The Trey Murphy injury was a blessing in disguise. Hawk has gotten so many reps with the starters and bringing him off the bench against weaker lineups will have him cooking. Running him, Trey, and Matt Ryan will open up so much for BI and Zion. Stoked to see him getting the respect he deserves

  • @coldchilln90

Jordan Hawkins & Trey Murphy on the court together will be crazy. Get well soon Trey!!!

  • @adybalanolomete

I think most of this plays were ment for Trey Murphy III and since he got injured they realized that Jordan Hawkins can also play that role. This discovery will be huge for them come playoffs time because having two different player that can execute the same play makes it so much harder to guard, each one will put their minor spin on it making it harder for the defender to figure out exactly how to counter it.

Calling THEE Herbert Jones “this guy” is a criminal offense in New Orleans

  • @edgardocruz-pagan4107

The Pelicans front office honestly deserves massive respect. Hawk, Trey Murphy, Herb Jones, even Naji Marshall and Jose Alvarado.. ALL steals that have shown great potential coached by a gritty new coach to the league. Pels don't get enough credit for that, they could realistically have one of the best runs for a young team.

  • @ryanthomas6405

And the Pelicans have this guy, CJ McCollum, Trey Murphy III AND Matt Ryan

  • @loweman25

Been playing Hawkins in fantasy for a few weeks now and it's so exciting to see him blossom while giving the pels much needed 3 point shooting. Smart player, and had a feeling about him when watching UConn on their national championship run. Love the love shown here Tucker!

As a Pelicans fan I was hoping the team would go after Lively since we need rim protection. But if we hadn't drafted Hawkins we'd be F'd to start the year with injuries. Dude had to step into a spotlight role and he showed he's a player. He's streaky as hell. But when TM III comes back and CJ gets back into shape, BI and Z will rack up assists with shooters nailing wide open 3's.

Excellent video and its great to see someone is at least not sleeping on Jordan Hawkins. Even the better podcasts I listen to fail to talk about the Pelicans and this rookie gets completely left out of conversations. When I was listening to a podcast specifically about this year's tookie class, his name comes up, but still all the talk is about Wemby, Chet, Cayson Wallace and Ausar Thompson. I love all these guys, but the insane NBA readyness of Hawkins is just remarkable and he's only going to get better.

The pels have been killing the draft and might be the deepest team in the NBA.

  • @donaldallison245

His rebounding is very underrated as well

  • @M0T0283

wow the pelicans really are one of the most underrated drafters in the league

  • @gyui1091

Knew he was gonna be good, he’s basically playing exactly how he did in college, I was surprised to see him fall so low

  • @RainSupreme

This might be the best rookie class since 2003

  • @xencloud

Glad somebody is noticing, he's really been fantastic for us!

  • @hashiramember001

knew he’d be good since college. his off ball movement is different and he can be valuable with the ball in hand as well

  • @kai1x_
    @kai1x_  +3

He said he wants to play like ray allen n that checks out. Gon be a really good 3-D guard

  • @chrismofo1

Pelicans fans been talking about him for weeeeks

  • @Adrianobritow

    These breakdowns have been gold!

  • @liljay7520

Hawk nice right when I watched his college highlights I knew it was gonna translate at the next level his jumper was just pure but what I didn’t know was how high his confidence is he pulling up no matter what he ain’t scared of the moment it takes some rookies time to get settled in he been like this from day 1 with the Pels
