It was my privilege to have had Marcus Borg as my Major professor at Oregon State University. He opened my eyes to a profound outlook on Jesus and the Bible. If only he were still here and writing new books and delivering new lectures...

I miss Dr. Borg. He was one of the people whose influence helped me break free from the legalistic, literal reading of the Bible.

As always, an amazing, engaging speaker - however, is it just me, or does it sound like his pulmonary fibrosis was catching up with him? He seemed to wheeze a bit more than in his 2013 presentations.

Such courage! I expect he knew he didn't have long to share his ideas!
