Dude... I just returned back into Eve after 12 years Awol and your vids are getting me sold on Abissal running to get my pvp chops back... Thanks for your time on these
i been running a talwar belting in .4 systems in minmitar space. it makes some good isk for something under 7m and rockets. can kill everything including bs commanders and clone soldiers. between ~4m warp fields and bounty its a nice break from abyssal.
As usual I had to get one of your inspiring ideas and try it, Fun was had! Got into armor, overheated my guns, flew like a noob, got out by the skin of my teeth! Damn good fun! Thanks Capt! 😃
Im running a worm currently but im training the skills for the hawk 19 days away, i did 100s of runs in a hookbill rocket in darks so this should be a cake work.
How'd the Hawk work for you? I used a Worm forever but just switched to a Hawk after losing a Worm from a stupid mistake. Hawk + implants is waaaay cheaper than my Worm fit and it seems like it's doing a better job too.
@@aftermgates its hands down the best frig to use for omegas worms best for alphas you can use them in t2 but theres huge risks i grinded with the hawk in t1 till i could afford a passive gila fit and now im grinding t3s
@@captainbenzie Hey Captain, I used your Hawk fit, mostly, and yeah, kills everything and even though I am very new, it is the most fun ship to take to Abyssal space so far. Thanks for the content and the great fit. I did not have the skills for all the parts you had on it, so I used a small F-S, whatever instead of the medium. Works fine so far.
Really enjoying this fit, I can't quite fit it, need another rank for Afterburner II and can't get the bay loading rig on there but it's fun, haven't built up the courage to do level 2 yet because I'm very space poor but 0-1 have been good. I also have a slightly modified one for ratting with a probe scanner but it's a bit slow going with the short ranged rockets and big maps. Considering trying light missile launchers for the ratting but tech 2 heavy missiles is a higher priority right now for my Drake.
Swap the bay loading accelerator with a fuel cache partition, and you're good. Gives your rage rockets everything they need to succeed. Only have to do javelin on some of the more ranged orbits
I tested this fit first in a T0 Dark. That thing melts some faces up close. Been ages since I used blasters or rockets. Excellent fun. Now for some T1s.
@@captainbenzieworked fine! I am in the 15 year toon though with all but max rocket skills. The battleships had me worried for a while to I worked out their range and that they were sitting in a tracking bonus tower. After that I orbited at 10km and they couldn't hit me. Just took ammo after that. Need to consider bringing the alt to hack and tactics for that.

Thank God it does not go recursive into cans!!!! I did however recycle all my station containers.... now I have 500 items worth 500mil in one pile.
I just got back into Eve after many years and been trying to get through T1 but with a cruiser, do you have any tips? I've tried both Vexor and Rapture fits that are recommended in fittings list (e.g. look for T1 Abyssal Vexor). And I was completely outmatched. Vexor did one calm exotic fine, but second time ran into a cruiser drone that instantly popped all my 15 drones as soon as they got in range (like I could not even recall them back or anything, they just vanished as soon as they got in range of it). After which killed my Vexor in like 4 hits. Rapture didn't even stand a chance because it missed frigate drones way too much. I am currently training for the Caladari missile boat (forgot what's it called) to try and outrange them, idk?
Just tried Caracal "T1 Abyssal Build" bs. Ran into 3 devoted hunters. No chance. They ate me for breakfast and asked for desert. Wasn't even a fight. Not sure what to do now since I don't have money for another ship and if I did it would just get popped again. Maybe I'll put this game down for another few years...
How would you fight 3x devoted knight with this? Just brawl them? I usually kite them with light missiles, but it seems like thatd be harder with the lesser range of the rockets
Whilst I agree it can have niche uses, I'd never want the actual autotargeting function as you're actively flying in Abyssals, and target priority is often life and death. As for the ability to lock more targets... Fair enough, but I don't think I've personally ever sat in an Abyssal and wished I could lock an extra target or two 😊 That said, whatever works for you can only be a good thing!
@@captainbenzie Yeah, I think I have many habits that got my ships killed often, but auto targeting was not one of them, I think... Of course, the biggest threat is the enemy ships (dah) lol
Veeeeeery expensive and honestly I'm not sure the ramp up DPS is worth it. I can fly them, but never taken into Abyss because of a) cost, and b) how Entropic Disintegrators work
I love the Hawk too. But I die 99% of the time if I meet with the Devoted Knight, or the Marshal. Otherwise I die 80% with the Lucifer Cynabal or any Angel room. Any suggestions are very helpful, thanks!
@@newchaoz nah, Abyssals are tough and you often just need to learn the limits of your ship and how to handle some really quite tough groups of opponents.
You used to be able to do T3's in a Hawk like this before Cynabals were added. It took a blingy shield rep and T3 implants but it was a beast. Probably why they added the Cynabals.
Awesome video, Benzie. Do you plan on doing other content in EvE? I'd love to see more exploration fits/content, or are you planning on doing any of the new Faction warfare? I'm just getting a little burnt out with T1 Abbysal deadspaces atm. Haha don't worry, plenty of variety coming! Just with me being away for this week, I needed a load of content quickly, which meant showcasing Kestrel/Hookbill/Hawk was easy to put together, and the Rifter one came in there completely by accident. Next week has Exploration, fittings, a thought piece, and even hauling!
