Living on the other side of the country from family and trying to catch the kids up on appointments from not being treated correctly by their parents, as well as going to school ourselves and trying to get settled into our wanted careers just leaves no time or money to consider having more. Most of us don't even take care of ourselves the way we should or can't afford to, so having kids in this economy is on the backburner for most.

It is and you should never date or have absolutely anything to do with a woman that has kids other wise they’ll be sure to tear your life apart in one way or another.
I never questioned the idea that one day I'd get married and have children until I met someone who felt very strongly about NOT having kids. It was just kind of something that has been expected of me since I was little but now I agree with your views. The world is such a dangerous place and if it dies, I don't think I could take that. I don't think I could cope with having a kid that has a genuine mental handicap either and you never know. And to be completely honest, I didn't even like kids when I was still a kid.
You're retired video is basically my thoughts. I am 36 and I still don't have it together. On top of that I Come From A Dysfunctional Family. I rather not continue the blood line.
Having kids is a big commitment and many people tend to overlook that. It’s a human that you’re essentially raising that will take many years to be able to function on their own and be able to understand how to be apart of a society unless if you hate people. I understand raising a child can be filled with unpredictable experiences no matter how prepared you are but the least you can do is putting thought into.
Having kids seems like a really big gamble. Something that can either be the most rewarding and fulfilling thing you can do in your life, or the worst regret ever. So I agree with you. If you don't mind me asking, how do you tag your videos btw? I was thinking about releasing some similar content in terms of "play game, talk life."
I don't want to have kids either, I'd maybe adopt, but I can't really justify bringing a child into this world that I'm not happy with myself. Knowing things are getting worse too. And I think there's already so many kids that need a home. I'd much rather adopt.
I always tell myself there is a difference between a “want” and a “need”. I “want” kids and “want” a wife. However, I don’t “need” kids or “need” a wife.
I feel pretty much the same and for basically the same reasons man, except for the health insurance part since I'm from the great white north hehe. Great stuff as usual and I'm glad you had an awesome weekend!
As a 28 year old man, I have personally never wanted to have biological offspring, nor have a serious commitment to looking after babies, children, or teens. In recent years, though, I've basically become an 'antinatalist', and so I have a huge ethical/moral opposition to bringing a new sentient life into this cycle of inherent suffering and death. I don't want to basically gamble with a life that won't be my own and the risks or harms that come with it. Yes, there are pleasures and joys in life, but they're not equally guaranteed for everyone; and non-existent beings can not be deprived of such things. They don't need joys or pleasures. There's no guarantee that my potential offspring would be healthy, intelligent and reasonably happy, or content with being brought into existence in the first place (consent is impossible).
As a 23 year old I'm 100% literally and figuratively not having kids at all it's 2 dangerous to be having kids in 2024, especially in the US. I rather go kids less for the rest of life and just enjoy life 2 da max

Glad you had a great weekend bro! I always think about having kids and I think I really do want them, but like you said it’s incredibly expensive, time consuming, and stressful to how things are gonna pan out. The reason I don’t want to have kids, is bec, well it’s quite expensive, even I’m been living alone for almost a year now, ik how expensive it can be, even it’s just me alone and bec since I had been growing up with 3 other little brothers, I simply don’t want to repeat that…
Honestly, my daughter is due in April and I’m so excited and proud of her already! I came from a family with loving siblings but a really crappy and abusive dad and I fully intend to break the cycle. However due to how I and many others were raised I respect your decision to not have children; it really isn’t for everyone and it’s better to be self aware and know what you want/don’t want rather than have a kid because it’s what everyone else around you is doing. Even though I fear for the world my child is going to grow up in, I know my wife and I will do our best and that we will always put our faith in the Lord. Thanks for the video and for providing a space for dudes to vent and share about life!
I don’t see the point currently either, especially since plenty of people are still having kids. If declining birthrates are truly an issue in certain countries which I doubt is as serious as it’s made out to be. A practical solution would be to encourage immigration. People from more religious regions tend to have larger families, so bringing them to specific areas could help sustain those countries’ systems. Plus, if you’ve got spicy genetics, it could mean spicy kids but even then, it’s not for everyone. In the end, natural selection will take its course. 🤷♂️
I think people who have kids don’t want to be truthful about their experiences, obviously you can’t say you hate your kids or regret having them but raising a kid in today’s times can’t be easy.. i. Have friends who have kids & they always push me to also make kids lol

