I am an English teacher who looooves teaching phrasal verbs, I even made a podcast all about them. But I learned so much about them from you! Like right now, I'm just here refreshing my phrasal verb basics with you, because you really do it best!
Invaluable channel! Hello from 2022! The fact that the author took care of the written materials that can be downloaded is a great example of high professionalism.
As far as I know, you use BETWEEN when you are referring or comparing two things. Of the other side, the use AMONG is when you are referring or comparing three things or more. If you want to be sure, you can double check with English Grammar Rules.
I'm very lucky to find a such good English teacher! Great explanation and thanks for the list and exercices ! I will keep looking forward for your videos!

Nice, great tips! Phrasal verbs really are so important. I try to teach them to my students every day because I think it is one of the best ways for English students to develop more advanced English. I've been making videos and writing an e-book about ways to learn new phrasal verbs, and this video is also really helpful.
Hi that was a very useful as well as effective class on phrasal verbs. I benefited a great deal from it. Another thing that I want to comment is your teaching style. You use a different variety of methods and some amount of humor that make your class more interesting and lively.
Its good to see an empty Vegemite bottle recycled as a pencil case in front of you! I also love Vegemite! Actually its my acquired appetite since i came back first after my new year's trip to Australia lol. So beautiful country!! I m a big fan of Aussy style!!
I interpret the 'up' in the phrasals: eat up, break up, get up, look up, etc., as giving a sense of fully completing an action or process. Anyone else see this?
Where where you? Great teacher! I'm studying English, but for the first time I'm able to understand and, above all recognize phrasal verbs and memorize the! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your wonderfull explanations ! By the way I'm Maria and I live in sardinia, italy. I'm follow your videos

well sir great and indeed magnificent streneous effort you ve made BUT here is a problem with me that i cant remember phrasal verbs would you please help me regarding this
Hi guys! Can someone access the link(ist of the most common phrasal verbs), because it is not available to me .... I know I'm a little late :) Thanks in advance and thanks for the videos !!!!
thanks for the class!!! there is something I've found strange....maquillarse? isn't it do make-up? use make-up, apply make-up... I've never heard "make up" with that meaning before, only as a noun (with the hyphen)
👉 Hi Christian! @Canguro English, are you sure that "reading" 07:04 is an object? How come? I thought "to go" was an intransitive verb. When you say, "They went on strike to demand proper health measures," you cannot replace "strike" with a direct object pronoun (e.g. "They went on it") . I believed stative verbs, also known as verbs of feeling (and certain action verbs (also called dynamic verbs)) , were likely to take gerunds as their objects.
Good morning teacher my name is shawn from vietnam I were always paying attention to your videos i really liked your all the way activities with teaching i will soon be Australia for working in this month But how could I find you for drinking coffee
Actually Christian, I think I am going to contact you about literature / book recommendations. I've studied a bit about cognitive linguistics, but I'm wondering about the best summaries about the history of English, or anything else that would help in deeply understanding and teaching phrasal verbs.
Istn't it that you decide to put the object in the middle or at the end if you want to lay weight on a special part of the sentence? Like if it is clear that we talk about my sister, but the question is what I should do to her, I would say "I pick my sister up", but if picking up is clear and the question is whoom, I would say "I pick up my sister."
Thank you so much. It's good to know that there's some kind of order to the nonsensical phrasal verbs. For spanish speakers, phrasal verbs are difficult to grasp. I've tried so hard, and the only phrasal-verb-like expression I could find was "venir abajo" as in "el edificio de vino abajo (se derrumbó)" I remember one of the first times i heard some phrasal verbs was the verb "print out". I had to hand in a paper but had it in a flashdrive. My teacher told me that I had to print it out. I immediately walked out of the classroom trying to find some printers right outside. I found none. By the way, is there any rule of thumb that gives you a broad idea of what the prepositions could mean? Some kind of educated guess? For example, I've heard people using UP as in getting or acquiring something: suit up or partner up. However, I don't know if we could generalize for most prepositions.
Download a list of the most common phrasal verbs in English here: drive.google.com/file/d/1D7FzUEYfiRnYRovv0nRXd9BOBxxJqswH/view My advice: look at pages 18-22 section: appendices.
hello my Teacher all the videos of phrasal verbs of you have professional perspective, but I dont know how that could be better than as in now because I was not exactly able to match some examples that you tell us with what my intellect is, I think my imagination might be weak or my perception of 3D might be weak , also my teacher I m confused about ''preposition +wh clauses '' for example like '' through which about which, for what '' you know there is a preposition +wh clause at the begining or middle of the sentence especially while I was trying to understand these sentences ,they make me force , could you help me with this because I would like to understand those sentences easily and quickly thank you for excellent videos and for you
