Rilo Kiley live January 9, 2004 at the Glass House in Pomona, California. Audience recording, but a nicely done multicam effort. This intimate, stripped-down performance of Rilo Kiley marked the very beginning of the More Adventurous era, and this was a fittingly adventurous show, featuring several new songs. It's mostly just Jenny and Blake, though the other members of Rilo Kiley also make appearances among other fun surprises.

I believe the person behind putting this wonderful recording together was my ol' bud Mo (a.k.a. raindv) but I've lost touch with him. He had permission from the band to film, though the venue did not allow access to the soundboard so the audio isn't as good as it could have been. I make no claims of ownership of anything, though technically I am a featured performer on the recording. I am NOT the guy in the red shirt who hangs out onstage, but I was front row and got to briefly sing a few bars with Jenny Lewis during "With Arms Outstretched". It was a special night for me and that's part of the reason I'm uploading it to RUclips on the 20th anniversary of the show. For the record I met my wife through our mutual RK fandom and we're going on 10 years together this year, so that's pretty cool.

What an excellent upload! In my opinion these early 2004 shows represent the band at the absolute height of their powers. Fresh with a great batch of new songs which they test with the audience. Constantly changing instruments, vocals and trying out new stuff. Killer cover songs, too! Thanks!

Aw, just 2 months before this I was at a show for Death Cab for Cutie at the Glass House. I saw Rilo Kiley in August 2004 at the Epicentre in San Diego
