I just had a purple variety flower for the first time but it dropped after about a week. The southern exposure on the DF looks a little sunburnt. What variety is that or color? I also grow orange.

It's the purple variety. I'm aware of sunburn damage that's why I'm creating microclimates for them and starfruit. 😊

Man nooo don’t cut it , tip every branch and high phosphorous liquid and dry ferlizer after you let it dry for like 2 weeks to a month it will be craving water that’s when you hit it with that high phosphorus fertilizer after you tipped it it will shock it into wanting to reproduce because its situation ain’t to good it’s dry that’s what I been told that’s my strategy my 3rd year no fruit yet I’m hoping this late season here in southern Cali is the one I’ll be so so happy

No worries bro I'm only thinning some out to make room for my yellow variety. As far as nutrients it will only get natural organic on top of compost and wood chips so when watered down it will have a tea filled with microbiology living soil. Only thing I purchase is liquid kelp, and chelated iron w/ micronutrients. Other than that it's going to rely on Jadam practices. Fish emulsion, diluted urine, fermented chicken manure and such.
