Second, though music is taught from elementary school, but in most households, public schools, lots of musical instruments are not available..brass, piano, drum sets..mostly only stringed instruments are all they have! Third, missing here are strong local influences with a pure jazz inclined; parents, individual, celebrity, because most of them are doing their music business abroad and took base there! All we have are the amazing tons of Singers/Vocalists.

FYI in indonesia jazz are one of the most popular genre, even the indie band 80% of them are influenced by jazz genre
