Drill a hole and drop the gas line down thorough/below the deck.
I love how you said courage is needed at the end! Thanks for the encouragement, I think alot of us need it.
DEFINITELY putting this on the "To-Do' list when I purchase my home 😊
Wish you good luck 👍
@@AjayKler Thank you
Enjoy your videos man, definitely appreciate you showing your mess ups, showing that you are taking risks and still coming out successful. Helps me feel more confident to go out of my comfort zone to try more daunting projects. Thank you so much, I hope the best for you and your channel! Keep posting!
I enjoy your videos. You have an excellent personality and what I appreciate is you are not ashamed to admit your mistakes! Keep it up.
I can’t wait to have my own home to start these projects
These videos get better and better, did you consider at one point putting the tank inside the undercarriage of the table?
I love your motto, “Courage & Sweat” ~ I just started woodworking & I love how relatable you & your wife are. Thanks for sharing all aspects of your builds! Great job Alex! 👍🏼
Really enjoyed the longer video this week! And the music selection, much more relaxing vibe.
I wish my kids would believe in me whenever I take up new projects. You're so lucky
Prove to them you're worth the benefit
I don’t think there is a video you have made that I haven’t watched the whole thing! Amazing man! Keep the content coming!
waooo buddy you have all my dream power tools in your garage and i love ypur channel first time watching love it
I've been thinking about something like this for a few weeks now for my porch! Awesome to see you go through all the troubleshooting for me! 😂 Great job!
Teflon tape is only necessary on the pipe fittings due to the tapered thread. The flare fittings will seal air tight as long as they are properly tightened.
great work, but the only thing i can think of the whole time i'm watching is how bad my wife would trip when she seen me sanding and getting her rug all dirty lol
Lol, my wife would break my f**kin' legs
I thought the same exact thing lol
Half of that rug is yours..
That's all I was thinking LOL
@@johnsizemore1666 that's funny shit dude
It's over 100 degrees here (Meridian) and you built a firepit... I like it sir
You have the best channel I've found so far for diy projects, you make mistakes, don't claim to be an expert, but most importantly make these projects feel obtainable for the ordinary man/woman. Keep up the great work brother!
I have no plans to build anything but I still watch a lot of your vids lol. They’re so interesting!
Just love learning new things everyday from you! Cool project 👍🏾
"keep going 'til we make mistakes"
I'd where that t-shirt
should be "keep going, we'll make mistakes. I'd wear either shirts.
All I could think about was kids
Yeah especially when doing gas work. That’s a logical way of thinking for sure bud. It takes a gas leak to know a gas leak
Great build. A sugge is to hide the gas hose underneath the deck. Loosen one board underneath the concrete thing, thread it and up to where the gas tank is.
Nice job, love the videos! If the space is available underneath the patio, would reccomend a trap door beneath the rug for the propane tank. Easy access to refill or replace the tank and would look better having it out of sight of the house.
I'm looking to build my own as well. Looking at a few videos for inspiration on how to build the frame. I'm getting a burner ( 30"x 10"). so mine will be rectangular. Thanks for the video man, it got me thinking. Btw, you don't need to apply teflon or pipe dope to the threads of a flared type fitting. You only need to use it when you have a male threaded pipe going in a female threaded fitting. I'm a licensed gas tech in Canada.
Haha, love that one of my favorite JRE episodes it running in the background...probably talking skinwalker ranch!!
Thanks for keeping me inspired to keep projects going!
That’s freaking awesome! Love it!
Nice job! I love your positivity.
Just started watching your channel. Best home improvement videos on RUclips. Keep up the good work
Great vids.. You give off a strong gemini vibe
the home depot song lol, and side note your son is so adorable its sweet that you sprayed him water while you were water sanding the cement
Hey! It’s Eagle Rd. It’s beautiful to see familiar parts of Idaho within your videos.😃
You are amazing! Thanks for ALL your builds and your encouragement!!
What kind of rug is that lol? like an outdoor water repellant rug? when you were using the hose on the firepit i was like the rug!?!?! lol
The fighter and the kid another great podcast. Dont touch me but keep touching me!
this channel is amazing
Awesome skill, appreciated your time to do the video and share it for us, take care and keep building beautiful stuff ™️👩🔧
I really love this idea mixed with Michael Builds technique. Very inspirational and appreciate you sharing your hard work. I do advise you though to go back and research wrapping the compression side of your gas fittings. Because they are compression you do not have to wrap them, and if you do wrap they could possibly create leaks and or clog your line. Be safe friend and can't wait to watch more of your stuff.
have loved every single video of yours so far!!! so cool what you are able to do!!
Honestly speaking with the amount of effort you puts in your videos you get a pass for bad audio ❤️I enjoy your videos very much I admire your energy you are one of my favorite youtubers
Well done! definetly inspiring, thanks for sharing your process and wisdom. Have you considered hiding that propane hose? you did such a killer job that its a shame to see that thing. Possibly drill a hole under the pit and run the line under the deck? Keep crushing it my guy!
Great content !! Man love how you explain everything, and show every angle perfectly!! Great job .
Dude,
This is the first video of yours Ive seen. AWSOME job. Love the way it came out. Going to ha e to build one in my off season.
It's looking pretty good out there, all pulling together nicely. 👌🏾
Awesome job mate. 👍🏾
He needs his own show
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Great job as usual. Mr. Built it if your brain goes wacko when the temperatures go close to 99 degrees, imagine if you experienced 118 degrees that we had yesterday in Arizona. Stay Safe & Healthy... Abrazos
He Just keeps raising the value of the house
At least you’ve got a proper Truck! Super Duty’s rock!
