    It's surprising that it didn't rain on you in the Sahara 😂. You need to stop with the rain dances before you leave on a trip.

      His David, funnily enough, the day before I made it to the Sahara, they had 24 hours of heavy rain in the area - thank goodness I missed that!! 😂 Yep, I need to learn some sun dances! 🌞

    Another great day on the bike and don’t take it the wrong way uneventful. I mean No biblical rainfall , broken mic’s , stuck in sand etc 👍 .
    Good touch sharing your thoughts out loud.
    How’s the hand getting on switching the camera on and off all the time ? Should look at getting a GoPro remote for the handle bars ..
    keep up the good work Steve 👍

      @TwoWheeledDreamer  7 месяцев назад

      Hi Mark, yes, it’s really nice to have an uneventful day on the bike for once! 🙂 I’ve been using my right hand to operate the GoPro and so far all is well, I will be looking into a remote at some point too…. I may even look at getting a quick shifter fitted to the bike at some point to cut down on clutch operations as I think that would be helpful to me… 🙂

    I've watched all your vlogs. Loved the Wild Atlantic Way trip (I'm biased as I'm from Dublin!) and enjoyed the Morocco videos too. France seems to get more rain than Ireland!!! Hope the weather improved for you once you got to Italy. Looking forward to seeing Sicily. Been to Pisa years ago on a Honda CX500 Turbo - a little disappointing I have to say. Loved Rome though and stayed a few days there in a camp site on the outskirts of the city. You definitely need to spend a few days in Rome as there are so many sights to visit.

    • @TwoWheeledDreamer
      @TwoWheeledDreamer  7 месяцев назад

      So glad you’re enjoying my vlogs! Pisa is coming up next but it will be a whistle stop visit. I’m finding Italy to be totally magical and could easily spend 12 weeks here rather than 12 days… I remember the CX500; a mate of mine had one, I was very jealous as I was riding around on an RD200 that continually broke down at the time…

    Fantastic infrastructure, beautiful scenery 👌 Would be interesting to hear the total cost of fuel ⛽️ Toll , Food and accommodation.
    Noticed you keep receipts and l find Food prices quite expensive in petrol stations.
    Fantastic Journey 👍

    This is great, Ep.1 just appeared, so I am now following you, I’m planning a similar route in the near future, I’m interested in what you’ve packed, the essentials obviously but I’m always over packing, what decisions did you make re clothing etc. ride safe and thanks for a really interesting episode, looking forward to the next one. Angus

    • @TwoWheeledDreamer
      @TwoWheeledDreamer  7 месяцев назад

      Hi Angus, welcome! I’m so glad you enjoyed it. I always pack as light as I can, with minimal civvie clothes as I spend most of the day in my riding gear! I tend to overpack when it comes to the camping stuff and will be doing a video straight after this trip showing what I take. Thanks for watching! 🙂

    The mileage you do in two days is what I would do in a week. Slow and easy. Take the A roads and wind my way along. True to say, fuel was my biggest expense on long EU trips. Midday stops for fuel and baguette.

    • @TwoWheeledDreamer
      @TwoWheeledDreamer  7 месяцев назад

      Hi Stephen, that sounds like a nice and relaxed way to do it; when I can eventually balance my life more towards touring and a little less towards work, I will approach it more like that… I agree, either way, the fuel is the big hit, especially now, and a midday baguette is essential! Thanks for watching 🙂

    No border checks for Schengen participating EU member states. You're only checked on entry/exit to/from a none participating member state, hence why there was always passport control in and out of the Uk into Europe even before Brexit as we were never a part of the Schengen agreement. Fun fact, Romania and Bulgaria joined in March 2024. All tourists get 90 days of free movement which the Uk still falls under post Brexit. Oh, and loving the videos 👍

    • @TwoWheeledDreamer
      @TwoWheeledDreamer  7 месяцев назад

      Hi Darren, thank you for the explanation, that’s very helpful to know. I did wonder as UK passport holders are shepherded into different queues/booths at airports etc. I’m so glad you are enjoying the videos! 😁

    I just came back from my trip London - Morocco, and back, added almost 5000 miles to the bike, the only way to justify the costs are to classify it as “holiday” budget, comparably its not so bad then 😂 - Ride safe.

    • @TwoWheeledDreamer
      @TwoWheeledDreamer  7 месяцев назад

      It all adds up and viewing it in those terms makes a bit more sense of the expenditure… what a trip though! Thanks for watching and safe travels for you too 😁

    I think ill copy this route in may altho i might do some a roads in france just to break up it up a bit - you might have mentioned before but do you lock up the bike at night and if so what with? Looks like another top ride tho 🎉

    • @TwoWheeledDreamer
      @TwoWheeledDreamer  7 месяцев назад +1

      I enjoyed the route and yes, some A roads would be good to break up the motorway miles. I do lock the bike up at night- at home I use a massive Oxford lock but on the road I take something a bit smaller, it doesn’t seem to be branded but is still pretty thick braided wire wrapped in clear plastic. Been using it for years. Glad you are enjoying the trip so far!! 🙂

    Hi great video thanks for sharing
    Could I ask a question. Your visiting Pisa and Rome. Are you allowed to ride up to Pisa tower on the bike and ride to the coliseum on the bike.
    We're going in June and would love to visit both

      @TwoWheeledDreamer  7 месяцев назад +1
