In Oz if you get the chance, fly the Dash 8 Qantaslink flight from Cairns to Hamilton Island. Lower altitude means you get to see the Great Barrier Reef (sit on the left) for much of the flight. Bangunan nenek moyangmu udh di bumi hanguskan milisi dan TNI th 1999. Kamu tahu nggk ?? Setelah di tinggalkan Indonesia mayoritas warga Dili tinggal di bawah tenda. Jadi kita hrus memulai membngun kmbali kita Dili dr puing2 ... pelabuhan yg mna maksud elu yg di bangun Indonesia ? Pelabuhan Portugis sekrg hnya dipake utk kapal penumpang. Kita udh membngun pelabuhan bertaraf internasional di tibar. Waktu indonedia hnya mempunyai 1 bandara TPI sekrg Timor Leste mempunyai 3 bandara internasional bang. Jalan hotmix dg lebar 8 meter udh menghubungkan semua kabupaten. Jangan heran dg luas wilayah yg kecil dg populasi hnya 1,3 jt jiwa pemerintah Timor Leste menganggarkan $ 2,4 milyar (sekitar Rp 40 triliun) setiap tahun nya.

Another great video from the far reaches of the globe. Those little kids were so amazing, even they know that your only 1 of 9 others who look like they are from out of town. They reminded me of kids from the 1960's when kids were allowed to play outside with other kids and have fun. The motel was nice and had that nice island vibe to it.

I frequently travelled to Dili back in 2005-2011 as part US Congress Inter Parliamentary program/funds to rebuild and support Timor Lest Parliament's library.
I always preferred the Esplanada Hotel to the Hotel Timor, altough the later hotel is just 5 minutes walk to the Parliament building.
Back then, the rooms in Esplanada were made from stacked 40ft containers. It looks much nicer now. I recalled there were no fridge, tv, water dispenser. Just the very basic: bed, aircon, table and bathroom.
But I love the lounge/resto on the 2nd floor above the lobby. Good food and great view to the ocean.

The last time I saw Dili was during the troubles, as in IT contractor for one of the many non gov orgs working in the region, arrived on the HMAS Jervis Bay, flew out on a Canadian operated Hercules, but even then the locals were very friendly. Great to see them moving ahead, (was the bridge completed yet??)
