I just love these older videos. Still as valid and useful as back then, and Mike had a certain stylistic way to narrate them. I feel.
Yes, this is old. I was younger, did not have a good mic, and did not do any editing on the video. Thanks for watching the old ones too : )

This (and you) are the best thing I have seen in a very long time. Sir, you have a real talent! It is all so interesting and I have seen plenty of Excel Tutorial's and they were anything but! I am starting my dissertation soon and I noticed you had Excel and Statistics- plus it occurred to me if I watch all your videos (maybe an hour or 2 a day) I'll be a whiz. With all the new thing's I didn't know about, my dissertation will be done, probably published and I'll be Dr. Chicoine! THANK YOU!!!!
Dear alaaahmed,
I am glad that you like the videos!

The key to getting exactly the video you want from the excelisfun channel is to search for and watch this video:
Search For Excel Videos Download Excel Files excelisfun
After you watch that you will know how to get to the Playlists. Then in the Playlist look for the "Payroll" Playlist.
Thank you very much. This is exactly the information I always wanted to keep track of my bank statements. Excel should have this video appear immediately after its installation to demonstrate pivot tables.
Thank you
YOU ARE WELCOME!
This THE BEST tutorial about pivot tables! I just spent 2 hours looking thru the various tutorials, and the others make it impossible to find the files to download, or they don't bother finishing the tutorial, or something. THANK YOU for the help. I'm very good with excel, but I know little about pivot tables.
Great pivot table demonstration as are all of your videos. I set up several pivot tables for analysis of the upcoming fiscal 2011 budget for our county's hospital district and the boss loves it. I LOVE pivot tables. Thanks for all you do.
Me too - The Date Trick is very powerful!
Very good tip!! I love saving clicks!
Thank you for this pivot table tutorial. I've read books on this and still didn't couldn't get it. It was lot easier than I thought, and the group option makes a lot more easier to read. Best excel tutorial out there. Thanx again.

@ExcelIsFun Thanks! You're a life saver. It strikes me as an obscure way of doing it. I think they should make this type of function much simpler.
Now you know! Excel is fun!
the 4th video in the "Various Excel Payroll & Time Tricks" playlist has most of the answer you need.

The trick is to drop the Age in the row labels, then group while it is in the row label, then drag it to the Report Filter.
That should do it!

It is the file at the very top -- Excel Basics.
I just subscribed to this channel. I can't believe I didn't find this amazing collection of Excel tutorials until now. The teacher is great and sounds like he is really interested in the subject and is very enthusiastic. This makes for very engaging viewing.
Thank you so much for putting all of these. I can not tell you how many times you've helped me professionally! I literally just got a promotion and my excel skills (learned by watching your videos) played a big role in that. Your videos are always clear, informative and short and to the point!! Keep up the good work! I love learning new things in Excel.
The video shows the field list on the right (Excel 2007) and then the pivotTable area, which has the pivotable options shown as Excel 2003) - so to match what you see in the video, drag and drop the fileds just as you see in the field list (right side) - then you should be able to get it to look like in the video.

I love all the Excel tutorials by ExcellsFun! You really make Excel seems a lot more exciting and useful! Have learnt so much from you! Really appreciate these awesome tutorials! So clear, concise and interesting! Didn't realise there is so much Excel can do! Thank You!
If you set your data table up as an 'Excel Table', then all you have to do is right-click the PivotTable and point to 'Refresh'. See this video:
RUclipsrsLoveExcel#25: Dynamic Range for Pivot Table & Chart
If you do not have data set up as an 'Excel Table', then in Excel 2007 / 2010 you have to go to PivotTable Tools Options ribbon and click on the 'Chnage Data Source' button. In earlier versions, go to the PivotTable wizard and in step 2 change data source.
