Another owner of the 55 inch model of this TV. Its very good, we got it to replace an old TV that died in the bedroom, and it has a really great picture. Audio was the most surprising part - you wont need a soundbar with this one, though if you are using it as your main room tv you might still want to get something more audiophile, but its more than passible - its actually good. Compared to my main TV, which is a 2 year old 85 inch Sony X90H which is a FALD display, the picture is on the new TCL is brighter and the colors pop more, the motion handling seems surprisingly similar (though its possible that test conditions might show otherwise) and the movie modes compare well. The Sony has superior up sampling of non HD TV channels (they are wizards at making that low rez stuff look great), and a smidge better natural skin tones. However the blooming on the Sony is quite noticeable when the conditions for that present, and the TCL is almost invisible, to the point where you could say that you never notice it or at least its so subtle that it doesn't make itself known for normal watching. Audio wise the TCL is a clear winner, that big sony tv I have desperately needs a sound bar, and just doesn't provide anything close to a cinematic or even decent level of sound quality, whereas the TCL is very clear and quite full with a surprising ability to fill a large space with really nice audio. Get this TV, its the best showcase of min led tech for the price, its almost OLED levels for dark scenes (though OLED is even that bit better), but quite a bit better than oled/fald, and even QLED for bright scenes or mixed dark and bright. C845, U8K or X90L??? 🤔 if you delve into it too much online it's hard to get a straight answer. The C845 and the U8K are cheaper and here in the UK TCL are even lesser known than Hisense, Hisense is starting to get more popular I believe but with more 'unknown' brands it's hard to tell if you'll be getting something that lasts. Then you have the whole VA/IPS issue with Hisense's 75 inch models 🤷♂
Thank you for sharing your thoughts - particularly on other models. In Australia TCL is quite well known now and the displays they make are very hard to fault. Hi. I have the 55 inch version of this TV and I noticed when having dynamic tone mapping on in game mode the screen has a slight flicker, did you have the same when testing game mode?
I own the 55 inch version as well and mine was flickering mostly during a static or slow moving picture and I figured out that it was vrr that was causing it, so I disabled vrr and the flickering disappeared completely. I don't know if you have the same type of flicker but you should try disabling vrr because it's apparently a known issue with vrr that happens on other monitors and tvs as well. And vrr isn't even that good of a feature anyway, it's kind of useless unless you're constantly playing games that have unstable fps below your screens refresh rate, and even then it's not really a must use feature at all.
I'm very suprised you were happy with the viewing angles. Coming from a Panasonic Viera TX-P42S21B Plasma, I was aware it (VA panels) wouldn't have particularly good viewing angles, but I wasn't prepared for this. Even just sitting on one side of the screen, the far opposite end will be a little washed out, never mind with 20 degrees or more angle.... Even when you stand up loss of colour happens. You need to be directly in front of it, centered and eye level in the middle, or you are not getting the best picture. Otherwise you might as well buy a £200 TV because that's what it will look like.
This is still my current TV and I sit on when facing the TV to the right hand side on my lounge. Love it no issues or washed out images on the screen. I also watch TV when cooking which is from a distance on the left hand angle and have no experienced anything you've mentioned. If you follow me over on Instagram I post daily and the living room (most days) will be in the shots.

@@Parachoc_ We are currently working through the C755 and should have that up in the coming week. As soon as its edited we will start the 855 :) Thanks for touching base
do you think we will see a 43 mini in their line-up? The 50"845 at sub 1kaud is tempting and the closest spec 43 inch is about double atm. Am a bit curious what the c3 cost will be as the c4 is put on shelves though 🤔
Not sure at this stage if a 43" would be on the cards. The 50" as a monitor would work (i've tested a different brand before) but you have to sit a little back if it's a desk. Definitely a great deal the TCL range has a lot to offer
Not exactly a confirmation or answer to your question in regards to C845 but i had a redditor confirm for me that he was able to run 4k/120/VRR/ALLM/HDR/4:4:4 Chroma at 12 bits on the C805/C755/MQLED80 which has the newest mediatek SOC "Pentonic 700". I think it's safe to assume that this will be the case too if you manage to get your hands on a second edition C845 which will be labled as C845x2 within it's SKU number. I've just ordered a 75" C849 which is the same as the 845 on that very same bet, returning the recently bought C755/C805 for it.

