My hubby one time said to the service overseer (as he was filling out his time report and he was an MS at the time) pick a number between 7-10. The service overseer said, 'what?' my husband said, 'i gotta fill out my time report and I know it's probably around there, so pick a number...' he was so angry, but because my husband said it in front of ppl and they all laughed, he laughed it off and acted like my husband was joking. My husband wasn't. He honestly probably got more like 5 hours. 😂 We HATED service! Also, me, my husband and 2 adult children are all inactive baptized JW's. Not DFed, I mean REMOVED or disassociated, I'd be willing to bet we are still counted as JW's in that 8.8 million.
Great program friends. I was in for 49 years. In our circuit 1-A. In 2012 5 congregations were deslolved. With (x 3) halls sold. After I was excommunicated. I went to a meeting. I saw a very empty hall. Looking at the count which used to be around 84 to 90 on a good night, was about 34 in attendance. 🙋
I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY THEY KEEP SAYING THEY HAVE 8M JW'S. THAT'S A DAMN LIE. SO MANY PEOPLE HAVE LEFT THAT ORGANIZATION IN RECORD NUMBERS. THE TRUTH BE TOLD THEY MAY HAVE HALF OF 8M IF THAT MANY LEFT. OF COURSE THEY WILL NEVER TELL THE TRUTH ABOUT THAT THE SAME WAY THEY DON'T APOLOGIZE FOR ALL OF THEIR OTHER FALSE TEACHINGS.
@@ronhansen8471 if your faith is so strong, Google Jehovah witness Jeffrey Jackson, and watch his testimony where he lies openly before the Australian royal commission. Your organization has labeled us apostates for questioning and looking for truth. The truth lays in all the Jehovah witnesses own Books throughout the years. So many past so-called inspired teachings have changed and they say it’s the light getting brighter and brighter. If something is inspired by God, it does not change.
My wife and i didn't have kids because we thought we would just wait until the 'new system'. We woke up 2 years ago. I'm 50, she's 57, so its a bit too late. We would have had kids and likely even grandchildren by now. Of course, we would have raised them as JWs so, if we did a good job, we would be shunned by them now. So, i guess its a wash.....
Holding the larger summer conventions in relatively small Assembly Halls or like venues when the "old school" summer conventions were HUGE, like 100,000 or more...PACKED...is a CLUE. And now, though they try to double up the congregations assigned to one convention, you can still see SO MANY empty seats... If these people can see all the empty seats at the conventions and at their Kingdom Halls and still believe that their organization is "growing by leaps and bounds," they are, clearly, completely delusional. 😵💫
I was one of those food preppers, starting at 6am, working to early afternoon past lunchtime, usually 6-8 hours, it wasn't lack of spiritual food that was the problem. Later when I started a family and sat through the assembly talks I started to notice that a few months later the same information was presented in a public talk word for word, then a few months later the exact same information was in a watchtower magazine word for word. The same material was regurgitated on a regular basis. I would be sitting there thinking where have I heard this before and then after a while I made the connection, we were being fed the exact same spiritual food over and over again. So I don't accept that was the reason, it may have been a reason given but it was just padding.
Don’t forget all you need to do to be counted as an Active witness is to check the box saying that you shared in the ministry. It’s easier than ever to be an “active” witness.
I remember announcements a few years ago saying basically all the congregations funds are now gonna be under the control Of the GB… and please donate donate donate and with that money they were gonna build SO MANY needed Kingdom Halls And then literally a year later…. Complete 180… start consolidating congs, selling the Kingdom Halls and grabbing that money for themselves … and keeping all our extra donations for the huge push they needed to build more 😡
@@Whodat2015I truly dislike when people say this JW’s that are here. Like you got him. Dont push him away from the only truth he’ll ever be exposed to.
