I don't think you need a fast monitor to benefit from NVIDIA reflex. The most important factor in reducing latency between when you click and hit your target is your GPU in this context. It will be displayed more slowly with a slower monitor, but your PC doesn't wait for your monitor to display to register the hit.
Well depending on what settings u play, the hardware and how many frames u get. They compare it to 60fps... in reality it's a difference of maybe 1-5ms.

In csgo when you peak by your right side, you will see the enemy more than them if they were on the left side, it isnt a reflex feature, its just a csgo thing, i Guess you'll just be able to react faster, but against good players if you peak by your left, you're dead before you see the enemy

I turned it off for now. When enabled, it was immediately noticeable to me that the input on my mouse became worse. I haven't tested enabled+boost...but you can simply try it out, go up against bots and watch the reactions of your mouse.
Reflex + Ultra is still super laggy. Just use Reflex + GSync (Vertical Sync enabled) + Framelimit (lower than your HZ) after this game feels so much smooth

Have to take into account the server tickrate (16 to 64 ticks) and latency (10 to 100+ ms). All this is fantastic and true for SINGLE PLAYER, but in ONLINE MULTIPLAYER GAMES the server IS and ALWAYS will be the bottleneck.
I won't say this is a BS, but people's biggest problems are pings that they can't do anything about it. that input latency in the video from 16-57 ms gained by additional hundreds of FPS can't do anything to reduce the ping time which is about 90 ms with me

cap your fps and you won't need nvidia reflex for latency because it only improves on framerates that are not constant. I personally cap my framerate to something that is above my monitors refresh rate and that i can still easily achieve with almost no dips below that framerate. I use a 1440p 165hz panel and cap my fps to 300. I get minimal latency, use less power so the energy bill will be lower and the gpu is more efficient decreasing the heat in your whole system. Also the higher the achievable framerate you cap it at the less latency you get but at at least 300 fps you'll get deminishing return meaning that it's not really worth capping your framerate any higher if your panel already is below 200hz. CAP YOUR FPS IF YOU HAVE ENOUGH
This is actually smart I've done it before but I always love to mess around with settings and see how high my pc can get so I end up removing the cap lol

Would really like to see more latency measurments from nvidias side. There are many people out there claiming that certain settings, debloating windows etc. would decrease lag, but nobody properly tested it. Please Nvidia, publish a list of windows tweaks that claim to reduce lag. We need some mythbusting!
low latency worked wonders for me both in csgo & cs2. About reflex, above 300fps in cs2 I can only feel more input lag with it turned on. If you have a lower end gpu, enabled+boost seems to be a smart choice, paired with vsync or undervolting your gpu so you dont have throttle issues/stutter for the timebeing(its the games fault in this case) in the case of mid/high end gpus, just leave it off for the timebeing, as it adds A TON of input lag.

About vsync, it caps your fps rate to 60fps ( in a simple explanation) so if you have any monitor over 60hz refresh rate you will feel that difference, you can just turn it off at this time hope this helped you :)

360hz is a very small portion of the playerbase. Use 144, 240 and 360 hz with reflex on and off and never use 60fps no one plays competetive games in 60 fps. The difference in system latency between 144Hz and 360Hz is approximately 4ms. This is if under both circumstances your system is running with uncapped frames. For latency reduction with a 144Hz monitor, I would recommend uncapping your frame rate.

I have 5950x and 3080 but for some reason i tried ultra mode on my cousins pc with intel cpu and it was blazingly crisp. Try with my pc and it feels laggy sometimes. Maybe it doesnt work well with amd cpu?
@Spectru91 After using many amd cpus, I have to agree with you. Gaming performance will always be more optimized on Intel. My cousins i7 3070 feels a lot more smoother than my setup. When in theory mine should out perform his. Def going for Intel next time.

It's normal for Reflex to reduce performance by a little. 100% GPU utilization causes an increase in latency so Reflex will keep it a little below that. You're basically trading some frames for lower latency.

@Spectru91 After using many amd cpus, I have to agree with you. Gaming performance will always be more optimized on Intel. My cousins i7 3070 feels a lot more smoother than my setup. When in theory mine should out perform his. Def going for Intel next time.

welp this is BS because nvidia reflex turned on in cs2 produces more misses as confirmed by literally everyone actually playing the game

Reflex ON + Boost gives me about -30 fps.
nvidia recomends just ON (without the boost)
It's normal for Reflex to reduce performance by a little. 100% GPU utilization causes an increase in latency so Reflex will keep it a little below that. You're basically trading some frames for lower latency.

I use On, works great. Doesn't matter in games with Reflex enabled since it overrides it.
