I think this would be a wonderful opportunity to pause for a moment and give thanks for the great contributions of the Black community to our society. Their peaceful and generous nature make them ideal neighbors, lending testimony to their exceptional family values and parenting skills unrivaled by any other culture. Their commitment to academic excellence enriches our schools and serves as an example to all who hope to achieve prominence as a people. Real estate values are fueled by the mix of African Americans into an area due to their caring and respectful nature of these communities, an example of all they have achieved through their enthusiasm for self-improvement by hard work and a self-reliant can-do nature. Without their industrious and creative drive, we would most undoubtedly be poorer as a nation.

It’s so crazy that it’s taken this long to have a Black Glinda in Wicked. I know Glinda is supposed to be blonde (it’s in the text) but that was clearly no excuse for it to take this long.

Maybe it took long because they couldn’t find the right person yet

You'd think they would've been had Black actor/actresses on Broadway since WE ARE literally the entertainment that White America looks upon. Entertainment always falls onto Black/Brown minorities, etc. We are expected to entertain them.
That being said, I have to go see the show and try to get a picture with her!

The green witch should have a person of any color playing that role.. she green! Oz should be all colors and animals abd munchkins. There was no issue except casting limits

Its made up. The male lead is suppose to be noir with patterns. And, he was always played as white man. Besides, elphaba is green. What in the land is real here?? . Nothing.. so no, cultural anything. Fyero needs to be blk , then, as written

Woah there, buddy! I know Glinda has been consistently white for 83 years and that this is clearly an adjustment for some of us, but that's really not an excuse to go after black people now