I have too many problems and even though I've gotten better, each time I start to have a savings account finally starting something happens to drain it back dry. No way I'm having a kid in this economy even if I do meet a girl I'd want one with. I just hope I can get a decent savings built up before something major happens.
I only got a vasectomy around 27ish y.o. because that's the youngest age the fucking doctor would do it. Otherwise I would have had a vasectomy when I was fucking TEN years old. Having children is for narcissists.
With how expensive life is, how expensive food has become, not to mention rent, mortgages, land taxes, bills, gas, just everything in-between? I feel like it would be selfish to bring a child into the world when that child would likely struggle. I'd want to make sure that kid went to a damn good school, the best education, a safe neighbourhood. Enrol them into activities, if they show interest, and be able to play video games together, watch movies, play sports, all that wicked shit we did in the 80's and 90's. I just wouldn't be able to afford a fraction of that life for my kid. They'd be miserable, or I would feel like a failure for not giving them the life I feel they deserve. Until shit improves? Having kids is off the table.
Even if I was financially stable, I probably wouldn’t either. In today’s world, having a kid is a large responsibility. People from the 50s and 60s talk about it like it’s having a pet. As long as they have food, clothes and a place to sleep, that’s all they need.
I used to want kids, even thought of names for them. The economy is the main reason, along with all the BS I’ve had to go through, I just don’t want to bring anyone into this world. The upcoming Population Collapse worries me for the future of the world, among other things. I’m big on my ancestory and it really grinds my gears thinking about all that my ancestors went through just to get to me here not wanting to carry on because of stupid money reasons. Do you know how many good people fear death and don’t speak on it. Why would anyone bring a soul down here to endure the constant contemplation of death, since it’s so taboo to speak on openly. And people wonder why folks who seem to have the “perfect life” commit themselves back into the void without an explanation. People are too selfish to truly understand that fact.
I definitely am not prepared whatsoever to have kids for a while, but maybe in the future I might. Frankly, I would do it because I want to be the father that I didn’t have.
Gotta say i didnt plan on it & while i love mine, you lose so much freedoms. Even the simple idea of worling 12 hours and saying, all i want to do is sleep until i go back to work is taken awayand i dont think im asking for the world
The only way and I mean the only way I'll even consider having just one kid is if a LOT of factors are checked off in my life mentally, spiritually, and financially. Other than that- nah, nope, hell no.
I dont want kids because somewhere I believe the society is going down the drains plus who wants that extra burden considering we are already so stressed out
It took me five years of thinking, calculating and planning before I decided to have a kid. It's not an easy decision, give time and see what works for you. As for the cost, you're just in the wrong country man. Since birth till now two years, I paid around 1300 usd in medical bills, including 1100 on the first week. Ths US is insane, 100k is theft.
Same here. Except I'm doing pretty well financially, bought a car and a home all within a year. And I still dont want kids. I love my freedom and gaming time. My wife works from home, she doesnt bother me like you see generic wives/girlfriends on tiktok do, and she enjoys watching me play games. We're both in our 30s. She gets the urges of wanting kids at times, but i immediately shut that thought down, LOL. If it happens by mistake though, then oh well 🤷♂️
Kids are expensive, even though i would love to share my love with my kids, i would not make children, because it takes a woman for me to live with for the rest of my life, i been in 2 serious relationships, the first for 8 years, the second for 7 years, Im.28 now, and i learned a lot from my 2 relationships, not for me, My first was from 12 till 20, secondfrom 21 till 28, i am now 28, and boy im glad i learned how women are.😂😂😂
@@AmaryxGamesYT I totally agree with you. I just noticed that you mentioned how if an individual wants to avoid having a family, that it is a selfish approach. I can see the argument for this from a natalist point of view, however, overall, you are helping humanity by not procreating at all. All lives have some sort of suffering to them and it only manifests itself if the birth takes place. If anything, most people procreate for selfish reasons and as you mentioned, to pass on a "legacy" of some sort. Others use their children as weapons/trophies to be had to manipulate other people. When you see humanity for what it really is, antinatalism becomes more and more rational unfortunately.