I recently tallied the average Global Birth rate and compared it to the last 23 years of JW increase. Since the beginning of the century (23 years) the avg. increase of JW has been 1.7% increase. The Global birth rate over the same time period (last 23 years) was 1.9%. Very telling.....The JW organizations increase doesn't even keep up with the birth rate thus they clearly have more born ins leaving than ever before and the small increase in overall publishers would logically be mostly those indoctrinated from birth and getting baptised into the cult before their cognitive abilities are even fully developed. This with the older ones dying off, and the availability of information on the internet which younger ones have more and more access to as they get older spells DOOM for the Organization
This is one of many reasons why I woke up! I kept hearing that jehovahs organization is growing by leaps and bounds, but when I'd go to the assembly or memorial, I was seeing less and less people! At first I thought witnesses were being assigned to other circuits or Conventions! Next thing I knew, we we're having Conventions at the assembly halls, a kingdom hall was sold, then congratulations were being combined! There was six congratulations, then there was 4 merging into 3 at the time I left!
@@DiffiCULTChildhood And it's always great news seeing videos like this! Especially since being announced on Kim Mikey's coffin lid in May 5th of 2019!
We had a Spanish group. They were smeared on social media, going from house to house, asking if they knew anyone who only spoke it. It died quickly. We had 2 halls, 3 congregations, about 300+ people and dozens of elders and MS. Now it's one hall and a single congregation, with 6 elders and MS.
I saw a pic my relative posted from the convention there was literally nobody. So many empty seats. I also heard that my relatives Spanish congregations don’t even rent out arenas but use their own halls.
I was surprised by this too. Unless it was for a small language group like ASL, I NEVER heard of a convention being held in an assembly hall even 6 years ago when I last went. Now it happens all the time in the US with English language conventions. I do remember tho the last convention I went to was moved from our usual Portland Memorial Coliseum to the Portland Convention Center. The portion they rented at the PCC was about 60% the capacity of the previous facility. So the district (regional) convention shrinkage was starting even then before Covid. Thanks for your comments frens! - Jason
The claims of worldwide memorial attendance also seem highly suspect. If 8.8M active JWs is accurate, believers think there is potential explosive growth just at the doorstep if there are 20M people attending their most high profile service. “Expectation delayed makes the heart sick.” For how many years can the faithful be coaxed along with promises of fulfillment of their dreams being “right around the corner”?
Here in Africa we see the numbers dwindling, along with less younger ones coming up in the Organisation. Then if you look the majority is now aged and out of shape.
Regional convention's throughout USA are only have full or less! The convention's I use to go to were 10k or more ! Some of those convention's now about 4k. Also less convention's.. Big drop off!
This has been noticed, the question is are they just organising smaller but more numerous groups of witnesses ( I have not seen any verifiable numbers for how many events overall compared to previous years) which could be offsetting the appearance of a decline in attendance. I know our regional conventions are being held in an assembly hall that has a max of about 1500 seats and around 1000 attending each event. When we used to rent a facility and have approximately 5000 in attendance each year. I just don't know if they have increased the number of events to offset the apparent decline in attendance. My instinct is numbers are decreasing and this is a way to obfuscate this fact.
I used to count convention's published in the WT magazine years ago for USA and then when they went to online only I noticed the drop off of convention's... not only the drop in attendance but in the number of them. All these small assembly halls still don't add up. Something to research if possible.
Yeah, exactly. When I was growing up in my teen years in the 70's, we averaged 40,000 attending the district conventions. In the past 10-12 ? years; they are now meeting at the local circuit assembly halls; with attendance of only 3,000 or so.
All of my family members involved in the JW atrocity continue to say “it’s growing it’s growing worldwide that’s how we know it’s Jehovahs organization” 🥸😞 it’s disheartening.
Yeah, I think they are counting people who are inactive like us three. And I think they are growing in developing countries. But they aren’t growing here in the US. No way. - Jason

