Hi Anton, Thank you for your comment, the basic dose is the dose you would prefer, and is advised by your detergent bottle when using manual dosage. I hope this helps. Thank you - EJ
The basic does I for a 4/5 kilogram load with persil protect was 40mils in my area of water softness however I bought the series 8and it worked it all out even our water softness .
If I deactivate the both IDOS options, and use the left compartment for the liquid detergent, does the fabric softener on the middle compartment is used?
So when using the I-dos function and needing to use an additional laundry cleanser product I.e dettol. If you put it in the left drawer will it still dispense? Even though it’s run straight down when you put it in? There needs to be more videos on how to use additional care products properly etc. would be a great help.
The I-DOS is not taking conditioner. If I deactivate it, and use conditioner in the drawer on the left, of course it will run off with the first fill. Have tried cleaning everything, it's only 4 months old and pretty much useless. The IDOS is the worst thing I have come across. The only way to use conditioner is to stand over it and put it in manually at approx 10 minutes. I use a super contorted conditioner so it's expensive if the machine decided and often does to do another spin at 6 mins, but not every time.

Hello, thank you for your comment. We do not recommend using powder detergent with the i-Dos system. The i-Dos system is designed to work with liquid detergents specifically formulated for automatic dosing systems. Powder detergents can cause issues with the i-Dos system, such as clogging or malfunctioning. It is recommended to use liquid detergents that are compatible with the i-Dos system for optimal performance and results. - Sam.
Hi, we would recommend using our descaling powder we do not offer a liquid descaler for our washing machines. www.bosch-home.co.uk/store/cleaning-and-care/descalers/for-dishwashers/00311918#/Togglebox=manuals/ Thnks Charlotte.
Hello The first compartment would be used for your regular detergent and the second chamber can be used for softener. The third chamber can be used for manual dosing of special products and added, as and when these are required (for example for use of special detergents used for washing woolen items). If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact us via any of the methods found at the link below: www.bosch-home.co.uk/customer-service/contact-us Thanks - Claire Bosch Home Appliance Customer Service
The machine is designed to have one detergent in the first chamber, this would be the one that is most regularly used, for example for your coloured items. The second type of detergent, for example for whites, would have to go into the manual dosing compartment each time this is required. - Claire
Hi, we would not advise using this in an iDos. But if any other liquid is being used other tan detergent or softener, it would need to be the manual dosing.
Hi, we would not recommend using vinegar, as over time this could cause damage to the rubber seal and hoses. We do recommend our cleaning product, www.bosch-home.co.uk/store/cleaning-and-care/cleaning-products/for-washing-machines/00311925#/Togglebox=manuals/ Thanks, Mandy.
Hi. Currently, my dispenser for liquid detergents contains a coloured wash detergent. As I don’t ever use fabric softener, I’d like to use the fabric softener dispenser for another liquid detergent. Specifically, I was thinking of adding a detergent for white washes. My thinking was to activate i-DOS 1 for my coloured washes and i-DOS 2 for my white washes. Would this work? Thank you
Hi Susan, Thank you for reaching out to us. The compartment on the left, is for pre-treatments, or laundry cleanser. I hope this helps. Thank you - Emma
Im having trouble getting smells out of fabrics. I want to find a setting to use more detergent automatically for a while. I already use powder.. self clean.. high temperature machine cleaner. Certain clothes are making any others they touch smell waxy.
Hi, You can use the manual dosage container (normally compartment 3), or you can follow the instructions in the manual of your specific appliance to disable iDos, which enables manual dosage. Thanks - Craig
Normally you disable the iDos by pressing the iDos button until there is no indicator on the display, however I'm not able to confirm as this isn't a UK model, and none of the manuals are in English. It may be an idea speaking with your retailer, or if you live outside the UK/ROI, contacting your local Customer Service: www.bosch-home.com/
@@BoschHomeUKandIreland yes i disable the idos by press the button to remove softener and detergent sign. But the question is if i put manually the detergent at the manual case and the softener at the softener case will softener ? Because have only 1 case for manual use. Hi, I am sorry to hear that your I-Dos washing machine is not taking the fabric conditioner. If we can help with this, please call our customer service team on 0344 892 8979. Thanks, Mandy.
This is so impractical. Why isn't there a separate compartment for white and color? I have to waste the remaining color detergent and wash the compratment before I can wash white shirts.
Hi, the washing machine can be dosed manually per wash. If you need to do a white load you dose it for that 1 load, then you can dose for the coloured wash. Alternatively you can use the I- Dos for the coloured and manually dose for whites. In doing this there wouldn't be any waste of detergent. Thanks Charlotte.

The detergent icon is flashing for me, but it is almost full. Anyone know what this is? It is 1-3 millimetres away from being full.
Hi, It may be the sensor is blocked, we'd recommend removing and cleaning the drawer out, see if that helps. Thanks - Craig
Thanks for your reply. By “laundry cleanser” , do you mean an antibacterial rinse like Dettol?

Yes, any laundry cleanser, or any pre-treatment agent, similar to stain removal treatments will go in there
