The instrumentalists involved here are very renowned in Japan. Oyama and Yorita are masters of their craft, while the Kodo group of Sado Island tour internationally. Tokyo Philharmonic themselves need no introduction at that.

damn there's so many good parts i might take a time to do timestamps 0:10 absolutely beautiful intro with the koto and shakuhachi, really brings the "japanese" mood right at the start 1:45 that perfect koto solo with clarinets and bassoon following creating such an atmosphere 3:24 this is suuuch a good transition, the taiko makes a huge impact on our perception of momentum, all of the sudden we're marching with the atmosphere of unknown created by the horns and strings 4:10 i don't even have to say anything, this buildup and climax is just amazing 5:42 marimbas and clarinet intro, ya love to see it, one thing that i really like is that the shamisen really appears here it's such an interesting instrument i hope someday i get to try one of those 6:38 yes shakuhachi again with the melody, really love this instrument sound one of my favorite parts is that whole section 8:24 this back and forth conversation between clarinet and flute is super cool 9:20 this ending with a mix of everything playing the main melody with the french horns(i think) doing the background and leading to the end is just the cherry on top of the cake Really good composition, great musicians and a lot of dedication by everyone involved, and those are just 2 tracks, they recorded a whole lot more and god knows how many days and redos they did, crazy!!
Remember people, all of this is in a free 1 year old game. You can't tell me there's other games other than the ones from mihoyo with such a good OST. Every time I hear it, I don't skip it or finish it quickly, I enjoy the quality. It's a feast for the ears of people with good tastes in video game music.

I can't however, tell you that you're right or wrong. As music is subjective, like many other things. And if you feel nothing beats this work of art (and it is magnificent!) Then that is entirely true for you. Sorry for the pointless comment, Im just as much a fan of this soundtrack as I assume the rest here. But there are many greats! Seriously though, blown away by the magic of these pieces. And the delivery by The Tokyo Philharmonic orchestra and the instrumentalists! Masterful. Wow!

I was a musician myself, played trumpet during my high school and college years.. my love for symphonies and classical music has only grown over the years... I don't play the game, and my son does... he used to hate music and sport, but since he started listening to Genshin Music, he became a music lover himself and now studies piano as his extracurricular.. during our daily drive to school, Genshin music especially Sumeru, Fontaine, and Inazuma are always played among others... and in my own time, I also play these.. like almost everyday... so... thank you soooo muchhhhh...... Yu Peng Chen, Dimeng Yuan, their respective teams... the London and Tokyo symphony orchestra.. everyone who is part of this.. thank you!

As a new player, I never thought that Genshin has this gem. The music lover in me has been so ever grateful for this. My ears has never feasted this much before. The drums and the large flute gave the Japanese vibes. So amazing

Getting a bit of a James Bond feel in some parts of this, but also a bit of a classic Disney film vibe. More than anything this sounds a bit like a love song from an old movie 10 out of 10
