Intriguing to see how common this problem is after using this bike for a while. I've had this happen twice and, as one of the commenters mentioned, the first time you can screw it back in but later the threads wear away and you'd have a problem putting in a replacement pedal. Otherwise its a pretty good bike.

Super helpful. I'm having the exact same problem with the pedals about one year in.
I"m also a bit taller, so having the longer crank arms should be good. Thanks a bunch.

Thanks for the video. I’ve had my Flexispot bike for about three years now. I managed to get the left pedal back in about two years ago and it stayed in until this morning. Can’t get it to stay in now, unfortunately. I’ll be ordering the parts you’ve listed and get this thing going again.
After using it for at least 30 minutes daily, the bike still holds up fairly well.
Edit: The Forged steel left arm seems to not be available anymore - do you have an alternative?

Hi Sam - thanks for doing this, it looks like a neat solution. I've purchased the parts and tools described but I'm struggling to unscrew the central crank bolts. They are really tight! Any ideas for how to do that?

at 9 minutes into video, I show how to thread the black bolt, then while holding the black bolt with Cresent wrench, I will crank with another cresent wrench on the silver piece clockwise. When I do this, it drives the silver potion in. This inward movement will cause the outer pedal support arm to move towards you. Hope this helps.

@@sampath666 - that worked! Got it up and running, it's better than new. Love the longer crank arms as I'm on the tall side :)

Thanks for this. I didn't know it was a crank puller I needed until I watched. Do you know if anything else is needed besides a screwdriver to take the side panels off? I'm trying to fix the drive belt (think it's slipped off the wheel, so there's no tension when pedalling).

Thank you for the video! Have you had an issue where the tension no longer works no matter the setting? Mine just stopped working and am trying to find a clue on how to fix it. Thank you!

I just bought mine but it didn't come with the gel pedal covers. They said the do now make them. It's there a serial number or brand mark on them? I want to ride barefoot. Thanks.

the pedals they provide are not Gel and after awhile will begin to tear off. So if they said they no longer supply them on the bike, then that must be the reason. You can also wrap the pedal so it will not prick into your soles. 2nd more expensive option is noted above.

you can purchase these from Amazon, but remember what you have are TWO LEFT Crank pedals on that bike. So you need to purchase two of these sets and only use the left and discard the right! This is due to the thread orientation and you will see that the left pedal only goes on the left crank arm (Sorry, not sure what else to do) I have used them and they were excellent and comfortable. amzn.to/3a7HrF5

@@samsparkingonly3396 Thanks for uploading this! It's super helpful. I bought mine this year and I'm having the same issue as Christine. The pedals have no gel covers so they're really uncomfortable without shoes/slippers. I've been eyeing those pedals from Amazon. Which spindle size fits the Flexispot, the 1/2 or the 9/16?

@@kiysgfdkvhbbjx Hi Rachel...it is the 9/16...also I put a link that had the exercise pedals that were very comfortable, but the problem is you need two left, just like the two left spindle. You will have to see how it threads before install, so you don't cross thread it. I think from what I recalled, it is a left handed screw. I will repost the link here... amzn.to/3wlHRjW

Hi thanks for this video! How is the crank arm with pedal holding up? Do you use the bike often? My original right pedal broke after 4 weeks. A replacement pedal won’t fix it since the thread is destroyed. Trying to get flexispot to replace the entire bike or send a replacement part (the entire crank arm with pedal). I think I’ll try this new crank arm method in your video. I really do like this bike it’s a shame this happens.

yes, they did the same. which is send me a pedal. But the problem is the crank arm. Since they use Aluminum, it is a very brittle material and with repeated use, it will fall apart. So far so good, but I have not used it as much since I am doing other things. I think it is a waste of time to get another and the same issue will happen. They really need to put a steel crank. Keep in mind the amount of force on that arm. Aluminum has no chance. I looked at bikes, and they are steel.
