hey Thanks for taking the time for doing the video very informative. I'm getting ready to go ahead and tackle the task of replacing the belt on my 94 explorer I have one quick question if you don't mind.. Obviously I have some squeeling going on from the belt now, what I'm wondering is,if I change out.. just the belt,.. is it possible that after the replacement is complete,.. that I will still have some possible squeeling,say...maybe sooner than expected than if it would if I went ahead and changed all 3, the belt, the tensioner, and the idler puley ? Whats your thoughts on that sir..?
@@tony69em good afternoon there sir and thanks for feedback Fortunately, I was successful with the replacing of just the belt few months ago...and so far so good...and no squeeling as of yet...so. I'm content with that..:) maybe i ask alil too many questions for an Active& UP & Coming DIY'er... but thats how I like to learn/process new info. I like to practice being detailed & thorough beyond the average joe in anything & everything I do..and with that...comes asking all types of EXTRA questions ..;) Either way it goes...maybe guy is too busy too answer or chooses not to on certain types of questions like what I asked. Regardless ..i appreciate the positive I received from video and am grateful for knowledge he made avail I try to take what good one can ,and leave rest behind .have a great day
Just seen in comments he passed away It is sad to see good people move on :( bless him on his journey and thanks for keeping his knowledge/spirit alive thru videos.
@@Elschism I have an 04 that needs the belt replaced and I'm looking to see if there is a way to do it without removing the fan. I like your reply. It kinda reminds me of myself. Always gotta ask more questions. 👍
I'm so sorry to hear of your husband's passing. His video is helping me greatly while I am currently stranded in a parking lot trying to replace my serpentine. When I finally make it back home, I will be sure to raise my glass to him. Takes a really nice and caring guy to take the time to make a video to help people like myself. I know you must miss him terribly. I hope you are coping well. Much love to you and your family.
im doing the same repair on my explorer tomorrow, I have saved this video to be my guide through the process. I am sorry for your loss. I thought it might bring you comfort to know that this video he made is still helping folks to get things done. from all the way down in AZ, many thanks and god bless.
@@figibloom I'm so sorry to hear that... Please, next time you "talk" to him, let him know that his video is GREATLY APPRECIATED ❤️❤️ I've watched several of these videos on this matter and his is by far the most helpful with all the details and effort that he put in to actually teaching someone how to do this. This is the very first video I've seen from him. He seemed like a great man... You truly have my sincerest condolences. ❣️✌️🙏
I did my spark plugs not to long ago on my explorer and I tried to make a video but it ended up taking me so long that my video messed up. So I just kinda did an overview and I showed the trick to changing them out. The drivers side is straight forward but the passenger side you go through the wheel well to change that side. Here is my video on that ruclips.net/video/jduym1Sog5E/видео.html Thanks for watching and thanks for the comment. Have a good day.
doing the spark plugs isn't hard in these bad boys.. I have a 93 manual. the only shitty part is getting the one on the passenger side that's hidden. Everyone said you needed to take the tire off to get to it (which would make it a little more accessible) but if you have extensions for your ratchet, you'll be able to reach it just fine.
Thank you for this thorough guide. Rest in peace 🙏
Thanks for watching his video.
Such an EXCELLENT VIDEO. May his soul rest in peace.
Thank you so much. And thanks for watching!
great video, thanks for the torque specs which I could not find anywhere.

Man been a while since I seen your Explorer videos, I put my SOHC to the side for a V8 swap this winter, and got a 2000 with the 5.0 in it.

Why you changed the idle and tensioner pulleys when you replace the serpentine belt. Thank you for your prompt response.

Every explorer from these years has duct tape on the vac hose lmao. if it works right?
What size ratchet dude
Now, I understand why many engines went to compact electric fans. They are out of the way compared to mechanical fans.
