Hope Douglass, Ballet Dancer, Softball Player, talented at both but finds as you get older, school work, house chores and 'The Reality of Everyday Life' kick in and all of a sudden it's not enough to just be good at two things when people are telling you that you can be great at one thing. Problem is, when one parent wants sports for you and the other wants dance, ultimately it is YOU that has to make the decision and chose one... But what to choose, sports but maybe let down mom or dance, and crush dad's dreams for you. Decisions, decisions. Lucky Hope has a couple of friends who are so supportive, until one becomes the competition, and the other who wants to be so supportive, she is willing to step aside so Hope can succeed. Will Hope make the right decision or maybe she figures out a way to Have it All. In the end, Hope has to figure it all out on her own does she 'Dance' around her Problems or does she 'Swing for the Fences' and be True to herself and ultimately learn to Trust in 'Her Dreams'?

Don't know how to dance but everytime I saw this kind of dance, it always touches my soul.
Love that little girl Hope. :) Hope to have a little girl like her one day. I am mesmerized by the love and kindness in her eyes. She has such a beautiful character.
Why can't you be that person yourself having that in your eyes?
To me this movie is begging for a sequel because there were too many loose ends that left me hanging. While I was glad for the beautiful and talented Hope having her dreams realized , I would have also liked to see the brother being recognized for his academic achievements and her now wheelchair bound best friend making great strides in rehab and finding a new passion and creative outlet that she can excel in !

It’s a very good and wholesome movie, with great scenery around Santa Cruz, CA. The young dancers are quite good, and it’s worth watching esp if you love ballet.

I love Love LOVE dance movies! All and any kind of dance in a movie with a good plot. Even the ones with team dance battles where it looks like gymnastics, ballet, and Hip-Hop all put together! Loving it! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This was one of the most difficult films I have ever watched. Amazing acting.
I am a grandpa, and I watched this with my Darlingmost Wificle. I easily take her to watch ballet in the theatre, especially as I love Tchaikovsky and other great composers. Watching hope was really beautiful, as the girl actress was so natural, sweet and a young pro. Movies such as these add beauty and quality to our lives.

Took me back to that age when my friend collapsed at the bar and had her leg amputated soon after. She was dead within a year but we were never allowed to visit ... sickness, especially a terminal diagnosis was taboo in those days. I lost motivation but our other mate went on to join the National Ballet company and later became an acclaimed teacher.
That's very sad. Why did she have her leg amputated?

I cried many times….I can relate much to the parents side. How we push our children with our own dreams on them, being too hard on them. We parents fight over what we’ve wanted our kids to be. We’ll in the end of the story it just shows that mother’s knows best….just kidding (peace)❤.
We don’t own our children, they have the right to choose & decide. Let’s learn how to accept their decision sometimes & give them some advice. God entrust them to us. We parents are here to support our children’s dreams.
And then there are kids whose parents could care less if they wore the dancing dress upside down 😔

The movie was nice but I hope the parents put more focus also on their son but it was all about hope
Absolutely you must remember you have other children and they also need support. My brother was a better student in school then I. He wanted to go to W P I in Worcester, Mass. I told my mother that he needed their support to get there. So the family helped him as much as we could. He graduated from there and did very successfully all his life.

At the age of 13 I faced same type of problem like that. I was selected as a professional cricketer for my district cricket team U-14 and at the same time won divisional championship in debate competition and got the chance to attend for the national championship. That was so hard to me to choose one.

A gond az, hogy amikor az egyik szülő sportot szeretne neked, a másik pedig táncolni, akkor végül TE hozod a döntést , és választasz egyet... De mit válassz, sportot, akkor cserben hagyod anyát, vagy táncolsz, és összetöröd apa álmait.veled. Döntések. Lucky Hope-nak van pár barátja, aki addig támogat, amíg nem lesz a versenytárs, a másik pedig, aki ennyire támogatni akar, hajlandó félreállni, hogy Hope sikeres legyen. Vajon Hope meghozza-e a helyes döntést, vagy talán kitalálja a módját, hogy minden legyen. At all it's a really beautiful movie.
But at the autition for nutcracker some things were strange. At the beginning and at the end, hope (and Deni) worn flat shoes, but in the middle of there dances, they weared pointe shoes. And also, why did Hope weared pointeshoes without ribbons and shoes, who didn't got fitted for her.
And in the show at the end: Why did Hope wear her dress even tu trive to the studio. And why did she wear another one at the show.

To me, the acting didn’t seem that good. I did enjoy the ballet moves, the plot in general isn’t trivial and kept me in suspense all along.
I love the part with the cooperation of Hope and the famous star. I enjoyed watching it evolve. It was very touching.
There’s something about this film, that’s true but it’s not the acting.

The dancing leaves a lot to be desired, and unfortunately so does the acting.
I mean, I didn’t analyze it too closely but it didn’t look like there were any stunt doubles and the double pirouettes looked pretty legit to me.