With the 1914 generation passing away and now the over-lapping generation also in their final days whats next? They have no choice but to reinvent themselves to a more kinder gentler Org. Many in Org today don't even mention 1914 or 1975. It doesn't mean alot too them!
I did some math based out of their own annual yearbooks for 2014-2023. In that ten year time frame according to their numbers, there was 2,498,667 baptized. However, the number of baptized publishers reporting time, the number only grew by 757,084 in that same time frame. That means that there is a missing 1,741,583 from their own statistics. In addition the other number that stood out to me was the memorial attendance for that ten year period. In 2014 it was 19,950,019 and every year since it has hovered at that 20 million mark. From a number perspective, it is flat. So, if the memorial attendance number is flat, and they say they baptized almost 2.5 million, where are these coming from? Children of publishers I believe is the answer. What is wrong with that from the organization's perspective? No new sources of revenue in that children don't make donations, unless you are Sophia and Caleb and you donate your ice cream money.
@ronhansen8471 I was born and raised in the JW cult.....I have hundreds of JWs that I still communicate with on the low. I am told constantly how sooooo many are leaving and or living their lives contrary to what their told to do by the CULT leaders in SECRECY.

However, she finally admitted to me- "they had changed" and she did not agree w/ the Elders and faded away in her last decade of life.
The other problem is the Witness money making model. Their basis is like a pyramid scheme, were you need more and more new publishers to make more and more donations. That's why they push the preaching work, the menial labor jobs, and don't have kids, so you can be busy recruiting. They also save money with the volunteer labor, cleaning, landscaping, building, etc.. So when the publisher count goes down, so goes the revenue stream-thus requiring the selling of properties. As no matter how well taken care of all property needs remodeling, updating, and repairing. This is completely different from the Morman model of get a good paying job so you can make a larger tithe to the church and they check-up to make sure so you can stay in good standing.
I saw SOOO many Overseer's wives basically lose their minds because they could never have kids, but had to visit congratulations that we're full if kids. 😢

I often debate with JWs. I have had some say, " I don't care what you say I am not going to change my mind". To me, it means, "I know you are right and I am wrong but I will never admit it".
I want to thank you for the kindness that clearly comes through every video that both of you produce. The information that you are providing is valuable, but you are giving this information without being critical towards the members of the organization. It is also refreshing that you show that you completely respect each other, even though you have totally different beliefs. My wife and I have been watching EX-JW videos for a few years. In contrast to your content, I find it extremely sad that others aren’t just focusing on the damaging doctrine of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Although that is a common thread amongst most of the content creators, many of them are now being critical towards one another. There also seems to be an increasing amount of behavior that, in my view, is not appropriate. I’m sure that all these content videos are being viewed by all age groups. It is as important for a child to receive this information as it is for any adult. When others are using vulgar language, drinking alcohol, and even smoking marijuana on their videos, I feel that it detracts from the important message and information that they are wanting to provide. I am in no way judging the use of these things or the use of vulgar language because everyone should be free to do what they want to do. I’m only pointing out that no one would do these things out in a public park, as an example. It would be nice if content creators would focus on the message and be mindful that these videos are being viewed by everyone in that “public park”. If all content creators were unified in the message and not critical towards one another, I think that everyone’s message would be taken even more seriously. Part of the appeal of the Jehovah’s Witnesses is the unity that they portray. If the EX-JW community would show that same unity, the overall message would be even stronger. My wife and I faded from the organization way back in 1988. She was born into the organization. Her parents also eventually faded away and started celebrating holidays together for decades. Her mother was finally having the time of her life, but unfortunately the indoctrination that her father experienced truly never went away. Fast forward to 2019, and that indoctrination resurfaced. Covid 19 brought everything to the forefront because of the “last of the last of the last” days. He unfortunately got back into the organization and his wife automatically joined him. In 2021, my mother-in-law needed to have surgery. After the surgery, her blood count was low and needed to have a transfusion. The HLC stepped in, and my father-in-law stood firm for the blood policy. The doctors then started calling my wife pleading with her to help change her father’s mind. Sadly, that was impossible, and she passed away on October 14, 2021. After she passed away, we spoke to the doctor and asked if she would have survived if she would have received the transfusion (secretly hoping that he would say that it probably wouldn’t have made a difference), and he told us that she absolutely would have survived. She became another martyr for the organization. My father-in-law passed away on September 20, 2022. We now have no direct family connections to the JW Organization. Please continue to spread the message about the harmful doctrines of Jehovah’s Witnesses, while continuing to be kind and respectful. My wife and I appreciate you both very much.