5:21 Yeah, I'm also confused on why people want other people to have kids because believe it or not, them having kids also affects them. Y'know, the kids need their food, their water, clothes, electricity for entertainment, all while they will never give those resources back so why do they want everyone to have a whole bunch of kids?
Its really just a matter of 2 things: 1. having a supportive and loyal girl by your side 2. having lots of money If one of these is missing i dont plan to get kids in the bear future
This mindset is part of the problem, and says a lot about the kind of guys who think it's a matter of "getting" the right girl. Being an emotionally mature/available person who can reasonably empathize with and bond with your kid(s) in the first place is very important, but it often gets left out of the equation. If you desire children for mere the sake of having children, and haven't considered what their place in the world will be, or how you'll be able to help them grow, then you don't want children - you want an accessory.
I want kids but also don’t want kids One reason for having kids is to leave some kind of legacy, sure. And on the other hand, I don’t want kids for some the reasons you mentioned but also having a bad significant other even before having kids
i personally can't understand not wanting kids, but if you don't want kids i wouldn't want you to have kids because that would be bad for the kid and you. so i wouldn't push you to want kids

Remember that bear in Narnia’s backstory ?
@@XboxSpecialist I don’t remember that, but I just mean I don’t have anyone who I would want to raise kids with. My expectations are someone nice, cute (5-7), and not emotionally unstable. Beyond that, I think I’d rather focus on growing myself and becoming a better, wiser person.

We could use our money (that we don't need) to donate to poor orphans. I do think that can be a substitute.
My wife and I have custody of two of our nieces and have no thoughts of having our own anytime.
Finding a single woman without kids is becoming very rare these days
Getting into a financial situation where you're financially attractive to women is also harder.
yeah maybe if you’re going for washed up 30 year olds
but its not at all impossible, there's still a good chuck of women of there that's young and single with no kids. you're probably just looking at the wrong place
@@YuriSmithi never said it was lol
It is and you should never date or have absolutely anything to do with a woman that has kids other wise they’ll be sure to tear your life apart in one way or another.
I never questioned the idea that one day I'd get married and have children until I met someone who felt very strongly about NOT having kids.
It was just kind of something that has been expected of me since I was little but now I agree with your views. The world is such a dangerous place and if it dies, I don't think I could take that. I don't think I could cope with having a kid that has a genuine mental handicap either and you never know. And to be completely honest, I didn't even like kids when I was still a kid.
Same, im 26 too and I agree. Im too focused on surviving in this economy than being able to raise a child.
I feel the same way. I'm only 19 but still
You're retired video is basically my thoughts.
Humans are sentencing their children to death. That’s sadistic.
I feel the same I don't want kids too
Having kids seems like a really big gamble. Something that can either be the most rewarding and fulfilling thing you can do in your life, or the worst regret ever. So I agree with you.
If you don't mind me asking, how do you tag your videos btw? I was thinking about releasing some similar content in terms of "play game, talk life."
I don't tag my videos. I just upload them. RUclips algorithm does wonders sometimes lol
@@AmaryxGamesYT thanks man! may the RUclips algorithm continue to bring you many blessings
Your life? What about the child that you created that you are supposed to raise.
Thank you! Good Health insurance is a bitch to afford for one person. Let alone an entire family 😂
@@AmaryxGamesYT yeah can't imagine how costly it must be hahaha
The only thing I'm having is pizza

Just stumbled upon this channel in my feed. First one I watched was your video about jobs.
I have to say, your content especially with OG MW3 gameplay in the background feels like a 2010 CoD commentator “let’s shoot the shiii for 7-10 minutes with CoD in the background” No rage bait, maybe some cod news here and there and just interesting topics.
Keep it up.
kids will always be underrated. if you can't have/raise them, that's okay.
Glad you had a great weekend bro! I always think about having kids and I think I really do want them, but like you said it’s incredibly expensive, time consuming, and stressful to how things are gonna pan out. It’s a leap of trust you just gotta have if you’re in the position to start having kids. I for one am not at that point yet but I feel like I will be someday
Yeah it was awesome and you're not wrong. Right now, I'm definitely not in a position to have kids but thankfully as a man. You can have them later in life if you want too. I guess time will only tell!
For me there is tons of reasons for not having kids. I’m 43 years old and I don’t regret not having kids. Luckily, this is one of those Things my wife and I agree. So I’m cool…people looks me weird, but hey…I don’t give a frak
There's A Evil World we living in,to have kids to terrible.
Always wanted to raise a family, but that is becoming more and more of a distant dream. This seriously has me reconsidering my life goals.
Same reason I’m not having kids
I think people who have kids don’t want to be truthful about their experiences, obviously you can’t say you hate your kids or regret having them but raising a kid in today’s times can’t be easy.. i. Have friends who have kids & they always push me to also make kids lol

