Yes, please! I love the off grid concept also. The only thing missing for me is the dog wash because living in the woods, I’d have several dogs to keep me company especially on long hikes. Even now mine needs a bath or a paw wash quite often.

GE Team, I love your home designs and features, from the 1,000' sf to 14,000' sf sizes. The 4,000 home is the ideal size for two people. You showcase lot of lake homes in the upper Midwest. Do you showcase river homes in interior mountain areas of NC and VA? Also, living 'off--the-grid' seems adventuresome, until the homeowner needs need a technician or skilled worker to fix something. It helps if the homeowner is an engineer. Best always, Rick (@VA)
Yes, we will showcase homes from North Carolina and VA. we do showcase more from the Midwest as that is where our Video Production team lives and that trims travel expense for the team.
Many people come to us while searching to fulfill this rustic dream of land . They are often frustrated because the perfect scenic property doesn't coincide with a waterfront (mountain views over water). I always solve the problem by saying, find the perfect view and the water be created, usually better than what exists. This concept makes the property search easier so you can spend more time on creating a great home like these. Out west those perfect waterfront views are most always in the national forest. Of course that is one of the rewards of camping!
The architect did his job fantastically. So many wonderful details. They often show properties for families. There is for single people and barrier-free properties?
Fico imaginando o cheiro desse tipo de casa como deve ser fantástico. É a construtora mais Luxuosa em termos do que seja "rústico". Fantástico para casa de campo.
Beautiful camp, but needs more outside deck facing the lake. This feels like you are always inside looking at the outside rather than flowing inside to outside. Access to the lake seems a bit convoluted too.. On the positive side that is an impressive cereal collection. Seinfeld would be proud!

Beautiful. But why did you use lead acid batteries that require venting and monitoring/maintenance? And the AH are only really good for half the rated capacity.
Great house as always, but they all have the same problem, the position of the TV. It’s either above the fireplace, so you have to look up to it or it’s next to the fireplace and therefore off center. If you’re sitting on the left side of the couch in this house then you won’t be able to see the full screen. This is really something that needs to be incorporated into the designs in a better way.
Its exquisite, the only thing i don't get is why people want to carry huge baskets of laundry up two floors. Put your laundry in the master closet people!
Looks overall excellent ! I would have selected different electrical components, like lithium-type batteries. Where's the gas supply ? Didn't see any propane or LNG tanks, an off-grid home would need that ? And didn't see any solar panels, although I understand they may not be so effective so far north.
You’re right there was a fuel source stored on site. Not sure what it was though. There were solar panels. We made them very obvious. Just rewatch it toward the last half of the video.
I understand radiant heat in a concrete floor but how do you do it on the second floor where the floor is made of wood? It would be great if that could be explained in a future video.

Nevertheless, this is a gorgeous masterpiece, and kudos to all the people who created it
Thanks for your comments on its beauty! Actually, they are not more fire friendly than an average home. Consider this... large logs take longer to catch fire than kindling wood. The average home is full of (essentially) kindling wood and drywall, which is much more flammable.
get rid of the fake ceiling structure. Nice job with the mechanical stuff. I liked the design elements. well done overall. I wonder the cost. - the kitchen looks tiny, with little natural light for such a big house.
- there could be more open floor design, some of the connections feel a it claustrophobic
- the wood panels are too yellow, I think lighter, more neutral tone would have been better
