  • On May 18th and 19th 2024, a Railtour organized by the Irish Railway Record Society saw 2600 Class No. 2601/2602 repainted into a retro livery "Arrow" livery commemorating 30 years of the service.
The tour began in Cork Kent before travelling to Dublin Heuston, Adamstown, Grand Canal Dock, Dundalk, Kilbarrack, Howth, Dublin Connolly, Maynooth, Clonsilla, M3 Parkway and Cobh.
Some executives from J-TREC (formerly Tokyu Car Corporation) were even onboard a portion of the railtour!
Altogether it was great to see the orange and black back out on the network and a great event! Even the sun came out for the weekend!

I really miss the Class 2600 up and down the Northern and Southern commuter line while it had the old Commuter Green livery 😢

Yeah, I have to agree and correct me if I'm wrong, when the new Dart fleet comes it the class 29000 would be phased out

@@Transport_Mayhem They won't be phased out however they will be repositioned. The only one I know about is the 3 8 car units based in Dundalk for morning and evening trains.
