Personally I think they are just trying to see what a playoff lineup looks like before the trade deadline. They haven’t really had everyone healthy until now. And we still aren’t 100%, but it’s close. I think they just need info to make decisions on the roster. Jordan will have a bright future on this team.
I agree with the G league move though. Give him run if you don’t plan on playing him.
I pray he goes to another team before they destroy his confidence and ruin his career trust me it's a lot of teams in the West could make use of his shooting skill now.

Pelicans are deep, same thing with Matt Ryan, he shot pretty good also from dt.....I think it's good he got that experience and still get opportunity

Have to disagree. Hawkins should be playing for his development. Can’t get better unless he has experience because all you doing is hunting his confidence and development. Not saying high minutes but he can get 0.
Hawkins should definitely be getting minutes. The bench lineup should be: Alvarado, Hawk, Naji, TM3, and Zeller.
I know I left Dyson out on purpose. And if you want to fit him in, then Dyson for Naji.
But both are better than Hawkins
@@corbinwatts1374Dyson just had great Defense and a good touch at the rim. His shot has never been great or even good. I think with experience and putting on a little bit of weight (not much) he has the potential to be the next shooter like Curry,Trae Young. The confidence he has in his shot is what makes him such a great shooter and that is the same with the other Hall of Fame level Shooters in the league like Dame or Curry. I’m ready to see how he carves out his career

@politicallil7060 He's not playing at all, which is totally a coaching issue. The G league situation isn't ideal, but it's definitely better than waiving a top-15 pick as you suggested.
Hawkins should totally be in the rotation, especially with the lack of shooters on this team. But you know WG has his teacher's pets...
I love CJ but he doesn’t swing the ball, he dribbles too much and has poor defense. We should be banking on BI in the clutch, Zion driving, and have shooters who swing the ball around them.
Trey, Hawk, Zion, BI, and Herb is a fast paced offense with shooting. The problem is Zion’s lack of rebounding. If he rebounded the way he COULD AND SHOULD, our team could play the way they could.
We need to trade Zion if he doesn’t play better in other areas. The team looks great without him.

Nah, you don’t actively look to trade Zion, he’s our best offensive player by quite a bit. The only way you trade him is if it’s an undeniable offer from an eastern team. Because if we trade him and he buys into the team then he will be an MVP and we don’t want to deal with that
I would still play Hawkins. Cut naji minutes. Hawkins has higher upside that can pay off later in the season. The type of contested shots Hawkins shoots is playoff basketball. I’m still seeing Naji pass up shots which can hurt the offense

Well we are pretty healthy when it comes to guards. CJ, Alvarado, Naji, Dyson and Herb. I Loved his game and he is going to be really good for us. He does have to get more active though.

Keep Jonas, trade Kira and Larry with a first for a solid 4/5 player that fits under the cap.

Yea you’re right Jake. Hawkins mins must be cut now that we are healthy but he can develop slowly. No rush.. Hawkins wasn’t as money as we like to consider him as and his defense lacked. He still needs to develop despite showing good signs early already

Hawkins is not getting play because he is better than CJ. And CJ is being paid more. Just as Zion, he is the worst rebounder and defensive player. And we know Zion should be your best rebounder, but he isn't. Willie Green is afraid to make team decisions. They rely on Jordan when CJ was hurt and Avorado, who is suspected on defense. Avaroda definitely can be posted up if the other team chooses, too. And Willie was not that good of a player to deal with stars. Hawkins can be a Ray Allen if he used right. And if he becomes better than CJ, bench CJ. Cj is definitely not any defensive stopper. CJ had his time, and he dribble tondam much for me. Every time others need a pass, he turns it over because it is not in his DNA. They only got three good defensive plares, Marshall, Daniel's, Avaroda, and Herbe.
JHAWK will shine in the second unit

Don't ruin the young man's career. If you can't use him then waive him and let another team pick him up that can use his skill set. Snell and Temple rarely played. You need to stop making up information just to make your case/narrative.
Jose has a higher floor, but Kira has a higher ceiling. Jose is more fundamentally sound, but Kira has more natural talent.
Jose is a fan favorite, and a part of our regular rotation, but he wouldn't come off the bench, let alone be on the team for any other team that's talking about contending. The League has figured out his sneak steal on the inbound, and he's a defensive liability in the half court.
Kira can learn a lot from Jose about being a better finisher in the paint. He should spend his time with the Squadron working on a floater, or even dunking.
Jose will plateau soon, if he already hasn't. Kira has a lot of upside still left.

Guys please don't try to overanalyze this! Everyone predicted since the start of the season that once Trey Murphy returned to the lineup that he was going to take Jordan Hawkins minutes! It's as simple as that. Trey is coming off of injury & needs to get as much real game time in as he can to catch up with the other players who have been playing all season. Trey is now an experienced NBA player so he is naturally going get to play over the rookie. Jordan is going to get back in the rotation when the time is right. At some point, Trey will get up to speed with his conditioning, and they can rest him more with Jordan.
But it's a fair question. We all get Trey is back and before knew his minutes would go down but that was before we all knew he wasn't just a spot up shooter and actually is a guy capable of putting 30 on the scoreboard. To not play him at all is not only an injustice to him but to the team as well
@@killakam1211 I get the frustration with Jordan's lack of playing time recently. I think Charles Barley said it best when he said that he's never seen a person get good at something the less that they do it. Willie Green is going to have to figure out how to get some quality playing time for Jordan while trying to get Trey back up to speed. The fact that they are winning w/o him doesn't help his cause. We just have to be patient! At least having that kind of depth on our team is a good problem to have!!!
