Man, you sparked some emotions in me while telling your story…
It’s such a weird feeling going from being a kid where your parents and role models all seem like super heroes, to becoming an adult and seeing a different side of them.
Thanks for sharing your story, it was really touching!

On point. Some parents think they can just use "we're family" as a get-out-of-jail-free card. No, they're adults, too. They are responsible for their own actions and the consequences that come with them

I can relate. Back when my mom was killing herself with 2 jobs, out of her 3sons, I was the only one who would help her with her 2nd job but no matter what, it was never enough that she had to let me know; for whatever reason, that she wished for a different son, straight to my face. Took me a while to react. But something Ill never forgot.

Wow, brother, I'm truly sorry your parents did all that to you. I have problems with my parents as well, to the point where I'm also now leaving the nest at 21 to better my life and be my own man. It may be hard out there, but at this point I would rather take that than stay with them.

Man it really drives me mad when people do that to people they're supposed to love unconditionally like it's not that hard to be kind it usually costs nothing depending on how you want to show it of course. I'm grateful that you didn't become jaded about life or family after your experience. my dad has a hard time trusting me to make my own decisions. But he won't always be here and I need to be able to be self sufficient. He's stubborn at times but still open for the most part.

Dang bro I felt this. Had an ex that had an alcohol addiction and saw the true reality of what alcohol can do to a person. She eventually ended up quitting drinking because of a drastic life event. But it wasn’t because of the pain she was causing to everyone else. You see a side of someone that sticks with you forever. I will forever have sympathy for those who are on the other end of any relationship with someone with an alcohol addiction. Great video🙏

You’re honestly my favourite RUclipsr man. I just found your channel a few days ago and it’s been a long time since I’ve listened to someone that’s genuine, authentic and keeps things real. You have a good heart and it’s been a long time since the old days of RUclips when people would just sit and talk over some gameplay. Really brings me back and I really missed this kind of content. Keep up the great work man. Also I’m sorry this stuff happened to you. Keep on grinding and pursuing your dreams in life 🙏

This video resonated with me. My relationship with my family isn’t bad per say. What you said in the video as i gotten older i started to see some wrongs in my family. I can still rely on some of my family but at the same time my relationship with my family is tricky. Like i said my family isn’t bad they help me pay for therapy and food and stuff i need to survive and do good in life which i’m thankful for. Sadly there is stuff that needs to be fixed too.
And i am sorry you can’t work things for your family. i’m wishing the best for you brother 💙
Off topic. Your videos have been helping me relax and my mental health a bit. i’m currently on my journey on improving mental health and mental being too. So these videos are therapy to me as well. I love your videos dude keep them up 🔥

Hey great video. Maybe you say this at the end and I haven’t got there, but it’s possible, depending on the state you’re in, that you can get low cost or free therapy. In my state if you earn below a certain amount you can qualify for state health insurance, and then therapy sessions do not cost anything. You probably already looked into that, but I figured I’d mention it just in case you hadn’t. And I’m sorry to hear about you family, that sucks what happened 😔
Edit: I mention this because you talked about the cost of therapy being out of reach, which happens a lot. It can get expensive.

I totally know where you’re coming from here’s what happened to me.
I was the black sheep of the family and was treated like shit. I was told that I wouldn’t amount to shit. My dad was narcissistic as well, he would go on to gamble away our house, open cell phone accounts in my name, have an affair that gave birth to a new kid and even almost have me killed (a story for another time). Anyway I cut them and my entire family off. I would come to find out that he was my biological father which was the best news I’ve ever had. I now own a house, my wife was a former model and my kid is a genius. On top of that we inherited an ass ton so now I’m wealthier then them as well. When I did reunite with my stepdad, siblings, and other family members after 8 years of separation, they were shook and hating, so much to the point they don’t speak to me 😂😂😂 anyway my point is if your “family” is toxic ditch em, life will get better y’all.
P.S. you a cool cat subscribe to this man y’all!!

  • @RawLensGaming
    @RawLensGaming 3 дня назад

Wow dude, when you left that comment about what your parents did to you, I was really curious what you meant and how it all happened. That’s just terrible man, I don’t even know what to say. I’m blessed to have had a very good mom who has always supported and taken care of me. My dad left 5 years ago, long after my parents divorce, after he’d had another kid with my stepmom. But nothing since then, idk what’s up with him. Nobody, not even his own family knows where he is, might even be dead. Because a private investigator they hired couldn’t find him.
Anyway, I think you made the right decision in distancing yourself from your family. It can be hard to do, but really our parents are just people, they aren’t us, they aren’t our entire lives and we aren’t there’s. I haven’t seen my dad in a long, long time. Most days I never even consider his existence. At the end of the day cultivating a good relationship, and friendship with yourself is what’s most important and productive to your overall happiness, health, and well being. Great video as always.

Guitar is the best therapy. Been playing for 20 years. Do actual "therapy" at your own discretion. In my opinion, its a scam. Paying someone to "listen" who doesn't actually care at the end of their shift at the office doesn't sound great to me. Plus you might end up "depressed" and forfeit your 2A.
