She has to change her performance. I didn't expect the stage to be so dark, because the song itself sounds so positive. I really was expecting some drummers on stage especially during the bridge of the song!
I like this song, but I love Jess. If Australia finish in top 10 or better say top 5 or even win, that will be more because of Jess as a singer and her lovely personality than because of the song itself. Honestly. But all together, I love it. :)
She gets along with wiwibloggs so well lol. Just seems so natural, feels more like you're good friends not just a media interview kinda thing. I'm bit worried for Jess voice, she gives so much energy and it seems like shes going too hard, too soon and its starting to show. Vocally I hope she will be careful taking good care of her voice the next few days. It's good she described the thinking behind the staging, dress, etc. I guess I had a different interpretation of what I imagined it to be, I expected it to be abit more lighter with more shadows like the clip, dancing with different cultures, something like that. The wing/energy neon tube structure when she described it made sense but I get the vibe from the camera angle, the sizing of it compared to the stage doesn’t seem to sit quite right :/. I knew with the staging there had to be some explanation behind it. The dress colours are nice and matches with the stage, I guess the main thing is jess is comfortable and confident dancing it in it, even though it's mainly the length personally I would make it bit longer at least but up to her. Cherography I could tell she was trying to improvise, it seems to have improved guess gotta see the whole preformance to see how it all goes together.
It is a slight disappointment that her staging isn’t at all that GRAND! UK has similar lighting and staging and theirs is effective! Nothing changed from first rehearsal just camera angles changed! Her dress also has not changed... it really isn’t doing anything for her. I feel she has been told to say it’s her dreaming dress, in the aboriginal culture ladies Dreamtime dress is longer! I’m hoping that they have things up their sleeve to change the performance when they get to the final. I mean no doubt she’ll make it through....
Jessica cannot sing live. Like, at all. Sure, she has her moments, but her vocals aren't as good as they used to be. The dress needs to change. The stage presence needs to change. The vocals need to improve. She looks like a pub singer after one too many shots.