Fantastic. Off film we tested footage from this years rounds of AFL and it looked great. We set it to sport mode. Polk make great audio products so I wouldn't think you'd need an upgrade.

The 835 is still a great model a lot of our friends actually purchased this after our first review on a Mini LED by TCL. It isn't as bright as the 845 which can sometimes can be a good thing when watching really dark content. Either way they are great choices
is this TV has Ambilight at the back of it’s TV? i don’t like that, Philips has this called Ambilight, it is so distracting those lights on the sides at the back of TV
@@TeamRetro i saw this TV in the showroom, it has small lights at the back of the TV imitating different colors of lights, i think this TV is for me, for me it is more of a gimmick.
Great review, more complete than others because include gaming. Playing my favourite racing games like isle of man 3 or rims racing or ride 4 on a screen so huge would be a dream, price is so affordable and 144hz + vrr is promising. Problem is response time, racing or competitive games require a very fast response time, under 1 ms, and I fear this is over 5 ms so it would have too much motion blur and input lag on that type of games. Can you tell me something about it, what was your impression
Thanks for watching! For the most part this doesn't affect most people but if you're a competitive gamer then I still recommend giving it a go before purchasing. We play a lot of Gran Turismo 7 and haven't found either to be an issue for us.

Thanks for your review. Noticed the subwoofer protrudes out of the back of the TV smack bang in the middle of where the VESA mount goes. What sort of wall mount do you use to mount it flat to your wall. Does mounting the TV against the wall affect the sound quality? Cheers.

This display absolutely would hold up against it. We're actually JUST about to review the two latest TCL TV's in the line up so if you're still undecided stay tuned for more reviews that we will be rolling out within the next three weeks. Thanks for watching.
@@TeamRetro As in the C855? That would be amazing as I'm struggling to find english reviews for it.
TCL C845 vs Sony x90L … which one is the winner?
Sony negs
Is the 55 inch good with less dimming zones
Hi, this tv can do 4k 120hz with VRR, ALLM and HDR enabled? And can you set 1440p on ps5 with this tv?
Could you please look into C755 details and tell us here which is better in numbers only
Hey there! We haven't got any details yet as it hasn't come to our market but you can compare on paper the below

Hello dear, thanks for review, do you recommend this tv over Sony X90l for gaming?
What's the LED lighting you have behind the tv?
Hi there! Thanks for watching. It is Nanoleaf 4D mirror kit. We don't use the camera and just manually select the colour we wish behind the unit.
@@TeamRetro Thanks for the reply!
does this tv get google live TV software update for free channels ?
Unsure as it's not something we get here in Australia, but it does have its own TCL Channel which looks to have similar content
Hi, really great review.. how is this TVs response time? Does it take too long to load online content?
Great idea for testing next video!
To comment it is lightning fast though and we've had no issues
no need to go to the theater anymore lol
It is great for home cinema / watching movies.
i also prefer watching movies at home. Better contrast, better colors, and what I like the most - motion smoothing. no more 24fps jitter!
ambient lighting orginal? of aftermarket
All lighting we use in the main living space is Nanoleaf. The bottom is a light strip and the TV is the 4D Mirroring kit for a 75Inch. We choose not to use the camera

