- I could not be more excited to share another Belize International Airport plane spotting video with you guys! Although this winter season has not seen as heavy traffic as previous years, there is still plenty of action to film. Also, unlike previous videos, the filming is rather stationary due to the new mesh grill that was installed at the restaurant viewing area. Nonetheless, I want to thank Global Spice Restaurant for their hospitality. It was another successful Saturday spotting trip! I hope you guys enjoy and do provide any feedback you may have.

Wow that southwest jet must have slammed on the brakes at landing. I have never seen a jet not pass the taxiway at pgia. Nice video. Belize has become more busy. I remember the days of American coming in the morning and Continental (now United), in the afternoon.
I thought the exact same thing about the Southwest aircraft, it’s a very rare occurrence. The country is definitely gaining more popularity and I’m so excited to see what future routes will be introduced! Thanks for your comment
Maybe the plane was also low on weight so it stopped quicker 🤷🏽♂
@@jaydentillett7466 that is also possible but it’s a very short runway and I think most airlines pass the taxiway and backtrack for passenger comfort. But as you said, perhaps the plane was light. This is a rare occurrence at the Belize airport as most airliners have to turn around and backtrack.
Yes it definitely is a possibility and I do believe I noticed it also touched down a bit sooner than most aircraft on this runway.
This is definitely true! It’s a shorter than normal runway and almost all the time aircraft will pass the taxiway. However, I am hearing that construction on a new taxiway at the end of the runway should be commencing!
I wonder if there will be a day where Belize gets more than 737's in the airport
Oh it’s definitely happening slowly but surely! Just the other day, Belize welcomed a United 757 from Houston and it also sees occasional visits from heavies such as A330s, B777s, and A350s for cargo purposes as well as diplomatic and military visits!
Huge American influence. Totally dominant! Not a single European, Mexican or Latin American Airline.
Yes, the traffic here in Belize is certainly heavy from North America. Our Mexican and Central American traffic is limited with airlines such as TAG coming in from Guatemala, Copa Airlines from Panama and our very own Tropic Air connecting us to destinations in Mexico, Honduras, El Salvador, and Guatemala!
Hopefully Jetblue offers nonstop flights from JFK, no other airline offers that other than United which unfortunately they fly out of Newark which SUCKS to drive to from the NYC area. If the merge with Spirit airlines goes through with the regulators, that might be a possibility. Thats money thats just sitting there for the taking for any airline to take.
With Belize’s popularity growing rapidly in North America, it could definitely be a seasonal (winter) possibility.
@@BelizeanOnBoard also bway that mesh is so ugly they could have used plexiglass instead, that ways it didnt feel like you were at a prison looking out the window, watching life go by 😆😆
@@killomon27 Plexi glass might interfere with the raw sound in my opinion. I’d rather they have either nothing there or maybe some openings. I definitely don’t prefer filming stationary but I there was no choice