It's not just about quantity of members, which is hard enough to gauge. I regularly try to have conversations with those at carts (and I'm good at not pushing their buttons too much) and many of them don't seem to be able to respond to a topic, never mind start one. It's pretty frustrating because I avoid the awkward topics (CSA, Trinity etc) which limits my options, but the remaining topics seem to fall flat too. They seem to resent someone interrupting their private/public meeting. I'm making a comparison with their door-to-door days and it's like they've lost the knack of talking to anyone but other JW's..
The organization as a whole is MUCH more superficial, more surface teachings than what we grew up in. What you're saying doesn't surprise me. Thank you for watching, love the feedback!
I was under the understanding that as a charity they are not aloud to have an hour requirement for all members and had to change it. So that's why only certain witnesses with pioneer status have to report.
Oh, that’s interesting. I had not heard that. My thinking was that it was to hide the reduced hours on the annual report and avoid embarrassment. - Jason
The elder’s in my old cong are still harassing me (as if I’m going to reply to them), even though I’ve been completely inactive for just under 2 years, so I’m pretty sure they’re still counting me.
Prior to covid, it was hard to get a slot on the cart, it was seen as easy ministry and was a mix of ages. After covid, it was hard to find enough people to keep the cart out for any decent time and was mostly those older in years.
Thanks for the whole discussion but especially 1) the KH #s, first growth then decrease to 64K, 2) timing of Warwick construction relative to Kushner’s real estate buys, 3) and further speculation on the way forward to be more appealing. Would hope there is a way to get a better handle on declines. Heard that 2/3 of JW young people leave during early adulthood, which if correct will be impossible to replace with new converts. So there should be millions less than they are stating. If we could get some leaks from inside that would be great.
There are 1000 millions in a billion. Which (I think my maths is correct???) mean, if there are 8.8m JW and 8Bm world population then 1 in every 1000 people are JW. Absolutely no chance.
@DiffiCULTChildhood even 1 in every 10,000 seems out. Here in the uk we have a national census every 11 years, where you "have" to fill in the form, which includes stating your reglion. A few year's back Jedi was accepted as a reglion because a number of folk put it down. However, I bet all JW proudly filled in the form (there is a fine if you don't). Last census was 2021 or 22 here. Maybe worth you two having a look. Regards. Failed bible study.
Same thing happens with the Roman Catholic Church. Many people in Mexico get baptized and sometimes even go through their first communion and afterwards never go back to the church. They do this, because in Mexico it used to be where getting baptized and having your first communion was a requisite to be enrolled in schools, or to get married, even if you’re not a believer, most of the people that I know I don’t attend the catholic church or counted as members of the Catholic Church because they were baptized.

Only having to mark the box saying that you shared at all in the ministry i think will have more PIMO/near PIMO still turning in "time" and being counted as "publishers". I know i do. I think i'm about ready to stop even checking the box though. It's kind of funny, about 6 months before the change in time reporting I started turning in 1hr only because my wife doesn't know the full extent of my "doubts" and i wanted to spark some discussion with the brothers. (I didnt want my wife to catch on that i was "inactive", I still do letter writing sometimes without using any JW material or even reference to the religion, just sharing from the bible. And i tell her i witness at work.) I expected Elders to contact me, you know, have a shepherding call to ask me about it but they never did. In fact i wrote to the GB almost two years ago with questions. They never responded but "coincidently" the Elders haven't even approached me in any spiritual context since then. As you know that's pretty unusual so I think the GB contacted the Elders and told them not to. Im contemplating sending all the Elders a list of questions to be answered scripturally to "strengthen my faith" 😉. Maybe it will get some of them thinking. That's how I will approach any future "remove from the congregation committees". I will just tell them im struggling with doubts and want scripturally based clear scriptural support for things like scripturally unsupported actions, changed teaching, evidence of a first century GB etc. Not some obscure interpretation of a parable, or scriptures out of context or NWT words that have been changed, added or given meanings that are not compatible with the original languages. Looking forward to someday transitioning from PIMO to POMO
That’s a tough situation. I think a letter like that to the Elders might just make them treat you like an apostate and maybe even they might go to your wife and warn her that you’re a “spiritual danger” to her. I just wondered (my crazy mind) if this 'not having children' policy is diminishing the numbers as well. Just what I saw: For instance in the Netherlands JWs tend to have only one or two children. They have 'small' families. On the other hand, 'wordly' families in the Netherlands can have two, three even four children. There weren't that many children in my congregation.
I wish the numbers were better in my family. Just one (me) of six kids has left. Fortunately not all Jehovah’s Witness families have that many kids. Falon and her siblings all left. Thanks for your comment! - Jason

The prince of peace says he has come not to bring peace but division. Love your enemies. Hate those that love you. A schizophrenic biblical message from a schizophrenic god. Jesus is a racket. Genesis 1:1 In the beginning the gods... ie. Elohim (Hebrew: אֱלֹהִים, romanized: ʾĔlōhīm: [(ʔ)eloˈ(h)im]), the plural of אֱלוֹהַּ (ʾĔlōah), is a Hebrew word meaning "gods" and "goddesses" and this is only just four words into the holy script.
@@ronhansen8471 honestly most are hurt what they have been through not loving is it .