I’m gonna definitely try this! Great idea Mr. Build it👍🏼 also would want to cover the gas line that connects to the tank like that it looks more legit and won’t be a trip hazard
Mr build it ur hilarious its a blast watching i am so down these days we had a death in d family n wen i watch u ur stints make me laugh thks man thks alot.
I seen the cut out and thought what a great DIY wall art. Can get a mirror put in the in the middle. Also you can make a coffee table how you made the base for the fire place.
So, this was already on my ‘to-do’ list but now I have better ideas for it, thanks! Great video.
QUESTION: what is the fire ring/hardware you went with? I’ve seen a lot out there at various quality and price points.
As always.... great job dude!!
really want to make one of these! Loved the editing too!
Awesome fire pit. Also I like your Idaho shirt!!
I like you cuz you make little mistakes and you show it but the projects come out awesome I'm a recommend you to a couple of more people thanks
You are so awesome, that's a great firepit to market 😀
Super solid, as always. Thanks!
Nice video, saludos desde México 🇲🇽✌️
I like how he got a new tattoo half way through the video
Awesome! Looks super nice
Love the cinematography, videos looking good!!
Here in Australia we hit around 46 plus celcius which is around 118f I think, our summers are intense sometimes haha, good job on the project mate keep it up 👌
This is an awesome project!!!
Looks great!
You should build a box for your tank, it would look cleaner and help protect it from getting knocked over. The Lava rock is cool, but I prefer the colored glass beads, they catch the light of the fire and give a nice glint. Of course the downside is they need to be cleaned at least once a year to stay looking nice.
Nicely done! 😃👍🏻👊🏻
very entertaining. thanks man.
Love your vids! You are the maaaaaaaaaaaan!
Anyone noticed he’s always got Joe Rogans podcast playing on his TV
I had wondered if it was an Easter egg, making a silent statement or just he watches it a lot. Who knows?
And the American Flag..This guy is Awesome!!
John Sizemore lol I know, it’s funny how I was just interested in how he build it but there are few glimpses into his life in the video, a lot of which I share! It’s awesome
Daniel Winters85 because the plot wasn’t very good
@@danieljw1985 Every social media seems to use likes and dislikes differently, so some people use them differently i guess. I never hit dislike. People put work into the vids, that needs to be respected. If I don't like the content, I just watch something else. But I am teetering on the edge of not watching due to excessive ads. April Wilkersons youtube channel is getting to be like that too. Shame, because I like the channels, content and content creators, ...but way too many ads...and then the ad part the creator adds into the video. sadly I hope my other channels I watch don't get too famous
That Idaho tank top hell yeah.
We're moving into a new home and I was thinking about building one for our patio, but adding some color or glow effect epoxy top to it for when my wife and I are chilling at night.
Keep up the great work!
Love this! Great tutorial, great vibe!
oooh your son has just the sweetest smile
I love your work ethic, you get the job done properly.ow do you know so much ?? haha
I love your vids bro keep it up 👍🏼
Awesome project, as always!
Great build. I started the same project myself. The base will be pallet wood. Had to but it on the back burner 😂 because of work. The top will be concrete like you did.
You can actual put the tank inside the base with enough separation and air flow. Since you are on a deck and with that large hole you cut out the bottom you should have been good.
You might want to put metal rods or mesh inside the concrete top though, as concrete can crack outside and be aware the slight overhang might break easily, but it's pretty thick so idk 🤔 oh, and I would have added ventilation holes in the base, so in case of leak the gas doesn't build up inside
Other than that it's great for it to be so light, not to put too much stress on the terrace beams, the waterproof finish is a really bright idea and I love how you made it really easy and straight to the point, the design looks really flush and modern
Keep up the good work!
Great video, great communication to your followers, nice work on showing, or at least admitting your mess ups and how to proceed forward. And lastly, what kind of camera, and videoing equipment do you use, and do you edit and take care of your own videos?
Great job man!
Just awesome 😎
With that nice modern table, you might look into “fire glass” instead of lava rocks...It’s more expensive, but very cool looking
I just looked that up its BEAUTIFUL
Dante, I know! I have it in a gas fireplace and a fire table. There are so many colors!
my hero!!! xoxo
I love that you're watching Rogan in the background!
Awesome job boss
Great job. Thank you.
Mr. Build It and John Malecki share the same Microphone
That was a great podcast!
very cool nickmercs, thank you
Great project and video as usual. Not your normal stuff but very apt for me as I'm planning something similar but half sunk
Drill a small hole in the corner of the deck where the propane tank is and run the hose UNDER the deck to the burner from underneath. Would be way cleaner.
Great video, can’t believe I didn’t find your channel before, hope your new mic works
Excelente i love it good ideal I will do that. Thanks
A really cool series you could do is buy a house and restore the entire thing. Would take months but would make a lot of videos and show more basic builds to new subscribers.
Nice Job brother...
Nice work
At what point does this guy run out of things to renovate in his house 😂
Was thinking the same, soon he is going to be out of space for new projects
It's the perfect system, by the time he's done everything, it's time to start over.
When you run out of things to do you buy a new house
I have a ton of renovations if he runs out of things.
When or if they put it up for sale
Love the video, but I wish you included a materials list in the description for people who want to re-create your project
Links for material is in description
I’m am ready to just in on all these projects. Now I just need the house lol
