Holy moly! Did the previous owner just have the neighbors 10 year old kids do the first installation? Carvana would be giving me a refund or paying for the repair for that mess! 🤯🤯🤯🤯🤯
Great work. So glad you guys fixed that wiring mess. Hard to imagine someone would do that, but it happens. What would you charge if someone brought in a C6 Grand Sport/ working Bose and wanted that Sony head unit installed? I will be getting that done in NE Ohio this winter and wondering what it should cost at a good shop?
It would really just depend on what model and features. You're more than welcome to send us an email And we could get you a quote. We are in Indianapolis octanetvinfo@gmail.com
just an odd question is but connectors a bad connector to use for this kind of wiring because that’s on of the main connectors i do use and i would love the pros opinion
The device that you're talking about near the dash speaker is a photoresistor not a potentiometer. A potentiometer is a variable resistor with a shaft and a knob (or a PC board mounted miniature pot that can be adjusted with a small screwdriver) that you can adjust it manually. The photoresistor changes its resistance by light hitting the sensor and changing the resistance value in correlation with the amount of light being detected. Good video though! Excellent mod for the Bluetooth microphone using the OEM location! 👍😊
Just bought a c6 z06 and it's in the same situation, if not worse than this, since the previous owner had a whole LED system installed as well. Its been giving me a massive headache.
Why didnt you use the factory mic? I did. then you dont have to use that ugly clip mike just connect a 3.5mm male audio connector tot he factory mic works like a carm
That is not a potentiometer in the center of the dash. A volume knob is a potentiometer. You are referring to a photo sensor. It detects light or the absence of light.
Probably 1 of my easiest install I have done if done right.had to re wire a c6 a audio shop did it just like this 1 but ran wires from the amp back to the cd player just cause they didn't wanna run the wire threw the doors and replace the factory speakers 🤦🏾♂️🤦🏾♂️shit was a nightmare
When you cut an OEM cable harness, it should automatically be 10 years of hard work in a Russian Gulag, You should NEVER cut in OEM cable harness, If you don't know what you do don't do it.
Wow,,lots of work..Carvana I hope helped this guy out with cost...Nice work..

Just Imagine how ragged out the drive train etc probably is with the debauchery of the working.
Uhhhggg ...... my GOD! That poor C6.
Dang, how about a trigger warning first. lol

This is an example of what happens when you "know a guy" that does it for cheap.
I've noticed EVERY audio installer is SCARRED SH!TLESS of a soldering iron !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have the best c6 sound system in the USA