Thanks for the review I have made up my mind and I've decided to get this tv next week. I went to a store and the sales rep even said it was good and that there is a 1 week wait for it. I am keen on my Aussie rules and hoping it will be suitable for it. as far as sound goes, I have a sound bar Polk MagniFi Max. do you think I need to update?
Fantastic. Off film we tested footage from this years rounds of AFL and it looked great. We set it to sport mode.
Polk make great audio products so I wouldn't think you'd need an upgrade.
Can’t decide in my country i have the 55 inch c835 and 65 inch c845 but the problem is that the 55inch c835 is much more suitable for my room i dont want go with a wrong decision as i can afford both , what do you think should i get?
The 835 is still a great model a lot of our friends actually purchased this after our first review on a Mini LED by TCL. It isn't as bright as the 845 which can sometimes can be a good thing when watching really dark content. Either way they are great choices
is this TV has Ambilight at the back of it’s TV?
i don’t like that, Philips has this called Ambilight, it is so distracting those lights on the sides at the back of TV
Thank you for the question. No it doesn't, I setup nanoleaf behind it because I personally like the ambient light.
Does it have background led lights?😮
Hi there! No we use Nanoleaf mirroring kit behind it to give that look
Did not mention up-scaling and it is hard to find people discussing this
I've watched a lot of C845 reviews, and I think upscaling are good for 1080p. Less than that the results are less positive.
Picked up my 75" c845 for $1850aud on ebay, (just missed out for $1699 before price hike) Still $600 cheaper than any other place. Looking forward to it arriving.
Its this tcl845 x2?
Sorry x2? This was the Australian release a year ago. I still use this exact display and love it.
@TeamRetro i mean what chip this tv you review has?
@@ersanosman4001 Oh - I can try to find out.
@@TeamRetro ok beacuse i buy this tv yesterday but what i heard this tv has 2 version i buy that one with newer chip like c805 has
Thanks for your review. Noticed the subwoofer protrudes out of the back of the TV smack bang in the middle of where the VESA mount goes. What sort of wall mount do you use to mount it flat to your wall. Does mounting the TV against the wall affect the sound quality? Cheers.
Great question - we used a regular VESA bracket and the TV comes with stand offs / spacers. It was really easy to wall mount.
Please compare c845 with c755
We've also reviewed the C735 ruclips.net/video/GBkR7OBzslk/видео.html
I'll see if we can work on other units this year and newer models. Thanks for watching.
This or samsung q60?
Thank you for watching. We've not tested a Samsung TV in a longtime so can't comment. I can say though that the TCL Mini LED range is stellar for the price.

120 hz or 144 ???
HDMI 1 - 144Hz (HDMI 2.1 cable)
HDMI 2 - 120Hz (HDMI 2.1 cable)
2:21 reflaction its sucks
the only good think just price :D Risky tv :D
Just like the other brands, always a risk. But on this you pay less for a good TV
Comes with 3 years warranty other brands come with 1
buyer beware , dont be fooled , have owned the 835 & 845 , both full of faults , zero customer service , tcl do not follow australian consumer law & make up rules as they go along , please avoid at all costs , any other brand of tv would be better than tcl .
Anyone with concerns can reach out via Instagram to myself @ 1UpEmily and I can pass on this to TCL's account there. I have and use daily the C735 with no faults along with the C845 and trust me this TV has been put through it's paces with testing. The Mini LED range has been purchased by people I know plus viewers have purchased (via comments on previous videos) & are more than happy with their display from TCL. Happy to help you Leigh if you've been unhappy with passing your details along.
@@TeamRetro thanks emily , this is more intended to help other people , if i can save others from the experiences ive suffered at the hand of tcl it will all be worth it . i understand some will have positive reviews , some will have negative aswell , this also isnt a shockjock like comment this is the my story with tcl so far , they have broken every law in the land , its been horrible for me .
Tell that to my LG that had 2 panels replaced in one year and stopped working the second. LG NEVER AGAIN. Samsung? Perhaps.

Next time stop faking Ambilight in the back of TV.
Not everyone will get that you did it separately. People will think that TV has such a feature.
Hello, what is the number of 75c845 (chip on film) cof ? Thank you
We’re not sure on this one, maybe if you want to head over to the TCL socials they can give you a hand?
