After giving my heart to the Lord back in high school, I remember evangelists saying things that put guilt and burdens on me and others, such as saying, you need to witness to to people and if you don't, if they die, you will be accountable for their soul on judgement day. So we tried to witness. Then my cousin ,who was my best friend since I was three years old,who I wanted to talk to,and share my new faith, got killed on a motorcycle. I had survivor's guilt for years. Anyway, there's alot more to the story of course. I'm doing a lot better as of the last few years because of good grace teachers like Andrew Farley and Brad Robertson and friends in a Grace group.
That is excellent Jay, I'm glad you have that support. And I absolutely love Andrew Farley! I appreciate you sharing your story. And I can empathize as well. I think many of us have those guilt laden stories of not sharing our faith with someone and them dying. Glad you are in the recovery process and are doing better.
