    Thanks for this. Most tutorials I've watched just throw in the containers with explaining what's happening. This one gives a lot more insight - making the whole thing easier to understand.

    2 People want to use Microsoft BI. A pity really. I appreciate the video and appreciate how it increased my understanding. I really like that you kept it to 10 minutes. When I started my search for content that was the key point of the query. I subscribed and look forward to new content. Thank you.

    This is extremely helpful because container management is often overlooked in favor of other functionalities. I was designing a dashboard using DZV with vertical containers and each containing grouped horizontal containers. I've been struggling with this for a while simply because I didn't know some basic things. Thank you for your video; it has been very helpful in understanding how they work.

    Omg I had no idea I could play Legos in tableau! This is awesome. Thank you. Now I just need to master LODs so my tiles make sense. Good thing you have an amazing playlist just for that topic.
    Btw would love to see you expand on LODs by just showing more examples. Specifically, I want to combine maps and LOD calculations at a zip code lvl.

    I'm having trouble shading the outer padding space in one of my dashboards. Do you have a video for how to adjust the outer padding shading?

    • @TableauTim
      @TableauTim  3 года назад +1

      You cant shade the outer padding. Just the background and obect colour border and the object itself.

    • @davidpuddicombe7946
      @davidpuddicombe7946 3 года назад

      @@TableauTim Thanks Tim! Does that mean if outer padding is used the outer padding space will always be white? Or is there a way to color it the same as the rest of the dashboard area?

    Hi, thanks for the video. It's very helpful! I'm a beginner and don't really know what happened here - some filters I need to put on the same page were in horizontal and some were in tile option; I learned this from "select container: horizontal" (or tile). Is there a way I can change from horizontal to tile (or the opposite way)? I tried to drag a filter (tile) and drop it in the middle of other filters (horizontal) to make everything in a horizontal form. Also, I tried dragging and dropping on the Item hierarchy in Layout on the left panel. None of them worked out. Do you have any clue what went wrong?

    hello, how do i add a horizontal scroll bar for worksheet?

    • @TableauTim
      @TableauTim  4 года назад +1

      if you set the sheet width to be larger than the dashboard you should get a scroll bar. If not if you set the dahsboard to be ultrawide and then put it insde a div container thats smaller, the scrollbar will appear. Her'es an example public.tableau.com/views/The12LaboursofHeracles/The12LaboursofHeracles?:language=en&:display_count=y&publish=yes&:origin=viz_share_link:showVizHome=no
