my dad took me to see notts county when i was about 6 years old and we sat on wooden benches that was 70 years ago..1st football match i had ever been too
My mother took me in October 1960. Wooden seats. Hundreds of men in flat caps smoking Woodbines is one of my memories. Still a fan but live in New Zealandnow.
@@iliketilly8002 I'll add a decade to that. 1970 aged 7 Notts v Bournemouth (with Ted McDougal). I can still smell the woodbines in the County Rd Stand.
Reminded me of THE game against the Spireites at Wembley. Passion from both sides. If/when we get promoted, I can't see this Cheltenham team far behind us in contention. Great game.

This is the first time i’ve actually seen Notts County play at our home stadium, and oh boy what a game that was.
Honestly a brilliant game of football. Fair play to your lot, played a great game. Hope we go up!!!