Now it happens all the time in the US with English language conventions. The claims of worldwide memorial attendance also seem highly suspect. If 8.8M active JWs is accurate, believers think there is potential explosive growth just at the doorstep if there are 20M people attending their most high profile service.

Interesting. Thank you for sharing. - j

Thanks for the whole discussion but especially
1) the KH #s, first growth then decrease to 64K,
2) timing of Warwick construction relative to Kushner’s real estate buys,
3) and further speculation on the way forward to be more appealing.
Would hope there is a way to get a better handle on declines. Heard that 2/3 of JW young people leave during early adulthood, which if correct will be impossible to replace with new converts. So there should be millions less than they are stating. If we could get some leaks from inside that would be great.

Awesome! Thank you!
I really am enjoying this video! Thanks! Its awesome!❤❤❤❤

THE BIBLE teaches that Jesus was MADE As Lord and Christ and as Son (ACTS 2:36, Prov 8, HEB 1:5), CREATED/PRODUCED/INSTALLED (Prov 8) , COME INTO BEING/MADE (Mat 21:42 - egeneto) and GIVEN LIFE by the Father - John 5:26 and it uses TODAY (Heb 1:5), and uses future tenses and is a prophecy in Isa 9:6 (Isa 9:6, - WILL BE) . If you are called MADE AND CREATED AND GIVEN LIFE, and NEVER CALLED in the BIBLE as Creator or Maker , then you are A CREATION. ALL FROM THE BIBLE
From the Lord was this (this is referring to the chief cornerstone who is Jesus) , the word WAS is egeneto (made or came into being) - Matthew 21:42 and the exact Greek word used in John 1:3 - MADE, egeneto (came into being) - JESUS WAS MADE/CAME INTO BEING FROM THE FATHER , yes, Jesus was MADE/CREATED!, See also Acts 2:36, Heb 1:5, 1 john 5

A baptised married couple with 2 toddlers = 2 publishers.
The kids become teens and get dunked and now there are 4 publishers in that family.
So publisher numbers doubled, but there are no extra people.
If I remember correctly, in 2016 a record number of 300,000 were dunked but publisher numbers fell by 1 % … go figure.

I’ve heard of Elders breaking up marriages that way.
I’m sorry you’re going thru that. Wishing you the very best. - Jason
@wakeingup thanks for sharing this tho. I’m sure a lot of people are in the same boat.
@@DiffiCULTChildhood No doubt, my intent is to record any such committee and be careful to not give them any way to claim I am sharing my beliefs/doubts with others. They "claim" they won't DF you for having doubts, only if you share with others. If they were to still "remove me from the congregation" (instead of DF, their new legalise to avoid Govt. sanctions) I am hoping such a revealing recording would be one more example of their duplicitous behavior that i can share with my wife. I've been gradually having a little success getting her to question small things and eventually when enough things add up i hope she gets to a tipping point. Even if such an event didn't wake her up i think it would make coming out a little easier for her to accept if it was a clear violation of their own rules. Also if they were to go to ANYONE with this information i would instantly bring legal claims against them. They like to claim Clergy Penitent Privilege rights, I almost welcome them breaking that. We shall see. To anyone out there with ideas let me know. I've been watching all the Judicial meetings i can find that have been posted, for ideas and how to present them when the time arises
There have been all the changes to disfellowshiping arrangement because of Norway, but does this also play into WT's hand that when people like us just leave and dont dissociate, they dont DF (Remove) us, so that we can still be counted. I know for me the Elders said dont dissociate and they won't DF me, just go my way.
That’s interesting. That makes a lot of sense that they would use that to their advantage. - Jason

I just wondered (my crazy mind) if this 'not having children' policy is diminishing the numbers as well.
Just what I saw:
For instance in the Netherlands JWs tend to have only one or two children. They have 'small' families. On the other hand, 'wordly' families in the Netherlands can have two, three even four children.
There weren't that many children in my congregation.
It would be interesting to see how many Ex JW,s are in this world millions ???

Genesis 1:1 In the beginning the gods... ie. Elohim (Hebrew: אֱלֹהִים, romanized: ʾĔlōhīm: [(ʔ)eloˈ(h)im]), the plural of אֱלוֹהַּ (ʾĔlōah), is a Hebrew word meaning "gods" and "goddesses" and this is only just four words into the holy script.
