  • Tenri is a place i fell in love with Japan, it occupies a very special place in my memory. I first came here 9 years ago as an exchange student at Tenri University. Its was a first time i visited Japan in my life. This year my husband surprised me with a trip to Tenri for my birthday.

    I went to the Tenrikyo church in France, just outside Paris, a few times. The feeling of community there was great, I felt a sense of peacefulness there.The church members all ate together after the service in the food hall. Everyone made me feel very welcome, I made friends there. I was told about Tenri and have since always wanted to visit it. I am now living back in my own country (UK), there is a Tenrikyo church in the capital city, London, but I live far away from the capital, it's a pity. If there was a Tenrikyo church nearby I would most certainly be a regular attendee. It was good to see your video. Thank you.

    That Tenrikyo complex looks huge... I was just reading about the religion, they have cool theology - GOTTA BE JOYFUL!

    • @My_Japan_Days
      @My_Japan_Days  3 года назад +1

      yeah, it is huge! I think we spent a whole hour wondering around the shrine:) the origin of Tenrikyo is also very interesting

  • @kenomoto619
    @kenomoto619 3 года назад +2

    It's not a temple but a shrine cause temple refer to Buddhism & when Tenrikyo first became a religion it was classified as Shinto by Japanese government during that time but became a independent religion which I'm a devoted fellower of it

      @@My_Japan_Days no, there are 2 music sirens atop the pool that play every day at 2pm, i think to signal the town to pray
