    I thought about the 330 mpx, but too much for me. I just ended up getting the ranger 305g, which also is a great machine. Have done alot of jobs with it, and generated power when we were out for 3 days

    Not a bad idea to use it as a whole house generator! I wish I thought of that!

      At the time, these were only a few hundred more than a 10kw honda gen. Made all the sense over a gen. Also, during power outages, the power quality is good enough to run sensitive electronics. Cheers

    Looks like your doing 6010 first pass then finish with 7018. That's a very nice welder along with cart. 👍

    Can’t believe you can stand next to it and talk that’s unheard of usually with engine drives! So quiet!!!

    • @airframefixer
      @airframefixer  3 года назад +1

      It's really quiet when running 3600rpm, it was at low idle though for the vid.

      That was at idle. When welding, it is much louder, but they presume that you will not be standing next to it and talking while welding. The sound rating is based upon standing 21 feet away.

    Got a plan for the running gear? I'd like to know what you used.

    How do you have the quick connects and the door shut?

    • @airframefixer
      @airframefixer  2 года назад +1

      The terminals are angled downwards, I use dinse 35 connectors on my two other machines, I wanted commonality with holders and work leads.

    You got info on your running gear?

      I didn't take any notes, just built it around the footprint, which is in the manual, and placed the handle where it wouldn't interfere with the doors.

    Anyway you’d be willing to send a copy of that cart prints. That’s exactly what I’m looking to make

    cutting edges should always be welded with 7018 or a stronger rod not 6010 and preheat it before welding

      Just a checking to see if this machine welds 6010 like my 161lts.. there is no need for 6010 here.
      Been beating the hell out of this bucket for two years now. No issues other than im wearing through the lower edge.

    Have ranger newer generation that I'm going to sell having these companies sell machines with intentional failure paint Is joke both linclon n Kohler linclon there board problems n Kohler for unnecessary designs suck being a moblie welder n having dumb issues with designs being the problem so far miller has been working out for me so I'm sticking to that now

    • @mikecubes1642
      @mikecubes1642 Год назад

      they want you to have to buy a new machine just after the warranty runs out, the new kohler engines are garbage but the government forced them to be used instead of the onan performer engines because of the hoax about emissions. buy an old SA-200
