I agree with you on the darker visors. I have the grey K6 with the blue visor. I struggle every time I take the visor off and on.
This is my ver first helmet and I noticed that the padding wears quickly too. I am at the point of either replacing the padding or getting a different helmet and I have had it for a year now. I do not over wash the padding. I have hand washed them only 2 times and still they are good for a week then go back to the way they were prior to being washed. Disappointed in the padding. I am new to riding and maybe I have the wrong thoughts of how they should wear in? Don't know. Just what I have noticed while owning the helmet.
    Great video.

@@summerdream2366 Again it might be me just being a new rider and not knowing any better, But I do not have the tight fit I use to have the first month I owned it in 2021. I understand padding breaks in and that is fine, but this is acting like it wore out. I had a Staff member at the store work with me for 1.5 hours trying to find a helmet that would be best for me and this is the one we settled on. When I move my jaw side to side I feel hard pressure, not padding pressure. Maybe I am just to oily/sweat a lot, not sure but I ordered a new helmet and should be getting it this week. Once I get it and I ride with it a bit, I will be making a compare video of it to the K6. I do not want to say the helmet right now until I get it and give it a try and hope I didn't make a mistake haha.

I am glad I am not alone as far as struggling to install the blue visor. 😂 Great to know about the padding ! To tell you the truth, I never wash them but instead every year (after the season is over) I put the pads into the dryer (with the steam cycle or a wet towel to provide some moisture) with some Downie sheets and it seems to work well. 🙏

I have a K5S which I love, its so light and the scuplted chin seems to deflect wind really well along with a strong neck roll pad so its super quiet..for me only the Shoei Rf-1400 and Scorpion R1 Air come close (own those as well). I am thinking about getting this more toruing oriented K6S tor my partner who is a more casual rider but we do some touring together as well (we just compete coast to coast USA trip along the I40 with Shark Evo ES flip chin helmets with Sena Comms fitted which did the job well but are a bit noisy). Anyhow, thanks for the review it helped clarify a couple things for me. Even with the screen connection issue it seems like a great option.

i dont think that is a design issue, i have no issues swapping dark visors on my K6 compared to my shoei NXR. I do agree it requires a little bit more fidling with the K6, but we are talking seconds here, and i have swapped visors on the K6 many, many times. The lowest visor possition on the K6 is blody awesome btw, much better than Shoei's. On the K6 the lower poss means juuuust right amount of airflow at city / country rode speeds.

Airflow is directly related to overall quietness......you can have 1 or the other but not both.......I have an HJC RPHA that flows tons of air.....its a summer helmet, the AGV would be winter where I done need air but being quiet is nice
The shield latch doesn't bother me as I don't change them often anyway and pretty mechanically inclined so am sure once you get used to it it's fine.....
    Love the styling of AGV

    • @WindyTherapy

Good video but not a fan of buying a helmet online. Fit and shape is so so important to comfort and safety, especially on long trips and on high speeds.
I buy a ton of stuff from Fortnine for my customers, but I would never get a lid from them or any other site. It's good to support to your local shop on these things, otherwise they'll stop bothering to carry a vast number of options, and we lose out more than anyone else does.

I just got this one and my issue is with the opening/closing the visor. I press the button and nothing happens. Is it supposed to do that?
I can hold down the button and pull it up it, then it goes into the 'cracked position' (still locked in but a little open), then must do that AGAIN to actually open it.
Thats VERY difficult to do with
    a) one hand and

I intially liked the 2 different locking mechanisms it had so it can lock in a cracked open position. But when I put it on it proved to be finicky to open because of that but maybe it just takes getting used to. So if I get the Shoei I hope that the top head area breaks in for me a little more since it is tighter than the others. I don't like that it might not stay cracked open at higher speeds but maybe the good venting will make up for that. If you haven't tried the RF-1400 it would be good to see your thoughts on it. I have often hear people speaking English as a second language say "how it looks like" and I have to point out the word "like" means you're comparing it to something so it is WHAT it looks like. As if it looks like something other than it, like the K6 looks like the K5s.. That's WHAT it looks LIKE.. Or you can simply tell us how it looks. It looks good or bad, is how but something can't look like how.

Yeah good point on the lack of air getting inside. Most of my helmets have gaping areas that need to be addressed lol. I ride with my visor a little bit open as well so no issues with the venting for me. I think it looks good 👍. I remember having a problem with installing my smoke colored shield with my old hjc helmet. I see your point and frustration. Why would AGV do that other than to keep another company from making a knock off visor?
Too late you’ve been nagging since about 4 minutes in lol 😂.
Oh dammit well great review sorry about the hassle with the visor

Great presentation on your point of view. Nothing worse after spending a good chunk of cash on a helmet and have it damaged as you install the visor. Still looks great though.