First video I’ve seen from you, great topic, it helped me gain some new insights about why I don’t want kids myself.
I've felt the exact same way for years now, pissed my dad off something fierce since he really wanted grandkids but I really just don't want to have a kid
i wouldn't want to have kids because the way i was raised and the stuff i do is just not what i would wish on any kid and hearing about lots of things happening to children just makes me bitter. i don't want to go through that hardship

I have too many problems and even though I've gotten better, each time I start to have a savings account finally starting something happens to drain it back dry. No way I'm having a kid in this economy even if I do meet a girl I'd want one with. I just hope I can get a decent savings built up before something major happens.
I'm 29 and feel the same. Honestly, I'm likely going to get a vasectomy when I turn 30.
I only got a vasectomy around 27ish y.o. because that's the youngest age the fucking doctor would do it. Otherwise I would have had a vasectomy when I was fucking TEN years old.
Having children is for narcissists.
There was a comment here saying “it’s overrated” 💀💀💀
I am a teacher. Been teaching since 2011 and I don’t want kids lol. School is brutal
My brothers doing better than I am but we both still rely on our mom to bust us out of crippling debt every now and then, so I can’t even imagine having a kid. But like I said he’s doing better so at least someone can carry on the bloodline :/
I’ve watched a few of your videos over the past week or so and I really feel for you bro because I can relate. So I subbed, will be waiting for more stories or whatever you make

Don't forget the small chance that your kid could end up being born with disabilities that make them a burden for the rest of your/their life

Arguably, procreation is more selfish than abstaining.
I think it's more selfish to have kids when they're not fit for it. Too many people set their kids up for failure
How the world and life is going not having kids right now its the best thing honestly
Hey. It's your decision, my gaming brother. Too bad the earlier generations screwed up the economy to not make it happen. As if this situation occurred by design ....
I appreciate that! Thank you!
Someone else said it but I stand with what they said, this video doesn’t seem so much that you don’t want them but that is it damn near impossible to have them in todays times.
I'm 30 and i want to have kids with a nice lady you know, and i'm lucky to live in Norway.
Only fears i have is turning into my father if i have a boy who acts out/develop bad behavior downstream from my non professional child raising skills.
I would need a strong woman to counterbalance the rough days.
When I was 20 I thought that. But now I’m 30 and my 3rd kid is about to be born and I couldn’t imagine my life without my kids. I still get time to game. In fact I beat more games now than I did before I had kids. I just wake up really early and game for a few hours. Parenting is exhausting but kids are the light of this dark world we live in.
5:21 Yeah, I'm also confused on why people want other people to have kids because believe it or not, them having kids also affects them. Y'know, the kids need their food, their water, clothes, electricity for entertainment, all while they will never give those resources back so why do they want everyone to have a whole bunch of kids?
Its really just a matter of 2 things:
1. having a supportive and loyal girl by your side
2. having lots of money
If one of these is missing i dont plan to get kids in the bear future
No.1 is almost impossible in these times
@@Earlx3n_shorts and the second practically too ajaj
This mindset is part of the problem, and says a lot about the kind of guys who think it's a matter of "getting" the right girl. Being an emotionally mature/available person who can reasonably empathize with and bond with your kid(s) in the first place is very important, but it often gets left out of the equation. If you desire children for mere the sake of having children, and haven't considered what their place in the world will be, or how you'll be able to help them grow, then you don't want children - you want an accessory.
I want kids but I'm nervous about having them, especially a daughter.
Me and my lady don't want no CHAPS were still kids ourselves
I want kids but also don’t want kids
One reason for having kids is to leave some kind of legacy, sure.
