Not that we needed more proof, but Dany is pure rock star! Just when you think she reached the peak of her vocal range, she reaches deep inside and hits a vocal note that goes even higher and all in the same breath. 3. Like in so many of their songs, Ale’s bass lines provide the engine that drives the song. Her backing vocals at the end of the song are some of the best I’ve ever heard. 4. If Pau mugging for the camera can’t bring a smile to someone’s face, then I’d have to ask if they aren’t dead yet.

Long long way to go looking at this list, ZZ Top, Rush, Muse, Hendrix, Cream, Green Day, The Police to name a few....... And most of them do not use a bunch of backing tracks to fill songs out. This version has a ton of production behind it from keys/synth, guitars and baking vocals to fill this out, this live version has half of what is actually on the studio version from the backing tracks playing behind them. Still a killer song...

I have been playing this version over and over in my head again and again and again ever since I walked out of the Pepsi Center that night. Their studio work is really good--and I like that version of HYCAD. But for me, live, on stage, in front of THEIR crowd, is where they are special. This show in CDMX is one of the finest musical performances I have ever witnessed. All three of them were suffering from the flu and the 7000+ foot elevation of Mexico City. And they give us this wonderful performance.

The Rock Gods where looking down on the earth and realized rock was dying, so they deployed a rescue team of three, to battle the demise. This is a hell (no pun) of a song that hits hard and it rocks your socks of, melts your face and leaves a tear of happiness In your eyes. As usual The Warning are better served Live, the other version is great to have in ear when you are on the road thou. Experiencing TW in person when they perform is something extra terrestrial!
Ale's bass here is massive that will bust your eardrums. Pau Cam is great to see Pau doing amazing Pau things. Dany's vocals are insane, on a new level.

Your smile said it all! The great thing about their music is, it is always open to interpretation. Never feel bad about the order you watch the videos. And you will find things in each video you really like, but not in EVERY video. This song, Dany's voice, Ale's bass and singing the lead part when Dany goes ultrasonic.........But Pau, smiling, happy, playing her heart out, but just like her sisters, suffering from the flu, to the point that her voice was cracking in different songs. They are special, but we already knew that!!
This is a concert band. Their studio versions are great, but their concerts are where the energy is. It's obvious to me they feed off the audience's energy and we give it right back to them.
Doesn’t matter which studio version and/or album; their secret sauce is live performances. One can capture the energy transmitted by the Villarreal sisters when on stage.
It is also recommended to watch their performance performed weeks ago at Shiproaked, where they sang in the daytime in an open environment, and their performance and sound is equally or similarly powerful. It's crazy how heavy their sound is in such conditions, a fan has a 4K video and high quality sound.

I love their live performances. They actually sound better than their studio tracks. Not many bands have the ability to do that and adjust to live performances that exceed the quality of a studio production. They did it yet AGAIN! I wonder if Beto Ramos (Sound Engeneered the Teatro Metropolitan CDMX show of 2022 and performed on drums for Narsasista) did this production as well.
I've watched this performance and a number of reactions to this song, dozens of times in the past week or so. This is maybe the second or third time they did it live. There's also a great live performance during their "Shiprocked 2024" gig back in February that's floating around. They also did " S!ck" and "More" as well. The sheer joy on Pau's face throughout, Ale's killer bass line, and Dany's guitar and vocals are next level. Saw another reactor compare her vocals to Ann Wilson of Heart, having seen them at around this age back in '77, I wholeheartedly agree.
The only song Heart did that I recall that's anywhere near this heavy is Barracuda, and Dany's vocals are much more powerful than that.. And of course Ann Wilson never had two strong backing vocalists.

Crazy on You, Little Queen, White Lightning and Wine, Love Alive, and Kick it Out plus a rousing cover of "Rock and Roll" dedicated to the King to close the show.
Dany has been doing an amazing job over the last few years in expanding her vocal range. There’s a big difference between doing higher vocal belts because you can and actually doing them well. IMO, Dany’s vocals are continually evolving and the power she has is quite impressive. I liked the studio version. I actually like the guitar intro better. What I was disappointed in was how Ale’s powerful bass was toned down throughout and the power in Dany’s vocals wasn’t realized in the mixing. I’ll listen to both but I prefer the live version. It fulfills the promise we all saw in the fan cam videos.

Love the Pau cam. She is having a blast. There is a lot of discussion about the studio version because it is so heavily processed. They are always better live, but I think eliminating the over processing on the vocals makes this so much more of a heavy rock song.
The holy grail of getting the appropriate studio Producer. A dilemma all musicians/bands face. I think they would benefit from an old school live in the studio style recording session.
So many great songs have been written about life on the road (Turn The page - Bob Seger, Stay - Jackson Brown, Highway To Hell - AC/DC). Harsh life with great rewards. This one is up there with the best of 'em. As for the studio version being "overproduced", they have, by contract, total control over what they do sound-wise. Some people may not like the way it sounds but most think it's awesome. The energy of the live version DOES bring it to another level, tho.
I honestly don’t feel like it is super different from the studio version as far as the mixing goes except for minimally but live always sounds more …well, live, for various reasons. The bass always comes through harder live and vocals always are unique in every performance and feels fresh. The guitar might possible feel feel less fuzzy but I think it is much because of what the room adds, the open space and the walls let it sing more. Dany really sings with her whole soul in this performance. She’s become just as good as many legendary rock singers. Even many epic singers suck at times at their prime but Dany has grown into a very impressive singer and she never seems to fail these days.

I mean, Highway to Hell was written about waking up on the tour bus to find someone's foot in your face... I was initially disappointed in the studio version of HYCAD because I was familiar with the live version. It's growing on me, but live is definitely better.

I don’t know about the rehearsing but it sounds like they didn’t have much time for that, as far as the ‘one take’ I think that’s established.
