and would really enjoy the opportunity to meet him! (Maybe I'll get to meet him at a conference some day 😀) Thank you so much for the compliments and I'm happy to hear that you're enjoying my content. I know I haven't posted in a while, but I'm hoping to get some fresh content out in the near future. Cheers!
@@daniellowrie can you provide some content about evasion i saw you were doing a course on aci learning that place about the same i couldnt join that cause of money restrains i have if you provide some content like that here it would be awsome
I've always heard that it is pronounced Ma-Tay because it is named after the plant. Though - like SIEM (seem vs sim) - I've heard people say mate both ways, so I think you're good. Thanks for the video!
Good video - I been trying out Parrot as well but went back to Kali , some tools just do not work that well on other distros. Like just the other day i was using Kage on parrot and it was giving me errors , fired it up on Kali and no issues - I don't have time to troubleshoot that stuff i just need it to work 😆
Thanks for sharing your experience! I didn't find Parrot to be too bad, but I did have trouble installing some C2s and, much like yourself, most of the time I don't want to spend all day getting things to work. I just want them to run. That said, nobody's perfect, so I still like Parrot.
For the longest time, i have been interested in cyber security mainly ethical working but i didn't have tge courage to take the first step, i recently just started learning but with so much information available it gets confusing.. May you advice me on which course to take or what steps i should take to learn ethical hacking?
One of the things I did when first starting out was to immerse myself into cybersecurity culture by constantly listening to podcasts, webinars, blogs, and writeups. It helps to give context to the topics and tools you're learning to use. Other than that just pick topics, tools, or techniques that you're interested in and do your best to stay focused on it until you feel competent in it. Then move on to the next thing and do it again. CTFs are a great way to skill up too 👍
I know, right! I can't believe I hadn't stumbled across this earlier. It's probably due to Kali and Parrot being so prevalent and how I'm just now really starting to deep-dive into C2s as I've found them more interesting as of late.
Hey Daniel, thanks for this new frame work video, Am still in my middle journey of learning bash. These past two days i tried out metasploit by creating a reverse shell(kali VM). I then established an http server using python, in the current directory that contains my reverse shell. Then when i accessed the http server in kali, using the browser in windows, the payload would not download but instead it just views in the browser and output encoded strings that's unreadable. What can i do for the payload to get downloaded when i access the http server listening on any address and on port 8000 in kali

Thanks for the info, Pete! I had a feeling it was Ma-Tay, but wasn't 100%. Now I will boldly pronounce MATE with confidence
👍😃

Don't you just hate it when that happens? LOL
What format is your payload?

Both are good, but If I could choose between the two I'd go for PNPT
